dannyh Posted November 16, 2010 Share Posted November 16, 2010 How do i stop my defends from dropping too deep when the other team has the ball, I play a high defensive line, play offside, my central defenders are both set to central defender - defend, closing down - press more, but everytime the opposing AMC runs with the ball the two central defenders just back off to the edge of the 18 yard box before they close him down, by which time he has already shot and scored. What this will do is your Stopper will close down the attacker while the Cover will drop to the D-line.
