Siddo
Just some help figuring out what is best. Ended my season in the league two play offs but sadly I wasn't good enough to get through. The team had originally been tipped for relegation so I can't complain but wish to do better next season. I'm basing the formation and player roles on how Germany were setup for the world cup but would appreciate any comments for improvements. The current tactic is as follows (playing FM09 so Rule of One) 4-4-1-1 (4 defenders, 4 Midfielders, 1 Attacking Midfielder, 1 Striker) Team Instructions Direct passing for players in the 'Defend' role, mixed for players in the 'Support' role, and short for players in the 'Attack' role Tight zonal marking for defenders and centre midfielders, loose zonal marking for wide midfielders, attacking midfielder and striker Creative freedom low for most players except wingers, attacking midfielder, and striker who have mid-high normal depending on attributes (flair, decisions, creativity) Free role for attacking midfielder Player Instructions Pos. Men. Role GK 5 Keeper (Defend) DL 7 Full back (Support) DC 6 Centre back (Defend) DC 6 Centre back (Defend) DR 7 Full back (Support) ML 10 Winger (Attack) MC 8 Defensive midfielder (Defend) MC 9 Box-to-box midfielder (Support) MR 10 Winger (Attack) AM 11 Attacking midfielder (Attack) ST 13 Target man (Support) Would you say this setup reflects what i'm trying to achieve? jaycar
I'd put the support CM to deep lying playmaker, or advanced playmaker, then you can get a nice double pivot system going. if you want a clear 4-2-3-1 in attack though. just make sure the wingers get forward.
