FrazerBleedsLiverpoolRed
Bizarre question here; does good finishing abilty in defenders raise their suceptibilty to scoring own goals? I checked this out and have actually found a correlation, with my highest rated defender (for finishing) scoring the most! I know that composure and concentration play a massive part, but would finishing? At all?
Dar2000
I would think low attribtues in all the areas you mentioned would make them more likely to score own goals. If you look at most own goals by defenders irl, they are miskicked clearences or dodgy headers.
charlo116
I don't know, ask Popovic. [video=youtube;oP3jbpcCo2E]
cruyff14
Just look at Jamie Carragher's stats I guess. Considering he's scored more goals against Liverpool than any other striker in Premier league history. Hahaha
FrazerBleedsLiverpoolRed
Hey now, we all dream of a team of Carraghers... Wow top marks to Popovic, surely a goal of the season contender?
charlo116
Popovic has been retired for a couple of years now, that goal was a while ago.

tom_numbers
I don't know, ask Popovic. I take your Popovic, and raise you one Franck Queudrue; [video=youtube;-Gkm-DOfYcU] IIRC, he knocked in quite a few canny goals for us at the Boro.
aderow
I don't know, ask Popovic. [video=youtube;oP3jbpcCo2E] He definitely needs a boost in his flair for that one Just look at Jamie Carragher's stats I guess. Considering he's scored more goals against Liverpool than any other striker in Premier league history. Hahaha Carragher is a better finisher than torres imo... nyandoro
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ufd9ctShpHk The goal is not that spectacular but the circumstances are. It was Real's 1-0 winner on Bernabeu against Steaua. BTW, Nicolita is a midfielder. l.e.: Updated link with a better quality version.
Some Guy!
The great irony for Tony Popovic was his last match in Australian colours. He scored what should have been the winner, but having come off just before injury time his replacement, Michael Beauchamp scored an own goal in the final minutes to level it 1-1.
