The Red Angel

So I was getting bored and thought, you know what, i'll go on an old football manager game and see how i do. So that is what i am doing. I am doing it with Manchester United.

The only country I am selecting is England, lowest league I am selecting is Blue Sq. Premier and database size is large.

I am starting as a 30 year old English, Maltese manager, with former International experience (easier that way).

It is on the 9.2.0 update.

I really enjoy football. Since a young age, I have adored such players as Steve Bull and Robbie Keane as I am a Wolves fan. In this generation I look up to the players such as Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo. It's just the biggest sport in the world, and there are too many words to describe it.

I have had many football manager games, I once had a Wolves manager game and then went on to Football Manager 2007, then 2008, then 2009, then 2010. It just a great game all round.

Anyway, welcome to my story, hope you enjoy it!

Community Shield

10/8/2008

We went to Wembley playing a Portsmouth side who played well all season and had a brilliant cup run to win the FA Cup. I had doubts for the game. No Arshavin as he got injured in the Tow Law game and Cristiano Ronaldo was injured.

After a tough game we came out winners with a 2-1 victory. Wayne Rooney grabbing both goals. We now play Pompey again in our next match for the first game of the season.

August Review

As the manager of a club, in your first month, you have to impess! Thats just what I tried to do.

You really have to do impress when your at the best team in the world.

Results

Premier League: vs Hull - W 3-1 - Palermo, Giggs Berbatov

Super Cup: vs Zenit - 0-0 (Lost on Penalties)

Featured Game: vs Zenit

-Starting XI- -Stats-

A very good start to the season. The pre-season lifted us off, and a brilliant 3-0 victory vs Pompey lifted the spirits. Arshavin was awesome in that game.

We then played Hull who again we played brilliantly again. We should of had 6-7 goals, which was the reason the fans were not happy. Giggs and Arshavin shined for me in this game

In the Zenit game there was a big blow, I was without Arshavin and Evra which forced me to play new signed Razvan Rat at left back. We fought well all game, with David James making great saves. However, the penos were disgraceful. 3 missed, from my key 3 strikers. Tell you something?

with Arshavin, Rooney, Berbatov, Ronaldo, Tevex and Palermo all avaliable.

'We Want Phelan,' fans protest outside Old Trafford this morning.

The English assistant manager of Manchester United is being mocked by a number of fans outside the huges Old Trafford.

After Manchester United's loss vs Cardiff City last week, Phelan said, 'We did not deserve to win, and it was good for us to lose,

hope it knocks some sense into 'em.'

Both fans, and players thought this was unacceptable from Phelan which is why Azzopardi may be recruiting a new assistant manager.

Rumours are that Sir Alex could come back to Manchester to help out the struggling English manager.

All will reveal itself in the next couple of days. Stay tuned in!

October Review

After a very poor month in September, we had to improve rapidly. What a way to start... vs Juventus

Phelan Goes

Mike Phelan has been sacked from his post as assistant manager at the club. After some bad comments after the game at Cardiff, players and fan were not happy. He was sacked on the 1st of October and was granted £2.7 million.

A much better month. The first few games were slightlyy edgy, but wins versus Porto then Chelsea were brilliant.

To cap it off we destroyed Boro 6-1.

In January, I'm looking to sell some dead wood and sign a new Striker.

A good month. I'm glad the boys stayed fit as we had 7 games in one month.

Pleased with them all. Ronaldo got his first few goals of the season which is good.

Bad thing is we HAVE to beat Juventus to qualify for Champions League.

Yet again, we have played really well.

Cristiano Ronaldo wins World Player of the Year

A good month. I am glad we have won some silverware, we deserved it.

It looks like Tevez is finding his form, which may save us some money

as we won't have to sign another striker.

Bring on selling the old, rubbish players haha.

I was starting to get slightly weary.

I have still not been offered a new contract yet. I know its mid-January but sometimes they offer you one around this time.

I know they expected us to get far in Europe and win the league but I still think I have done a decent job.

What if my managing career is going to end before it has even begun...

Finances

Overall the club made a great profit of £19.41m last month.

Overall a decent month. We should have won some games, such as the Pompey game as we were 1 up.

We could have easily destroyed Spurs with 6 or 7 goals but we hit the bar or post

I was disappointed to be knocked out the FA Cup aswell, we now have no chance of winning an English domestic cup this season.
