Elwood
Malouda really has transformed into one of the game's top wingers since Gus Hiddink took over at Chelsea towards the end of the 2008-09 season, and his form continued into Ancelotti's tenure. But what I noticed was his unique and effective role in real life, which I have struggled to emulate in the game even now. He starts on the left wing when the team doesn't have the ball, and does what every other left wingers do in defense, tracking the opponent right back to a reasonable degree. But once Chelsea wins the ball, his position changes to very narrow, playing almost centrally just off the striker or above the central midfielder, as you can see here http://www.uefa.com/newsfiles/ucl/2011/2002820_tl.pdf, http://www.uefa.com/newsfiles/ucl/2011/2002843_tl.pdf, and http://www.uefa.com/newsfiles/ucl/2011/2002859_tl.pdf. I've tried all of the wide play options, and Move Into Channels is probably the closest, but it's still too wide IMO. I think this can be done in the older FMs with a SArrow to the AMC position, but I don't know how to do it now. Does anyone have an idea?
