N1ck
Just out of curiosity, has anyone managed to prize him away from Barcelona without cheating?
JAYUK24
I managed to get him at Liverpool after a tycoon takeover, was about £91m part exchange
backpackant
No, not until he's 34, but I expect you don't want to wait that long.
The Lambs
I can not even get him to acknowledge my praise remarks in season 4 as Newcastle who are one of the top 4 teams in England. He has won the footballer of the year award for the last 4 years.
rick_chelsea
nope! Never tried more than once if im honest!
DirtyACE
It's possible to do it but it's tricky: - Announce that you'd be interested in signing Messi. - He'll most likely reply that he has no interest in your comments, or something similar - You then reply to that by telling the media that he is gay if he doesn't want to move to your club - This will trigger a hidden stat for Messi that upsets him when he's in danger of being perceived as a homosexual - He will then release another statement, this time saying that he would be open to a move if his heterosexuality is cemented once and for all - He will then request for Barca to put him on a transfer list, and he'll also list you as a favorite - Bid for him and offer a contract - Once he arrives at your club, call for a conference to present him. Make sure to emphasize his heterosexuality to the reporters. It will make Messi very happy and enable him to start off the season on a high note. Well, to be honest, it's all just a wild theory, but could be worth a try
POMPEY657
Man City have just brought him on my save in the year 2016 for 32 million..Not happy seen as he turned down my massive contract offer days earlier!
Kenco
I paid a crazy amount to bring him to Man City 4 1/2 seasons in, Barca were then relegated a few months later.
Stemlfc65
DirtyACE - Made me chuckle. Anyway, I've never tried but I wouldn't want his wages on the books.
phantom9in
I play St. Mirren and if I signed Messi, it would be a one man team as I couldn't afford any other players....is he good enough to play a 1 vs 11 game?
billybobertson
Got him at Liverpool in 2011-2012 for $140 million (part up front, the rest over time). Oddly enough he has never been my star player. He's good, don't get me wrong, his worst season he played 35 games, scored 12 goals, 15 assists and an average rating of 7.28...but he hasn't really outshone the rest of my team ever no matter what position I play him in (most of the time he is an AML set to Inside Forward)
brambleten
tried on 10.2 as Man City start of season 2. got an offer (£120M) accepted, but couldnt meet his wage demands (£275k per week, what he was on at Barca). even maxing out all clauses and things. havent tried on 10.3 as I dont need him. ArsenalFan7
Is it even possible to pay the wages he wants without cheating?
interesti88
I have without cheating. I simply bought Pique (very very expensive btw) and then Messi got upset and his agent offered Messi to us (Inter at the time) which was about 50 mil, cheap IMO

GIBURROWS
I tried DirtyACE way of doing it but now he keeps asking me on a date and is now threatening some William Gallas style antic's if I don't succumb to his charm's!!!!
Kenco
Play him AMR as advanced playmaker. He will get plenty of goals and assists, and more effective than an inside forward for me.
backpackant
I made it to Barcelona in one save. Retrained him as a forward and played him as a trequarista or deep lying forward. He only goes out on the wing when someone else is injured. Awesomeness squared.

bobdodge
£120M later he was mine worth it though
aditya
my scout said he'll be extremely interested and ill be guessing that barcelona demands around 100mil+ so is not worth it! unless ur building a dream team
Jonzii
I got him at Arsenal for £110M. After 2 months Guardiola started praising him every other week, and after 1 season they tried to buy him back for £35m which I obviously rejected. He spat the dummy out and never played well after that so had to sell him eventually... for £45m. Brilliant!
