ProZone Posted October 14, 2010 Share Posted October 14, 2010 I'd only say it might be sensible to use both if you are playing Mixed strategy. I don't think either would be prioritised in this case. I tend to use a targetman with a Contain, Defensive or Counter strategy and a playmaker with a Control or Attacking strategy. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Kawee Posted October 14, 2010 Share Posted October 14, 2010 I use both, and it can work very well, but you just have to set up your team accordingly. You can have a deep-lying playmaker orchestrates from the middle of the park, and have the deeplying striker creates chances from further up the pitch. This can work in a team like Arsenal, where's there's Cesc and RvP. If you want to create a creator-scorer partnership then a playmaker, and a poacher set to target, ball fed into space, could also work. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
