FM 2011 - Skin Header Help

Hello everybody, i'm doing my own skin based on Fm 2011 default skin and i've little problems with the header. Here is how it looks like now:

The questions are:

1) How i could align the tabs to the left of the screen (as shown by the arrow)?

2) How i could remove the black area between the header and the main panel? I've tried to edit this line in header.xml as in Fm 2010 but it doesn't work: <widget class="picture" id="pict" file="interface/titlebar/bar" height="171" rthr="68">

1. panels/tabs.xml

replace

<widget class="tab_strip" id="tree" auto_size="all" top_strip_inset="160" sub_strip_appearance="button/sub tabs" size="7">

with

<widget class="tab_strip" id="tree" auto_size="all" top_strip_inset="0" sub_strip_appearance="button/sub tabs" size="7">

2. resize the images in graphics/interface/titlebar/background (find them in base-widgets/graphics/interface/titlebar/background)

Fix for num.1 works, but the one for num.2 doesn't work

Judging by the image the height of your header is 148 px, 171 seems a bit too much maybe?

Yes 171 is the default header, i've changed it to 150, and now looks like the picture

You need to edit this line in the header.xml file:

<widget class="picture" id="pict" file="interface/titlebar/bar" height="104" rthr="68">

Changing the height value until the black line disapears.
