carl stanny Posted May 28, 2011 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Hi All, Here is my standard 442 counter tactic used with Arsenal and resulted in a quadruple winning first season! I won the league cup, FA cup, premier league and champions league. I was tweeking it for most of the season until I was happy with it, I think it is now worth releaseing so others can try. Maybe somebody can try with a lower rated team and let me know how you get on. Anyway onto the tactic. It is a standard 442 set as counter / rigid altough I have pushed up the defensive line as they were sitting too deep for me. It has been created using the tactic creater, no OI used, team blend on average until all full then move down to low. Teamtalks were handled by my assistant manager. Player roles are as follows: GK = Defend RB = Fullback, Auto DCR = Central defender, Defend (Must be your best header) DCL = Central defender, Stopper LB = Fullback, Auto MR = Winger, Attack. Set to cut inside and run with the ball, crossing set to rarely. MCR = Ball winning midfielder, Support MCL = Deep lying playmaker, Support ML = Winger, Attack. Set to run with ball often and cross often. STR = Trequartisa, Attack STL = Poacher, Attack. (Must be fast like Walcott is and will get plenty of goals) I would say all players need good pace and acceleration but main ones are wingers and left striker. Also good passing helps as lots of counter attacks with direct balls played quickly. Rooney_08 Posted May 30, 2011 Share Posted May 30, 2011 finished my 1st season with qpr : finished 4th lost play off semi final...scored 87 conc 48 with no signings at all...the tactic plays very well i had shocking start to season and at one stage i was gonna can it best result was a 0-4 away win vs burnley ....very good tactic it will work better with a better team ,well done for the tactic ...now im off to work on my 4-4-2 beast ) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

My start was not good but results have picked up. I am 7th only 3 points off 4th in November. I only signed 3 players two on free transfer and one loan player. I know you will say now it's easy with man utd but try with... but never the less, I use berbatov as trequartista, the only role he is excellent at, and he is incredible. I have Hernandez as Poacher, also excellent rolefor fim. Also, Nani is cut inside and valencia pure winger. Then Fletcher and giggs in middle. This is reallly balanced and extremlly detailed tactic. I have also been thinking about creating a 4 -2 -3 1 in this way (TC). MAybe you have some ideas (for separete thread ofcourse)? I also got to the league cup final which I lost 3-1 to Chelsea. I also managed to get to the fa cup final but lost to Chelsea again but only 1-0. Good first season overall as I only signed 3 players. Ended up finishing 5th and qualifying for the Europa League, which was way above my expectations. Got to the 4th round of the League Cup, which was disappointing. However, got to the semis of the FA Cup and was unfortunate to lose 3-2 to Arsenal on the day. Here are my two best results, memorable wins at Anfield and Old Trafford. Signed quite a few players Javier Pinola, Alan Hutton, Hatem Ben Arfa, Stephane Sessegnon, Owen Hargreaves, Danny, Salomon Kalou and Jo. Obviously Jermaine Jones, Roque Santa Cruz and Mame Diouf went back to their clubs so needed to freshen up the squad. Board gave me £25m for European Qualification so spent it wisely on those 8 players, and only let Samba and Hoilett go. Two good players, but combined I got £15m for the pair. BAD-RELIGION Posted June 3, 2011 Share Posted June 3, 2011 Is not a bad tactic, i was 2nd in Premier League, only 1 point being Man City, won the FA Cup, but in CL i lost with Real Madrid, but my keeper helped, hes rating was 3.8 and i lost 3-0, the second leg i won 1-0 but was not enough, btw, i was Arsenal and the year was 2015. carl stanny Posted June 5, 2011 Author Share Posted June 5, 2011 I have now updated the tactic by moving up the pressing on all defenders and have just finished my second season with Blackburn. I managed to finish 3rd in the premier league so will be playing champions league football next year. I also managed to win the league cup so overall a very good season. It was also my first season in the Europa league and managed to reach the semi final but lost 4-3 over two legs vs Napoli. I won my group which included Valencia who I beat 4-0 at home then beat them again 8-2 in the knockout stages so very good first season in europe. I have attached some pictures below of the league and some of my fixtures. I managed to win the premier league scoring the highest ever goals and beat Arsenal 6-1 to win the FA Cup!
