insai
Hi I was just wondering if FM11's savegames are intergrated within Steam's Cloud Computing setup. i.e. will i be able to have access to my savegames via steam cloud on a second PC that i just installed Steam on. Reason im asking is that I am currently away from home and therefore have no access to the desktop which i normally run FM11 on. Before i download FM11 onto this PC via steam, i would like to know if i can access my savegames off the original PC. If not are there any plans to have FM fully intergrated with this service For anyone not familiar with this or wanting to know more : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam_%28software%29#Steam_Cloud
scriba
No, and it can't be because "Steam cloud provisioning has expanded from 1 MB per user to 100 MB per user, per game." (here) so with Fm2011's save above 100mb there's no way Steam Cloud works with FM2011.
SI Staff Ter Posted January 20, 2011 SI Staff Share Posted January 20, 2011 I would think Steam Cloud is more suited to other types of game which track your progress and allow you to pick up where you left off and don't store massive amounts of data like Football Manager. Reffi
I use dropbox to back up my savegames once in a while - guess it could be used to transfer savegames as well.

I only use dropbox for my gamesaves. It's fantastic. I can continue my game on whatever system I am. Just download FM onto the system via Steam and continue from where you left off.
