maztheplaya Posted September 7, 2010 Share Posted September 7, 2010 Creativity Experiment I wanna do an experiment which involves Creativity, I wanna see how much Creativity affects the progression of a team, goal scoring and performances. So far i came up with the following methodology: going to use a EPL team, one from the middle of the table, going to make 3 saved games, in each of these saved games the players of the team will have 1 Creativity, 10 Creativity, 20 Creativity , thinking also of making a saved game with 15 creativity and there default stats to see if having lower or higher creativity can really improve performances, i will be the manager of the team, i will use Go On Holiday, and will check the team's performances from month to month, will post screenshots in this thread. Any feedback regarding the methodology is welcome as well as ideas for improving the experiment cheers. November , December , January , February , March , April , May Season Finale Update I've chosen the team that i will be using for the experiment. The team is Tottenham, how i chosed Tottenham using Genie Scout for the team ratings: The team with highest rating the league is Chelsea with 79.60% and the team with the lowest rating is Burnley 69.45% and the average of these two numbers is 75.52 and Tottenham has the closest rating to this number. I also tried the average of all the teams rating and i got a low number ~69 that meant using Burnley , who would surely get relegated this being an inconvient because i used for the saved game 10.3 Patch database , loaded just the EPL with Small database to make things go a bit faster. Update Started the first season with Tottenham , default creativity for players to have a baseline. Update Finished a season with the default creativity for Tottenham. Update Started season with 1 creativity. Update Finished season with Creativity 1 and started season with Creativity 10 Update To make it easier, i will use abbreviations , CD = Creativity Default , C1 = Creativity 1 , C10=Creativity 10 , C15 = Creativity 15 and C20 = Creativity 20 Example: The team performed better in September CD than September C1 and C10 . June Matches Players Stats Awards/Achievements/Miscellaneous None yet The team did very well in the Friendly Cup , destroying River and comfortably winning final, some surprising losses with lower league teams but the friendly results didn't to affect much the players morale. In the League Cup Semi Final they were powerless to Chelsea. In the League with 2 wins against Birmingham and Wigam and 2 losses against Liverpool and Manchester, Tottenham remain in the 6th place. maztheplaya Posted September 8, 2010 Author Share Posted September 8, 2010 Season with Creativity 1 July Matches Players Stats League Table None Awards/Achievements/Miscellaneous None In comparison with the first month of the season with default creativity we see some results improving, still can't win against Lokeren, and conceding 3 goals in the Friendly cup. Crouch with 8 goals 3 assists and 3 man of the matches in just 6 games is a vast improvement over July with default creativity. Overall the ratings are better with 1 creativity. maztheplaya Posted September 8, 2010 Author Share Posted September 8, 2010 August Matches Players Stats League Table Awards/Achievements/Miscellaneous Luka Modric in the Team of the Week Beating Sevilla by 3 - 0 is an improvement over the month with default creativity, the results with Hull and Birmingham are almost the same with just one extra goal, losing to Chelsea the same but with an extra goal, in the League Tottenham faces Leicester with a more comfortable win, but losing away to Wigan. For the moment it seems lesser creativity means more teamwork, a good bunch of players in the Team of the Week and no Player of the Month, just a goal by Defoe in the Goal of the Month. In the league standing 4th , dropped a place since last month but still in a good position and advancing in the FA Cup 5th round. And undefeated in 13 games. Am improvement from GD January where they lost the League Cup semi final with Chelsea, and got knocked out from the FA Cup 4th round and also their league position improved as they wore 6th in GD January. An improvement to the CD season with 10 more goals scored and 9 less goals against and 4 places better than the media prediction and. So far lesser Creativity proved to be better. djosey Posted September 9, 2010 Share Posted September 9, 2010 No offense man, but though i like the idea, i think that the methodology is flawed. Only one season for each parameter really isn't enough, especially as creativity, being only one of many attributes and only important for attacking players, will very probably have a small effect, lower than the usual variations you see between seasons. You should do something like 10 times one season with creativity 1, 10 with creativity 10 and 10 with creativity 20. And if i were you i wouldn't bother about monthly updates, the important thing is the end of season indicators (number of points in the league, goals scored...), it would be much easier for you this way:) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
