Ninian Park 1910 - 2009
clubs who hire big name managers often spend more than any other time in their past to increase their chances of promotion. leicester never really spent huge, enter sven , and the money they have been using piles up. forest - enter steve mclaren and they are able to spend a decent amount so my question is, in my game im now a "world class manager" but my beloved cardiff city have somehow ended up in the blue square premier, they just signed a league two player who in all fairness is a joke. and they havent spent a penny in 3 years in that league, and they have got poor finances. if i apply for the job and get the job, as i am a big manager, will it do the following : A) bring the fans back B) will i be given more finances than a different manager to bring success and keep me happy C) will i be able to attract bigger players to the club because of who i am. D) will the players be more motivated to play for me any help will be great
brightonrock
A) possibly B) no, the club's finances are what they are C) yes, your reputation does attract better players D) almost certainly as your reputation will gain you respect from them. Do Cardiff have a manager at the moment or is the position vacant? If they already have a manager, applying for jobs like that can be difficult (or certainly was on previous games). I play career games myself and don't often move clubs, but when I do it is usually by applying for an open position.

Unknown Hacker
It was my understanding that you do get an increase in your budgets. Although this can be a poisoned chalice because your expectations are higher too.
