Dune297
Season 7 Review Team Media Prediction - 16th Final Position - 14th Board Takeover - No Expectations - Attempt to Avoid Relegation Stadium Construction - No Season's Best Players Helge Sandvik - 5 clean sheets this year, going down, still has been very good. Alexander Stølås - 3 goals and 8 assists. Has done well this season as usual. Ragnar Langåker (YP9) - 5 goals and 1 assist for this outstanding midfielder. I can't wait to see him next year. Oddbjørn Skartun - Always finds a way to tap them in. 6 goals and 1 assist. Youth Erik Karlsrud (YP2) - Was pretty good this year. 32 appearances, 1 assist. Trond Misje (YP3) - Played him a lot this year, wasn't very good. 5 goals and 3 assists. Maybe I'll go back to Kenneth Ness (YP4) next year. Kenneth Ness (YP4) - Didn't use him much again. Got two assists. Morten Krohn Haaland (YP5) - A small amount of appearances. Wasn't very good though. Geir Stenerson (YP8) - Didn't play this year. Looks like his potential is quickly decreasing. Might be gone soon. Ragnar Langåker (YP9) - Outstanding this season. 5 goals and 1 assist for the upcoming star. Ronny Lie (YP11) - 2 stars, might be out of a contract soon. Steffen Strøm (YP12) - Potential still 2.5 stars. Played him a few times and he was decent. Magnus Pilskog (YP13) - A few sub appearances. Wasn't great by any means. Håvard Steffensen (YP14) - Haven't played him this year. Potential is still 3 stars, looks like he'll be a decent backup. Could still use a defender now that Høiland was sold by the board. Hoping I actually get someone decent this year.

Hope he'll do more of the same. Alexander Stølås - Great as usual. Can't wait to see what he'll cook up this season. Ragnar Langåker (YP9) - Did very well last year. Looks like his potential is surpassing Kenneth Ness (YP4). Might turn into a great midfielder for us. Oddbjørn Skartun - An amazing goalscorer. Always gets on the rebound. Youth Prospects - Season 8 Got some pretty good prospects this year I'm happy to say. One MR, one ML, and one DR. I don't use MR and ML so I'll probably play them as an AMR/AML or an MC. Jørgen Steen (YP15) (MR/L) - Report - If I can retrain him to be an AMR/L, I can see him do great things for the club. With 3 star potential he looks like he'll be a pretty good force. Christian Hansen (YP16) (DR) - Report - Chris Hansen from Dateline NBC anyone? Anyway, he looks like he'll be somebody I can put to use within 1-2 seasons. Fast, good heading, good passing. Looks like he'll progress to be a very interesting player considering he has 3 star potential. Eirik Shala (YP17) (M/AML) - Report - 2.5 star potential. Looks like he'll be a decent force for my team. Decent stats, hope to see something out of him in a few years if his potential doesn't drop. Dune297
It's getting impossible. I can't win. 4 matches, 4 losses. Dune297
The first round of the Euro Cup went well. The first leg saw Stølås convert an amazing freekick from far out, leaving us with a 1-0 lead at home. The second match had me on the edge of my seat. They had a few chances in the 6 yard box but my goalkeeper played stupendously. As soon as I saw Stølås touch the ball in the 60th minute, I knew we would win. He proceeded to blast the ball into the net from close range, and nobody else but Ragnar Langåker (YP9) was there late on to give us the 3-0 lead over the 2 legs. Dune297
Two of the worst performances saw us out of the Euro Cup. Trond Misje (YP3) couldn't finish from a meter away. We should have been up 10-0 in the second leg, instead we were kicking the ball towards the corner instead of at the goal. Did I mention Trond Misje (YP3) is out for 7-8 months with a broken leg? He scored 4 goals. Ragnar Langåker (YP9) - Another decent season. 3 goals and 1 assist for him including a goal in the Euro Cup. Oddbjørn Skartun - Tapping them in once again. Very good season with 3 goals and 4 assists. Youth Erik Karlsrud (YP2) - Decent season for him, scored another goal. Trond Misje (YP3) - There's one word to describe him. Horrible. He's played 18 matches for the club and didn't score a goal as a striker. Four assists though. Kenneth Ness (YP4) - Played a few more matches than Trond Misje (YP3) and scored 4 goals. Good at the end of the season. Morten Krohn Haaland (YP5) - Decent season. Didn't really watch him though. Ragnar Langåker (YP9) - Did well again, 3 goals 1 assist. Can't say he was outstanding though. Steffen Strøm (YP12) - Pretty bad, only one assist for the man. Magnus Pilskog (YP13) - Got his first goal and what a goal it was. 3 goals and 1 assist for him. Håvard Steffensen (YP14) - Haven't played him this year. Potential is 4 stars. Jørgen Steen (YP15) - Haven't played him this year. Potential is 3.5 stars. Eirik Shala (YP17) - Haven't played him this year. Potential is 3 stars. Hoping I get a central defender this year. Sadly, senior goalie Helge Sandvik has left after declining to sign a contract. Dune297
Another large international update incoming! The World Cup 2018 is on the menu! Group Stage Report Our nation Norway happened to qualify. Going to have to go for them, but it seems they are already handed a challenge with Russia, Chile, and Senegal all in Norway's group. Group B looks exceedingly challenging with Germany, Holland, and Ecuador all in it. Group C is another hard one with Brazil, South Korea, Mexico, and Belgium all competing for the top two spots. Group D seemed to be the English-speaking group with Australia, England, and USA all together. Group E and H look a bit challenging as well, but nothing beats Group B. Looks like it'll be another fun World Cup with France hoping to grab their second World Cup in a row. Group A Matches Russia 0-0 Senegal Chile 0-0 Norway Senegal 2-1 Chile Norway 2-2 Russia Russia 3-1 Chile Senegal 3-0 Norway The group was close until the final two matches. Senegal easily knocked Norway out of the race while in the process winning the group and Russia blew Chile out with a bang as the hosts made it to the next round. Group A Group B Matches Germany 2-1 Ecuador Iran 2-3 Holland Ecuador 0-0 Iran Holland 0-1 Germany Ecuador 1-6 Holland Germany 4-0 Surprisingly, Iran put up a good fight and finished third ahead of Ecuador. The two group favorites, Holland and Germany, both easily qualified. In the third Holland match against Ecuador, the Holland manager decided to play young regen Klaas Van Dijk. The manager was not disappointed, as young Klaas knocked home four goals, including an amazing run where he skinned a defender and rounded the goalie to send the ball home. Group B Group C Matches Belgium 4-2 South Korea Brazil 1-1 Mexico Mexico 0-3 Belgium South Korea 0-2 Brazil Belgium 0-2 Brazil South Korea 0-3 Mexico Good performances by Brazil and Belgium saw them both through. Mexico did well, but couldn't grab that second place spot. Group C Group D Matches England 1-1 Uruguay USA 0-1 Australia Uruguay 2-1 USA Australia 1-3 England England 3-0 USA Uruguay 1-1 Australia England did well to win the group while Uruguay barely took the second place spot over a powerful Australian team. Group D Group E Matches Ireland 3-3 Ivory Coast Argentina 1-1 Croatia Argentina 3-1 Ivory Coast Croatia 1-0 Ireland Ireland 1-5 Argentina Ivory Coast 1-2 Croatia Croatia and Argentina both did well. Both finished with 7 points, drawing each other. Allende, the young Argentinean regen I mentioned in an earlier post, also got his first international goal against Ivory Coast! Group E Group F Matches Saudi Arabia 0-2 Spain Scotland 0-0 Nigeria Spain 2-0 Nigeria Scotland 5-1 Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia 0-2 Nigeria Spain 0-0 Scotland Scotland barely edged second place behind Spain because of a brilliant draw with the Spanish team. Group F Group G Matches Turkey 0-0 Honduras Italy 2-2 Mali Honduras 0-2 Italy Mali 4-1 Turkey Italy 1-1 Turkey Mali 2-1 Honduras Mali surprised both fans and critics by winning the group over Italy. Italy finished second with 5 points as Africa's Mali finished with 7 points. Group G Group H Matches Japan 2-1 Switzerland Ghana 0-2 France Switzerland 3-0 Ghana France 4-0 Japan Japan 2-2 Ghana Switzerland 1-2 France France wins the final group as Japan edges past Switzerland to finish second. Ghana is left to bite the dust after getting a single point in the final group. Group H Teams in the Second Round. Senegal Germany Brazil England Scotland Spain Japan France Holland Russia Uruguay Belgium Argentina Croatia Mali Italy Some good groups! The knockout rounds should be fun. Dune297
How is Galatasaray doing? Good luck in bouncing back by the way The farthest they've been in Europe is the first knockout round of the Champions League. They've seemed to steadily make it to the knockout round of the Euro Cup nearly every year. They've won the Turkish Premier Division twice and finished runner-up this past year. Seems as if they have two very good regens, a Spanish left midfielder by the name of Xavier and a Norweigan striker by the name of Øyvind Helland. Thanks for the good luck!
