Fearthainn Posted December 2, 2010 Share Posted December 2, 2010 Great work Betis, thanks. Only played 5 games so far but I think it's the best tactic I've tried for FM2011. Love the attacking movement. I create at least 4 or 5 CCCs per match, against the opposition's 1 or 2. My left striker has really excelled, 6 goals in those 5 games. He's not very tall for a target man (1'85), but he is strong (14 strength and 16 stamina) and relatively quick for the Conference I guess (11 acc, 13 pace). Finishing 10, composure 10. So I guess you need to look for a balanced player for this position, not your typical poacher but not yout typical tall, clumsy target man either. moneyhero Posted December 3, 2010 Share Posted December 3, 2010 ok after half a season with this tactic im having very mixed results my striker is banging the goals in very consistantly but my wingers rarely seem to perform well, i find once u go behind even with the attacking offset its hard to comeback i remain the only team in the division to defeat (or even get a result) from wolfsburg, had some big wins including a 2-0 home win against bayern my results over 28 games with dortmund are pld 28 won 12 drawn 8 lost 8 whilst this is not currently working amazingly for me its the most consistant ive had a striker in any fm save since 09 i really like this but i prefer my grays 4-2-3-1 however ive discovered new tips...example i did not know you could have a striker as a target man running onto balls i am going to sit away now and try to create a tactic taking from this and my Grays 4-2-3-1 see if i can merge what i feel is the best from broth betis i will off course credit you massively for anything used from you again ive learnt from this so thanks mate Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Maybe you need more time for your players to adapt or have just been unlucky, I don't know, but I have tested a fair few tactics and this one is easily the best. And I am playing with Wrexham as you can see from my screenshot above. No the guy hasn't done anything special with OI, Match Preparation etc maybe that's why it works. KISS. I don't use OI and Match preparation is always set to defensive positioning and it's working brilliantly home and away. As I speak darrylv2 just posted Rotherham hammering Hearts, I know it's only one friendly game but Rotherham aren't powerhouses are they? To win 6-0 against Hearts the tactics must help somehow. Dl will pass the ball to ML and The ML will pass through ball to target man and the target man will cross to your right ST or he will shoot.
