Hard to Beat 4-5-1

Recommended Posts

I've been reading a lot of threads in here and at FM Britain and I've seen the Disruptive 4-5-1 thread but I just can't make my team play how I want them too. I've tried it playing as Newcastle and other teams but I just can't do it. Anyone got any ideas?

Here's the tactics incase you can't read the thread:

GK Steve Harper GK Defend

LB Jose Enrique FB Auto

DCl Fabricio Coloccini CB Cover

DCr Sol Campbell CB Stopper

RB Ryan Taylor FB Auto

DMC Chieck Tiote DMC Anchorman

MCl Kevin Nolan Attacking Playmaker Attack

MCr Joey Barton Central Midfielder Support

AML Hatem Ben Arfa Defensive Winger Attack

AMR Jonas Gutierrez Defensive Winger Attack

FC Andy Carroll Target Man Support

Very Rigid

Direct Passing

Disciplined C/F

Press More C/D

Harder Tackling

Man Marking

Float Crosses

Stick to Position

Ideally I want my team setup like Sam Allardyce's Bolton team; organised, hard to beat, the side that no-one wants to face, physical, never give up. That sort of attitude. I don't expect pretty football - just results.
