Inserting a face in FM2010 help for an idiot please....

HI FM’ers, I’d appreciate a little help here.

I’ve downloaded a picture, edited it in Paint.NET to a 132 X 180 image and saved it in the following as player.png: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\graphics

I’ve then created the below config.xml:

<record>

<!-- resource manager options -->

<!-- dont preload anything in this folder -->

<boolean id="preload" value="false"/>

<!-- turn off auto mapping -->

<boolean id="amap" value="false"/>

<!-- logo mappings -->

<!-- the following XML maps pictures inside this folder into other positions in the resource system, which allows this folder to be dropped into any place in the graphics folder and still have the game pick up the graphics files from the correct places -->

<list id="maps">

record from=player to=graphics/pictures/person/1394631345/portrait/>

</list>

</record>

I tick and un-tick as instructed and when I open either a new game or the previously saved one I get no change to the original silhouette image. What have I missed please?

Thanks

Paul

Thanks for the reply. Below is my file, fixed I believe as per your instructions. (I tried it with and without the "" to no avail)

Still not working, having ticked on and off the required boxes within the game.

<record>

<!-- resource manager options -->

<!-- dont preload anything in this folder -->

<boolean id="preload" value="false"/>

<!-- turn off auto mapping -->

<boolean id="amap" value="false"/>

<!-- logo mappings -->

<!-- the following XML maps pictures inside this folder into other positions

in the resource system, which allows this folder to be dropped into any place in the graphics folder and still have the game pick up the graphics files from the correct places -->

<list id="maps">

<record from="player" to="graphics/pictures/person/1394631340/portrait"/>

</list>

</record>
