phillosopherp
So I am basically trying to create world that is truly that the whole world. I am basically only trying to have a few nations as playable, but to have them all in the background. Is this actually possible? Every time I look to do this I get the number of players showing in red. I assume this means that either a) the db doesn't have enough players in it, or b) my computer can't handle the load. So can a vet tell me how I should go about trying to do this, or at least what they would recommend.
SWaRFeGa
It all depends on your system. If it ain't powerful enough - then you can;t run as many leagues and data as perhaps you'd like
Brian Shanahan
Well I played a game with all leagues (original, no modifiactions) from 10.1 with a computer running the following specs: Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6002) Service Pack 2 (6002.vistasp2_gdr.091208-0542) BIOS: Default System BIOS Processor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz Memory: 2814MB RAM Page File: 862MB used, 4976MB available DirectX Version: DirectX 11 Chip type: GeForce 7050 / nForce 610i DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC. However the game was very slow. It took me 1 day 21 hrs to coomplete a season IIRC. Ok that isn't much slower than normal, but usually I'm on the web half the time I'm playing (like now:rolleyes:), but in that game it was about 97% game 3% web time wise.
