aLlamaWithARifle
Is there any specific way of dealing with tall target men like strikers when playing against one? My team is very good aerially but that doesn't stop one of my centre backs getting beaten in the air once or twice in a game and then leaking the odd goal from someone with a good heading stat. So is there really a good way of dealing with them or do you just have to try and completely cut off supply to them, but even then that doesn't stop the odd ball or two slipping by
cezar.sl
I usually use a high defensive line (tall strikers are usually slow) and play off-side. That also stops them from flicking the ball on.
antonyhoggan
Cut off supply to the target man. You could have your left/right backs set to a more defensive role. Or if you have your centre halves set to a more attacking role (like a Libero) you could change their mentality to more defensive. But it depends on the calibre of the opposition as well! Techstep
Both of what was said previously. Also, you can try to tell your Centre Back to NEVER tight mark the tall striker, so he's in a better posistion to deal with any flick ons, or tackle him once the ball is on the ground. mg539
or conversely if you have a CB who's very good in the air, set them to always tightly mark the tall one, so he wins very few headers, and the ones he does will be under pressure, so your other CB can cover and deal with them easily enough.
