Broloi
Hi. I wanted to know if it is possible to create a league with two seasons a year? Like, a season running from Marts to June and then a season running from August to November in the same year. I need it to create the Danish league system
fonzie_89
not sure if you can do that ut you could do a league with 4 rounds instead of two, like the scottish prem?
Broloi
Well, that would be an option . But, teams can't be promoted/relegated at the end of each season then?
dinamo_zagreb
I dont think that Denmark uses double season in a year so I dont see why would you make such a format. By the way, it is possible to make such a league.
Broloi
Well.. The four highest leagues run from July to May, but the 5th-11th leagues use a two seasons a year model .
dinamo_zagreb
Hm. Weird.
Broloi
One idea might be to create two leagues at the same level and then find a way to move all the teams back and forth from the two leagues?
Broloi
Any other ideas?
psycho1970
Any other ideas? Why not use secondary divisions as the second season, Start/end date of first would be July-December and secondary Division January-May
dinamo_zagreb
One idea might be to create two leagues at the same level and then find a way to move all the teams back and forth from the two leagues? It is impossible. Why not use secondary divisions as the second season, Start/end date of first would be July-December and secondary Division January-May It can say that this would not work too. Nick134
It can say that this would not work too. How, that's definitely possible? This is exactly what the new feature is for I think?
Ruthless666
Use advanced editor rules and create yourself a fall-spring league system. (called Apertura-Clausura and very common in Latin American countries). Search Apertura Clausura in this forum and you going to find many threads about it. Broloi
So, I looked at the fall-spring system. It still doesn't solve my main problem. I need two seasons a year, which means the following: - Two champions a year - Promotion/relegation two times a year And I don't see the fall-spring system as the right system. I'm pretty sure you can't do this.
Broloi
I'm moving towards the same conclusion. I guess I'll just have to make the seasons longer and each time will play each other 4 times instead of 2.
