SI Staff Marc Vaughan Posted June 6, 2011 SI Staff Share Posted June 6, 2011 I thought this was ipad update,i can't seem to see much difference on the iphone version The game is released as a 'universal' product - that is its one binary which intelligently determines which device its running on and changes its resolution and operation accordingly. This means while there are some differences between the versions (mainly UI related although minor iPad only features like the slightly enhanced coach reports do exist) as they share a common codebase. This approach is what allows the immensely huge handheld coder team* to support three distinct platforms (ie. iPad, iPhone/iTouch and PSP) without going even more insane than we already are. *ie. myself and Rich

rafafloripa
By the way, I really appreciate the ability to view player positions during match That change was totally worth the update! Alas, why can't we have extended coach reports in the iPhone?
SI Staff Marc Vaughan Posted June 7, 2011 SI Staff Share Posted June 7, 2011 By the way, I really appreciate the ability to view player positions during match That change was totally worth the update! Cool - glad to hear it. Alas, why can't we have extended coach reports in the iPhone? I'll look at rearranging the screen to sneak them in at some point in the future - was concerned about the smaller text on the screen size but lets see ... (its not a 'huge' extension to them tbh ... more will come in the future)
enthon
Have spotted some of the special attributes recently for the first time on the Ipad version! Is it just restricted to comments on free kick and set piece abitilities? By the way - good update with no major issues so far. Thank you for getting us the name drag and move option back. To use just the position button was too much for the size of my fingers! Cheers Oliver
SI Staff Marc Vaughan Posted June 8, 2011 SI Staff Share Posted June 8, 2011 Is it just restricted to comments on free kick and set piece abitilities? There are a few more in there - but yeah I did say its only a fairly 'minor' thing, but something I'll be building on at some point ...
