MJK
Here is sweeper tactic I used with Glasgow Rangers on my 2nd season: won 34 games, draw 4, lost 0. Goals scored 137, conceded 41. I also won the Champions league (1-0 against Juventus) and the league cup. I admit that I have a great squad (Guti, Hernan Crespo, Bojan, Fernando Llorente all free transfers) and winning the scottish title with Rangers is not much of an achievement. But still if you would like to try: FC FC FC AMC MC MC DMC DC DC SWP GK No fullbacks/wingers are used. All three strikers are center. Team instructions: attacking, normal, normal, yes, no, no, no. Player instructions: passing; GK + SWP + DC + DC + DMC direct, others team tackling: all team pressing: SWP + DC + DC + DMC no, others team (including goalie) pass to: all R/L/C set pieces (A): GK normal, SWP back, both DC forward, DMC back, others forward set pieces (D): GK normal, three CF forward, others back free role: all no forward runs: both MC, AMC and three CF yes, others no run with ball: both MC, AMC, left CF, right CF yes, others no hold up ball: middle CF yes, others no long shots: both MC and AMC yes, others no through balls: AMC and middle CF yes, others no cross ball: all no marking: GK none, SWP zonal, both DC man, DMC zonal, both MC zonal, AMC zonal, left CF none, middle CF zonal, right CF none Have fun! MJK
Damn, one more thing: If opponent has an aggressive approach (your scout tells you) use hard tackling.
MJK
I tried this tactic with Newcastle, and it did not work too well. I guess English Premiership is tougher league than Scottish Premierleague However, I tweaked this sweeper tactic: FC FC FC MC MC DMC DC DC DC SWP GK So, no AMC anymore. Instead three DC. With this tactic I managed to climb with Newcastle to 3rd position on my 1st season. Before I started using this tactic (I used the Sweeper AMC tactic before) I was 12th. So If you are playing in a tough league and are struggling, give this tactic a go: Instructions for the middle DC: passing: team, tackling: team, pressing: no, pass to: r/l/c, set pieces (a): back, set pieces (d): back, free role: no, forward runs: no, run with ball: no, hold up ball: no, long shots: no, through balls: no, cross ball: no, marking: zonal. If your opponent has three striker tactic, put middle DC also on man marking. Also changed instructions: all players has team passing (direct) GK: easy tackling, no pressing, marking zonal.
