A decent pre-season with the only major blip being the Ipswich result. We could an should of scored more against Fleetwood but with a mixed team I was quite happy with the win. Game of pre-season was the Arsenal game by a mile. All the lads were up for it and they put up one hell of a fight to come away with a draw.

Manager Comments

Quite happy with the way August went. We started off sluggishly and a bit too wasteful infront of goal for my liking but a slight tweak in tactics for game number 3 saw us take 3 points at Chesterfield which was a brilliant result. The Huddersfield game was absolutely brilliant although we lost. The fight the team displayed after being battered in the first half really fills me with confidence for the rest of the season. We were unlucky against Burnley in the cup but in all honesty I didn't mind the loss as we can now concentrate on the League and the JPT. Another gritty performance saw us grind out an excellent 1-0 win at FC Franchise before we scraped past Oldham on penalties. Given the relationship between the two clubs, this result was perhaps the most satisfying of the month.

League Table

No league table as I'm at the end of September in game. Will post one in the September update.

I've given it to John Welsh for this month. He has been solid in midfield.

Fantastic month for us in September. Unbeaten and the only slip ups coming against Sheffield United and Exeter. I was very happy to draw at Sheffield United considering I had expected to lose before the game. I was disappointed with the Exeter result. Hopefully we will bounce back in our next game.

David Buchanan for me this month. He's been absolutely brilliant at left back and has even managed to chip in with some goals.

Manager Comments

An indifferent month really. We started off the month with a thriller at Leyton Orient which we unfortunately lost. I felt that we atleast deserved a point from the game but I guess that's football. The game against Morecambe was a walk over and the lads simply dominated the entire game. Another good performance followed against Preston as we managed to grab the win. I was really happy with the result given that Preston have been the team to beat. The next two games were disappointing though. Enoch saved us at Walsall with a last minute goal and Hartlepool just outplayed us. We ended the month with a good game against Scunthorpe which we could of won. A point is better than none I guess.

This month it's Enoch Showunmi. Without Showunmi's goals we would be nowhere near the position we are in. He saved us at Walsall and scored the goal to beat Preston.

Manager Comments

An excellent month for us. There was only one slip up in the month which came away at Colchester, where we were outplayed. The rest of the month we were excellent with Enoch Showunmi and Scott Wootton on top form.

I could of easily given the award to Enoch Showunmi again as he's been brilliant again but I felt that Scott Wootton's performances deserved some recognition. I'm definitely going to try and get Scott if Man Utd don't extend his deal in the summer.

Manager Comments

Another good month for us. We started the month off with an absolutely brilliant win away at Sheffield United in the cup to put us through to the Northern Fianl against Crewe. I really think we stand a good chance of winning the Johnstone Paint Trophy this year. We followed that up with two hard working draws. We were down to 9 men at the end of the Notts County game so I'm happy we managed to hold on to get a point. 3 good wins followed but in the last game of the month Zoum Bakayogo got himself sent off and cost us atleast a point at Bournemouth. Disappointing.

League Table

Tranmere Player of the Month

This month it's Martin Devaney. His runs down the wing and crosses have become an integral part of our attacking option and he is leading the way on assists.
