ltfcstew
Due to Ilkeston Town going out of business, will the Blue Square Conference North have just 21 clubs in FM2011, will Ilkeston still in about or will they replace them with another? I'm currently thinking who to be and this would be a cracking challenge...
cpfcfm2009
I am always Bromley - love the challenge of getting them from blue square south into the football league. I guess if Ilkeston are out of business FM will replicate this - they do with things like points deductions.
StormenDK
It depends on when Ilkeston went out of business ... if before the start of the season, then it won't be in, though I think they will replace it with another team, as I don't think the game engine can really handle these situations well. If it happens after the start of the season, they will be in, but most likely in a very precarious financial situation.
englandmanager
vauxhall motors are a great challenge
Nobby_McDonald
If I remember rightly, Ilkeston went out of business before a ball was kicked. Therefore I would think they won't be in FM2011. Hopefully though the league will be set up so it reverts back to 22 clubs for the second season in the game.
m1234566778
Yeah I usually start in the BSN so hopefully they'll be taken out of the game. Looking forward to starting with Guiseley this year.
Ollyh
Well they weren't kicked out until a month into the season, so presumably they'll be in it?
fmsteve
I would have thought that they'd start with the full 22 teams, inlcuding them regardless just for continuity purposes. I figure it might be quite difficult to implement a shortened season and then a one-off extra promotion in the game
ltfcstew
Thanks all; good to see others also enjoying the non-league and not starting with Leeds or a larger club as the majority of my mates do! If the league does start with 21, hopefully it doesn't continue like that. I'm liking the idea of Gainsborough Trinity or Boreham Wood... any thoughts? private pyle
I will first play with Forest and then once I have done with them I will start a new game with Gainsborough.
m1234566778
Are you a trinity fan? How's Luke Beckett doing for you? Always tempted to start a Trinity save tbh.

Nobby_McDonald
Thanks all; good to see others also enjoying the non-league and not starting with Leeds or a larger club as the majority of my mates do! Is Curzon Ashton low enough? That's who I started with in FM2010.
m1234566778
Curzon best you can do Nobby? I went further down, AFC Emley.
jackripper
lowest league i have is BSN/S and took my local(well sort of) Newport County to league 1. I might dl even lower but nt sure yet
pelicanstuff
AFAIK data lock was around a month ago so it'll be touch and go as to whether it will be in, but I think probably yes.
Trents
I think that there was still a good week or so between their demise and the data lock so would like to think that they wouldn't be in the game but I'm pretty sure they will be in there due to the short notice. swirlypop69
Personally I think they will be in the BSN for the demo and the full game release. After the first patch though it will be interesting to see what SI choose to do. We'll find out soon enough their situation in the demo though won't we? I figured, they're near a dense enough area, gotta be able to leech some fans. I stopped playing somewhat through my first season in coca cola league 1 though, lost the mood!. Steve Draper
The Belgian club Mouscron went bust in the middle of last season and in the last data update they had been removed from the game, leaving the Belgian first division with 15 teams for the first season. At the end of the season the game promoted an extra team to fill up all the divisions to the correct number of teams, so I imagine the same will happen wrt Ilkeston. Whether there was time to implement it for the gold version or if it will be dealt with in a patch we'll have to wait and see.

Nobby_McDonald
Curzon best you can do Nobby?I went further down, AFC Emley. That's because I used Uncle Ron's level 8 English league download, which certainly at the time I started my save was far more stable than Super Bladesman's level 10 work.
