aldoaufc
I posted a spec up the other day but I have since been in touch with a mate who builds PC's and has come up with this (the main parts minus power supply, operating system which will be vista i think etc)... 1 x Mushkin 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666 9-9-9-24 Silverline - 996768 1 x Asus M4A78LT-M LE AMD 760G (Socket AM3) DDR3 PCI-Express Motherboard 1 x AMD Phenom II X2 Dual Core 555 3.2GHz Black Edition C3 (Socket AM3) Processor 1 x Samsung HD103SJ SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 3.5" Hard Drive Not sure on the graphics card as it is one he already has but says it works with FM no problem, so presuming the GPU is decent enough, how would this be looking to run FM in terms of leagues etc? fallacy
Hi All; Am going to buy a new PC in the next few weeks and one of the main aspects I think about is how FM will play on it. I basically want to have a feature game, running with all major leagues in Europe, as well as S America, as well as having leagues from Mexico, Chile, etc, Czech Republic, Scandanavian leagues so I have loads of players. I have been looking at a few PCs but am not too computer literate so am non too wise on the specs. would you be able to advise.....I have a couple of the below; http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/dell-studio-xps-8100-650-04144013-pdt.html Processor Intel® Core™ i5-650 Processor - 3.2 GHz - 2.5 GT/s DMI - 4 MB Smart Cache Operating System Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium RAM - 6 GB Graphics card ATI Radeon HD 5450 - 1GB memory Screen type None Hard drive 1 TB Optical disk drive DVD rewriter Memory card reader Yes USB 8 USB 2.0 ports Modem/Ethernet 10/100/1000 Ethernet http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/hp-pavilion-p6320uk-04144035-pdt.html Processor Intel® Core™ i5-650 Processor - 3.2 GHz - 4 MB L3 cache Operating System Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium RAM 6 GB DDR3 Graphics card ATI Radeon™ HD 5450 Screen type None Hard drive 1 TB SATA Optical disk drive DVD writer SATA DVD RAM and Double Layer supporting Memory card reader Yes USB 8 (2 in front) FireWire No http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/hp-pavilion-slimline-s5565uk-06318419-pdt.html Processor AMD Athlon™ II X4 processor 635 - 2.9 GHz - 2 GHz HT - 2 MB L2 Cache Operating System Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit RAM 4 GB DDR3 Graphics card NVIDIA® GeForce® G210 with PureVideo® HD technology up to 2303 MB total available graphics memory, with 512 MB dedicated Screen type None Hard drive 500 GB SATA 3G Hard Disk Drive (7200 rpm) Optical disk drive Blu-ray player & SuperMulti DVD burner with LightScribe Technology Memory card reader 6-in-1 memory card reader USB 6 USB 2.0 ports (2 in front) I will only be interested in the specs with regards to FM, I don't play any other games so it's just purely for FM. (Mobo) Cool, I usually only really run English and Scotland in full (not Blue Sq etc though), Spain's two divisions and Serie A. May load players from a couple of nations but nothing more as I tend to mainly stick to the British game. The decent sized hard drive is handy for my University work and music. For the full thing all together its going to cost £250 so it seems like a decent enough deal. Is it easy enough to upgrade processors in the future? Don't understand why you want a less powerfull proccy when a better is available. Processors are easy to upgrade but this generation (AM3) is going to be replaced by AM3+/AM4 soon. Sure, I see what you are saying. Its obviously not that I want a less powerful processor but just really gave the guy instructions to keep the cost as low as possible but good enough to do the stuff I want, which it will! It will not be getting used too much to be honest other than a small game of FM and some University work! Cheers for the advice tho!

Guest Andrew Bradley
Hello everbody, how should this run? Processor: Intel® Celeron® CPU 450 @ 2.20GHz 2.19GHz Memory (RAM) 2.00GB System type: 32-bit Operating System Graphics card i am unsure on but it seemed to work the match engine fine. Running the top 5 English leagues with a medium data base im only getting 1 star and processing seems to take a long time on international days especially. Another point i bought it through steam and i was wondering if that will make any difference to the speed compared to buying it on on a disc? Thanks for your time . I'm just worried that there might be more of a chance that FM won't work right, since I know a lot of people complained about Vista and their games. Guest
I need a new PC. What kind of system would you need to run at max settings (all leauges and players), just out of interest. chris2403
depends on your budget but id go for a core i5 760, gigabyte p55m-ud2h and 4gb of corsair xms3 ddr3-1600 and mate that with a decent 500w psu to allow for a future gpu to be added. Guest
Budgetwise I suppose it would be a waste to spend anymore than £1,000 just to play FM for the next few years. So probably round that area. I don't need a monitor. I would be willing to go higher if it made a noticeable difference. I'm a bit out of touch with all the new pcs i5 and i7 stuff at the minute. I havent been paying attention for a few years so have no idea what to look out for when picking out a new pc. I'm using a 4 year old dual core 2.4 at the minute which is about dead. What about this one? http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/pavilion-elite-hpe-480uk-07677364-pdt.html
