dam just 2 points for the entire season, that sucks, great work on the updates, how many players are still left at their original club, I know Billen is.

The players still at their original clubs are:

James Knowles - Aberdeen

Bob Mcbob - Celtic

Mark Webber - Celtic

Arthur White - Falkirk

Andrew Billen - Hibernian

Haowan - Rangers

Michael Schumacher - Rangers

Race 1 - August

There was yet another transfer for Mikael Schøler as Schalke paid £7.25m for his services and I know he’ll be delighted to have returned to a playable league and more importantly a league that will allow him to compete for the championship.

Yes! My prayers have been heard! Thank you ooh mighty FM-God  Whoopy could you post a screenie of my history? I want to see the transfers and values of it :)

I have an idea for this sign - up.

What about changing the drivers teams ? You know what i mean, Changing the two players who make up the constructors points. Like in formula 1 where drivers can and do change teams. I bet this will result in a bit more interest in the constructors. You can just randomise the drivers ;)

I had thought about doing this when I started it up but I wasn't sure how to go about it, irl the top teams ie Mclaren and Ferrari go for the top drivers while the bottom teams obviously get the not so good drivers and I wasn't sure how to reflect this in the sign-up.

But if people are happy for me to just randomise the teams I can do that or if anyone has any thoughts on the subject let me know and obviously it won't come into effect for this season but we can get it sorted for next season.

Player profiles on the way.....

Race 2 - September

The race started with a debut and what an exciting debut it was for Mikael Schøler, the young Dane looked suspiciously offside but he played to the whistle and within 10 minutes of his Schalke career beginning he had a goal. There were no more goals for Schøler but his side managed a 3-4 win courtesy of a 90th minute penalty. James Knowles and Andrew Billen both played in victories for their teams and Haowan scored from close range as Rangers won 2-0 against Dundee Utd. Jack Smithston opened the scoring against Man City and Mat Frith also played in a game that ended 2-2, Nicky scored a wonderful chip for Leeds as they lost 1-2 to Preston who went top of the table. Mark Cator played as Southampton lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace and Moony played in a 0-0 draw for Blackpool. He may not have been good enough for PSV but Loic Flamilson is fast proving he is good enough for Everton, on Sunday, his headed goal in the 80th minute gained his side the 3 points against Aston Villa and put them second in the table, only behind Chelsea on goal difference. Bob Mcbob, Padraig O’Halloran and Mark Webber all played but none of them scored in a 0-2 win. On Monday Arthur White played in a 1-1 draw at Hearts.

Mikael Schøler made his international debut during the break as he played in a 2-0 loss in Finland. Moony on the other hand had business to attend to in the JPT and he scored after 2 minutes to help send Blackpool through 2-1.

Back to action in the Premiership and just as Loic Flamilson looked to be finding some of his old self he cashed into the tyre wall during a 1-2 win over Fulham ending his race and keeping him out for up to a month. Jack Smithston, Mat Frith and Lewis Hamilton all played with Hamilton getting booked. Mark Cator grabbed 3 points for Southampton as he picked up a brace in a 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forrest. Moony scored from close range as Blackpool won 3-0, Quick Nick played in a 1-0 win for Werder Bremen. James Knowles and Arthur White both played in wins for their teams while Andrew Billen played in a 2-2 draw and then it was time for the first old firm derby of the season. Bob Mcbob and Haowan were the only two out of a possible 5 drivers who featured and the highlight for them was an assist for Mcbob as Celtic ran out 3-0 winners. On Sunday Nicky played in a 2-1 loss against Sunderland before Mikael Schøler suffered some terrible luck, just as with Flamilson the youngster was just finding his feet at his new club and the tyre wall claimed another victim putting the Danish international out for 2 weeks. Being the first driver to move to a really big club it’s hard to predict how Fuzzy Lightning is going to do this season, but one thing is for sure, when you get given your chance at Barcelona you have to take it. And take it Fuzzy did as he scored from a tight angle on his first start at Camp Nou to open the scoring for his team and set them on their way to a 2-0 win over Zaragoza. Marky Mark headed Benfica to 3-0 in front just before the 20 minute mark as they went on to record an easy 5-0 win.

On Tuesday Mark Cator played as Southampton recorded a 3-5 win over Cardiff and went 2nd in the table, unfortunately Cator didn’t score. The Champions League also got up and running Tuesday with Arthur White playing in a 0-3 loss to Chelsea. On Wednesday Mark Webber and Padriag O’Halloran were again absent from the Celtic team leaving only Bob Mcbob to play. However this game will be one he will want to forget and quickly as Celtic lost 7-2 to Stuttgart. Fuzzy Lightning did enough at the weekend to earn himself another spot in the starting 11 and he proved he deserved to be there 5 minutes before half time, a long period of passing from Barcelona allowed Fuzzy the space he needed to score and they went on to win 3-0. On Thursday Andrew Billen played in a 0-0 draw with Anderlecht and Haowan came off the bench in a 2-0 win over Sion.

On Saturday Fulham looked set to draw 2-2 with Bolton until Lewis Hamilton supplied a great pass that allowed Jack Smithston to score after 71 minutes, five minutes later Smithston returned the favour as his pass found Hamilton who finished over the keeper to claim his first goal for the club. Mark Cator played as Southampton beat Swansea 3-0 and Moony played in a 3-3 draw with Southend. In Scotland Arthur White scored the final goal in a 3-1 win over Motherwell and then James Knowles showed his quality as first a headed goal and then a nice volley got Aberdeen back on level terms away at Morton, Dong Fangzhuo then scored a winner for Aberdeen just 4 minutes from time. Brendan Petersen started this race from the pit lane and it looks like it’s going to be a tough job to catch up, he made his return to the Sunderland team and was booked in a 1-3 loss to Birmingham, Nicky played in a 1-1 draw with Portsmouth. Marky Mark played for Benfica as they won 0-2 and then in Scotland Haowan rounded the keeper and scored after 12 minutes to put Rangers 1-0 up against Hibernian, Andrew Billen played in the 2-2 draw. Bob Mcbob scored at the second time of asking to put Celtic 0-2 up against Hearts just before half time, Hearts fought back and levelled things up before Mcbob pulled out a good cross to allow an easy finish for Mark Webber to give Celtic the lead, once again Hearts equalised and it ended 3-3. Fuzzy Lightning scored again for Barcelona, it seems the quality of the players around him is certainly helping the American as he scored another simple goal from inside the area for his 3rd goal in as many games this month and took the lead of the race. He opened the scoring against Sevilla but it ended 2-2.

We entered the final lap with Fuzzy Lightning as a bit of a surprise leader but with the rest of the field close behind, it was going to a close last sprint for the line.

Marky Mark played for Benfica as they went out of the League Cup 2-1, Quick Nick played in a 1-0 win over Leverkusen in the Bundeliga. In the Scottish League Cup James Knowles and Haowan both played for their teams as they both went through and Bob Mcbob finished emphatically as he grabbed a goal in a 5-0 win, Mark Webber also played. Arthur White did well and finished powerfully to grab an equaliser against Gretna and he finished well again later in the game to make it 2-4 as Falkirk went through and Arthur White momentarily took the lead of the race. In the English League Cup Mark Cator played as his side went out on penalties to Middlesbrough, Lewis Hamilton and Mat Frith played for Fulham as they crashed out to a 117th minute goal from Ant FM08 on his Newcastle debut. Luckily for Fuzzy Lightning Barcelona also played on Wednesday and in the 89th minute Fuzzy got his head on the end of a Bojan cross to make it 3-0 to his side and continue his goal per game record for the race, the question was, would it be enough to claim what could only be described as a shock race win?

Driver of the Day - I don’t know about you but I think anyone who moves to Barcelona, fits in as if they’ve been playing there all their life and comes out of the month with a record of a goal per game deserves to win the race and thoroughly deserves driver of the day, so well done Fuzzy Lightning. I’d also like to take this opportunity to apologise to Andrew Billen who after I touted for great things last race didn’t find the net once this month.

Race 3 - October

Ant FM08 finished the last race with a debut goal and he started this race in exactly the same way, a goal on his Premier League debut earned Newcastle a 1-0 win over Lewis Hamilton, Mat Frith and Jack Smithston who all played for Fulham. Brendan Petersen played in a 2-0 loss to Chelsea, Nicky played for Leeds as they lost at home against Arsenal 1-0, Mark Cator played in a 2-2 draw at Burnley and Moony put Blackpool ahead early on only for them to lose 2-1. Mikael Schøler returned to the Schalke team as they drew 2-2 with Rostock and Fuzzy Lightning played the first 45 minutes in a 0-3 win at Levante. Arthur White did well to beat 2 defenders before curling a shot into the back of the net to put Falkirk ahead but they could only draw 2-2 against Dundee Utd. Two first half goals from Mark Webber put Celtic well on the way to victory, a well placed shot from outside the box got him off the mark and a cool finish from just inside made it 2-0, Bob Mcbob and Padraig O’Halloran were also involved as Celtic won 4-0 against St Mirren. On Sunday Quick Nick came off the bench in a 2-0 loss to Dortmund and Andrew Billen played in a 1-1 draw with Hearts. On Monday James Knowles and Haowan both played in a 0-2 win for Rangers against Aberdeen.

On Tuesday Mark Cator played in a 1-0 win over Charlton and Moony played in a 0-1 loss to Stoke. Fuzzy Lightning came on as a sub in the champions league and was booked in a 1-0 loss to Sporting, Bob Mcbob was also booked and Padgraig O’Halloran came off the bench but it was Mark Webber who stamped his authority all over this race with a hat-trick of absolute quality. He got away from his defender before finishing well after 24 minutes, just before half time a glancing header found the far corner and Webber had doubled the lead, in the 73rd minute Webber produced his best goal of the game with a free kick that curled beyond the keeper and into the top corner to give Celtic a 3-0 win over Olympiakos. On Wednesday Arthur White played and was booked in a 2-0 loss to Espanyol as Falkirk discover it’s not easy in the champions league, especially when you’re in a group which contains Chelsea and Fiorentina. On Thursday Andrew Billen played as Hibernian crashed out of the Uefa Cup as they lost 2-0 to Anderlecht, Haowan scored a nice chip on the stroke of half time in France to give Rangers a 0-1 win over Sion and the Scots went through 3-0 on aggregate.

Back to SPL action on Saturday and yet another injury, this time Arthur White having a gearbox problem and although it might not be the end of his race the possible two weeks out of action will certainly hinder it. The injury occurred in a 1-0 win over Aberdeen and James Knowles. Elsewhere Mikael Schøler played in a 3-1 win and Fuzzy Lightning played in a 0-2 loss to Real Madrid. Then to England where Jack Smithston played in a 1-4 win over Reading, Lewis Hamilton picked up a flat tyre (virus) that could keep him out for two weeks but team mate Nicky scored a 33rd minute header to give his side a 1-0 win over Middlesbrough. Mark Cator inspired Southampton to a 3-1 win over Norwich, he picked up a brace in the second half with his second goal being an absolute bullet from 18 yards. Moony picked up the ball 40 yards from goal, beat two defenders before hammering a shot in from 20 yards to earn Blackpool a 1-1 draw at Crewe. On Sunday Loic Flamilson came off the bench to make his return to the Everton team in a 2-0 win over Man City while Brendan Petersen played in a 3-4 victory at White Hart Lane. In Scotland Haowan played in a 2-1 win over Morton and Andrew Billen played in a 2-1 loss to Dundee Utd, Mark Webber and Bob Mcbob were upfront for Celtic and Mcbob managed a goal in the dying minutes to give Celtic a 0-2 win over Motherwell.

Tuesday saw Moony pick up a goal as Blackpool won 2-1 against Tranmere in the JPT. On Wednesday Haowan played again for Rangers as they won 2-0 against Dunfermline, Mark Webber scored 2 scrappy goals that handed Celtic a 0-2 win at Falkirk and the Aussie looks to have all but won this race even at this early stage, Bob Mcbob was also involved. In a Scottish League Cup replay Andrew Billen played in a 3-1 win over Hamilton.

On Saturday Celtic recorded a 4-0 win over Dundee Utd and Padraig O’Halloran continued his trend of causing huge problems for his former club, Mark Webber found him inside the box and the Irishman scored after just 40 seconds, just 2 minutes later O’Halloran was first to a rebound and doubled the lead before 4 minutes had been played. Celtic were 3 up before the ten minute mark and just as the half hour approached Mark Webber headed in to score the final goal of the game, Bob Mcbob playd from the bench. Andrew Billen played in a 0-1 loss to Falkirk and James Knowles played in a 2-2 draw. South of the border Nicky played in a 3-1 loss at Villa Park while Brendan Petersen played in a heroic 3-2 win over Man Utd. Mark Cator played in a 3-2 loss to Sheff Utd and Moony was once again on the score sheet as he rounded the keeper in a 1-1 draw with Chester. On Sunday Haowan scored the winning goal for Rangers from 18 yards in a 2-3 victory at Kilmarnock. Jack Smithston headed in a consolation goal for Fulham as they lost 1-2 to Hull, we saw the best of Loic Flamilson as he turned his defender and hammered a shot across the keeper into the top corner which earned him man of the match in Everton’s 2-2 draw with Bolton. Mikael Schøler’s near post header from a corner in the 80th minute secured a 0-2 win against Leverkusen.

On Tuesday an 89th minute strike from Bob Mcbob beat the keeper at his near post to hand Celtic a 2-1 win over Man Utd in the champions league, Padraig O’Halloran and Mark Webber were both involved. On Wednesday Mark Cator played in a 3-2 loss to West Brom and Arthur White played in a 1-0 loss to Fiorentina, Andrew Billen continued to fail to score for Hibs as they drew 1-1 at St Mirren. Thursday saw Marky Mark play for Benfica in a 0-0 draw against FC Metz in the Uefa cup, Haowan headed in a consolation goal for Rangers in a 2-1 loss to FC Twente.

The weekend started with a cracking game in the EPL between Leeds and Fulham with Lewis Hamilton playing in Jack Smithston to open the scoring after just 13 minutes. Then a goal from the Leeds captain Nicky got them level after he passed the ball into the net on 25 minutes, not two minutes later and Lewis Hamilton slotted a rebound into the empty net to regain his side the lead. Leeds levelled things up again in the second half and then Nicky finished well to make it 3-2, Fulham still had a goal in them though and it came 7 minutes from time as Jack Smithston’s shot took a massive deflection to earn his side a point. Moony has come from nowhere and has found himself in second place for a long period of this race, a goal from the penalty spot followed by a well placed effort 5 minutes from time ensured he held onto it and earned Blackpool a 3-3 draw. James Knowles finally got a goal this month and a good goal it was too as his volleyed effort after 19 minutes was good enough to gain a 0-1 victory over Dundee Utd. Mark Webber may be about to record one of the most dominant wins in FMGP history and two almost identical first half goals against Hibs have certainly helped his cause, the pick of the goals though came from Padraig O’Halloran who curled in a powerful effort from 18 yards just seconds after being booked, Andrew Billen played in the 4-1 loss. On Sunday Fuzzy Lightning came off the bench as Barcelona lost 2-1 to Deportivo. In Scotland Michael Schumacher grabbed a last gasp equaliser for Rangers as they drew 2-2 at Motherwell in a game that also involved Haowan, Arthur White got a goal as he curled in from an angle in a 2-1 win over Dunfermline. In England Brendan Petersen and Loic Flamilson both played in 1-0 losses to Liverpool and Newcastle respectively. Mikael Schøler found himself in the right place at the right time to head in from close range in a 2-0 win over Dortmund and Marky Mark came off the bench in a 1-1 draw for Benfica.

Driver of the Day - For the third race in a row it goes to the race winner, this time Mark Webber, as a very good month from the Australian earned him his 5th career victory. After pushing team mate Bob Mcbob for the title last year it was surely only a matter of time before Webber emerged as a contender this season and it seems that time may have come.

So inconsistent. Oh well, after a win, not even a place in the points. I hate to say it but I hope that Eto'o gets hurt for a bit so I can grip a place in the First XI with Bojan, because the two of us are a potentially lethal strike force.

Race 4 - November

The race started with disaster for Falkirk and Arthur White, as he tried to get a good start off the grid his engine blew up and will keep him out for a month, to make matters worse Falkirk were dumped out of the League Cup by Rangers who had Haowan in the team. Mark Webber wasted no time picking up where he left off with a delightful left footed effort from all of 20 yards finding the net after just 31 seconds, Webber then turned provider as he played in Padraig O’Halloran who doubled the lead just past the half hour mark. O’Halloran let Webber know it wasn’t going to be so easy this month as another goal from the Irishman sent him to the front of the race and Celtic through 2-3 with O’Halloran once again terrorising his former club Dundee Utd. James Knowles picked up the ball 30 yards from goal and decided to have a go and it turned out to be a good decision as his shot flew past the keeper to give Aberdeen the lead over Hibernian, Andrew Billen played in a game that ended 3-1 to Aberdeen. In the English League Cup Nicky captained Leeds again, this time to a 0-1 win over Burnley and Ant FM08 seems to have found his favourite competition as he scored the only game of the goal to see off Swansea. In the German Cup Quick Nick played from the bench in a 2-1 loss to Wolfsburg but Mikael Schøler grabbed himself a brace as Schalke progressed 1-3. Barcelona won 0-3 in La Liga at Almeria with Fuzzy Lightning featuring from the bench.

On Saturday Padraig O’Halloran built on his good start to the race with a headed goal in a 1-2 win at Aberdeen with Mark Webber also playing. Rangers were losing 0-1 to Hearts until the last 6 minutes, Haowan picked up the ball on the halfway line and ran and ran some more before scoring a peach from 25 yards on 84 minutes, three minutes later Michael Schumacher’s close range effort deflected in to give Rangers the win. In Germany Mikael Schøler played in a 2-1 loss to FC Bayern. In England Nicky played in a 0-0 draw at Man City and Brendan Petersen played in a 2-0 win over Preston who’s table topping exploits are long over. Loic Flamilson had barely stopped seething at himself for putting a good chance straight at the keeper when the ball was back at his feet 12 yards from goal, the Frenchman wasn’t going to mess things up twice in a row and blasted it into the top corner to score the second in a 4-0 win over Hull. Mark Cator was the sole reason Southampton claimed victory at Colchester as his strike from barely 6 yards out beat the keeper, Moony picked up another 2 goals in a 6-2 win over Lincoln. On Sunday Marky Mark played 10 minutes of a 5-0 win for Benfica while Fuzzy Lightning played 45 minutes of a 0-2 win over Getafe but neither scored. Jack Smithston latched onto a long ball against Spurs and although a heavy touch past the onrushing keeper looked to have taken him too wide to score he still managed to find the net and level things up at 2-2 which was how it ended, Lewis Hamilton also played. On Monday night Andrew Billen played in a 1-1 draw with Motherwell and his failure to score took him to 13 games without a goal, sorry.

On Tuesday evening Moony played in a 2-2 draw for Blackpool and Mark Cator opened the scoring for Southampton with a lovely goal, Cator beat his man on the edge of the box before finding the top corner and got Saints on their way to a 1-4 win over Doncaster. In the champions league Quick Nick came on as a sub and bagged his first ever Werder Bremen goal as he slotted past the keeper with 89 minutes played to secure a 0-2 win over Zurich. Wednesday saw Fuzzy Lightning get 5 minutes at the end of a 3-0 win over Bayern while Padraig O’Halloran and Mark Webber played in a 3-0 loss at Old Trafford. In the Uefa Cup on Thursday only Haowan played in a 3-1 win for Rangers.

Padraig O’Halloran continued his charge towards a race win as he scored the third and final goal in a 3-1 win which also involved Mark Webber and Bob Mcbob. Lewis Hamilton, Jack Smithston and Mat Frith all played in a 2-0 loss to Birmingham, Brendan Petersen capitalised on two goalkeeping errors to grab a brace in a 3-1 win over Blackburn. Mark Cator also picked up a brace with two good finishes from inside the area in a 3-0 win over Derby, Moony played as Blackpool progressed to the next round of the FA Cup with a 2-1 win over Wrexham. Fuzzy Lightning played the first half of a 1-1 draw with Celta. On Sunday Nicky got his head on the end of a free kick that was pumped into the area to put Leeds 1-0 up against Everton and Loic Flamilson but unfortunately for the Yorkshire club the game ended 1-1. Mikael Schøler played for Schalke in a 0-2 loss to Stuttgart and both Michael Schumacher and Haowan played in a 0-0 draw at St Mirren. On Monday night Andrew Billen once again failed to find the net in a 2-1 win over James Knowles and Aberdeen.

After an international break we got back to league action and Jack Smithston and Lewis Hamilton were on the wrong end of a 1-4 score line against Chelsea, Nicky played in a 0-0 draw with Reading while Brendan Petersen played in a 2-1 loss to Middlesbrough. Loic Flamilson grabbed two goals in the space of four minutes, both from close range to set Everton on their way to a 3-0 win over Tottenham. Mark Cator took the race lead as he beat his defender before firing in along the ground from just inside the area, Southampton went on to win 2-0 over Bristol City. Moony found the net to level things up for Blackpool early on but they went on to lose 3-1. Mikael Schøler slotted under the keeper on the stroke of half time to score the only goal of the game in a 0-1 win at Nurnberg. Marky Mark played for Benfica in a 4-1 win and Fuzzy Lightning featured in a 0-3 win for Barcelona.

Coming into the last lap of the race Padraig O’Halloran was sitting just behind Mark Cator and it looked like whoever had the better game midweek would walk away with a win.

On Tuesday Padraig O’Halloran and Bob Mcbob both played in a 3-1 win over Stuttgart but the show was stolen by Mark Webber, he opened the scoring from a seemingly impossible angle in the first half and finished the scoring from a similar angle late in the second. O’Halloran’s failure to score looked to have handed the race win to Mark Cator who played the following evening. Fuzzy Lightning also played on Tuesday in a 0-3 win. The following night all the pressure was on Mark Cator as he looked to fend off Padraig O’Halloran and when Cator could only manage an appearance in a 3-1 loss to Plymouth, his position was not as secure as he might have liked.

Driver of the Day - A close race which proved an old cliché to be correct “it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish” Padraig O’Halloran got off to a flyer but couldn’t maintain his pace whereas Mark Cator started and finished solidly and earned him his 10th career podium and his second race win of the season. With it he created a gap between himself and the chasing pack and moved his team to the front of the constructors battle, I’d like to make a prediction as to what the future holds for Cator after such a good start but after what happened with Andrew Billen (he still hasn’t scored since I said to watch out for him) I’ll say nothing.

Race 5 - December

Race five started well for Haowan who got the jump on the rest of the drivers off the grid, he scored a delicate chip to put Rangers 1-0 up after 11 minutes and then headed them 2-1 up in the 93rd minute to make it an unhappy comeback for Alex Rodgers who played from the bench for Falkirk, Michael Schumacher did the same for Rangers. Andrew Billen continued his miserable luck of late and and was booked, probably out of frustration as Hibernian lost 4-2. Werder Bremen had Quick Nick to thank for getting them back into the game as he beat the keeper to the ball and tucked away an equaliser 25 minutes from time and Bremen went on to win 1-2 at Mainz. Lewis Hamilton, Jack Smithston and Fulham as a whole felt the wrath of Man Utd and especially Wayne Rooney as he scored 3 times in a 4-0 loss for the London club, Nicky on the other hand rounded the keeper and scored early in the game earning Leeds a 1-1 draw with Bolton. Two relegated clubs played each other in the Championship as Southampton welcomed league leaders, West Ham but a good start meant that when Mark Cator fired in from 18 yards after just 4 minutes it was to double their advantage in a game that ended 4-2 to the Saints. Ant FM08 played for Newcastle on Sunday but it’s probably a day he’ll want to forget as they lost 5-0 to Hull, Loic Flamilson played in a 2-1 loss away at Birmingham and Brendan Petersen played in a 1-0 win over Portsmouth. Mikael Schøler played in a 0-1 loss to Aachen and Fuzzy Lightning played in a 3-0 win for Barcelona. In Scotland, on Sunday Celtic took 70 minutes to start playing and when they did it was much thanks to Padraig O’Halloran, he headed in at the near post to claim his 10th goal of the season with 20 minutes to go then with 2 minutes left on the clock he bamboozled a defender leaving him injured on the ground before beating the keeper for his second. It looked unlikely there would be a third with very little time left but in injury time O’Halloran found just enough space to get a shot away and it curled away from the keeper giving him his hat-trick and Celtic a 0-3 win, Mark Webber played. On Monday James Knowles found the net after just 2 minutes with a header that took forever to go in against Motherwell as Aberdeen won 2-1.

On Tuesday Mark Cator started the scoring with a thunderbolt along the ground and into the bottom corner in an exciting game at Wigan that ended 3-3. On Wednesday Haowan and Michael Schumacher played in a 3-1 loss to Sparta Prague in the Uefa Cup.

At the weekend Nicky played in a 0-0 draw with Hull, Loic Flamilson played in a 1-0 loss at Old Trafford and Brendan Petersen scored from close range after just 30 seconds to give Sunderland a 1-0 win over Aston Villa. Fulham travelled to Preston and despite Lewis Hamilton twice finding the net to get them back into the game the London club still came away with a 4-2 loss, Jack Smihtston was alos involved. Mark Cator played and was booked in a 1-1 draw at QPR while Moony played in a 3-0 loss. Quick Nick played for Werder Bremen in a 3-0 win over Koln and Fuzzy Lightning played in a 0-4 win over Real Sociedad. James Knowles played in a 1-2 loss to Dunfermline, Celtic had substitute Bob Mcbob to thank for their victory as he came off the bench to grab both goals as they beat Morton, the second coming from a wonderful pass by Mark Webber, Padraig O’Halloran was also involved. On Sunday Mikael Schøler slotted into the far corner to double the lead for Schalke as they won 0-2 at Frankfurt and Haowan played in a 2-1 loss to Dundee Utd. Andrew Billen played on Monday night and despite a total of 6 goals he didn’t score any of them in a 4-2 win over Kilmarnock.

Tuesday night saw Falkirk welcome back Arthur White as he teamed with Alex Rodgers against Espanyol, what should have been a happy day for the fans turned into a bad one as they lost 0-3 and were dumped out of the champions league having only scored 1 goal and not collected a single point. On Wednesday Fuzzy Lightning came on as a sub in a 4-2 win over Sporting CP which saw Barcelona go through as group winners, a goal either side of half time, one each for Padraig O’Halloran and Mark Webber gave Celtic a 0-2 win in Greece which saw them go through second behind Man Utd.

On Saturday both Lewis Hamilton and Jack Smithston were booked in a 0-3 loss to Liverpool and Moony played for Blackpool in a 4-0 win over Port Vale, championship leader Mark Cator picked up a virus keeping him out for two weeks and didn’t play for Southampton as they won. In Scotland James Knowles played in a 4-1 win over Morton while two headed goals from Bob Mcbob helped Celtic to a 3-0 win over Hearts, the second goal came from a Mark Webber cross, both he and Mcbob picked up bookings while Padraig O’Halloran played from the bench. On Sunday Brendan Petersen played in a 4-0 loss to Arsenal and Mikael Schøler played in a 1-0 win for Werder Bremen. But the big news came from Scotland and the Hibernian vs. Rangers game, Rangers were 0-1 to the good, then after a defender collided with the goalkeeper Andrew Billen finally headed in to score his 5th goal of the season, Haowan was in the Rangers team that eventually drew 2-2. On Monday night Arthur White benefited from a bit of pinball in the penalty area as the ball seemed to bounce off about 5 players before landing kindly at his feet to slot home in a 1-2 win over Motherwell in which Alex Rodgers also played.

On Wednesday Loic Flamilson scored a fantastic goal after 21 seconds against Chelsea, he beat his defender and then belted his shot past the keeper from 18 yards. Things couldn’t have got much better for Everton and quite frankly they didn’t as Chelsea ran away to a 1-5 win but still, it had been good start. Rangers needed a win in the Uefa Cup to stand any chance of going through, Haowan and Michael Schumacher both played in a 3-2 win that saw them qualify. Ant FM08 played on Thursday night as Newcastle beat Basel 5-0 and went through top of their group.

Boxing day served up a couple of nice games, one of them being the Merseyside derby and Loic Flamilson came out of it smiling as he was on the winning side of a 1-0 score line. Nicky didn’t have such a great day as he played in a 2-1 loss to Blackburn but Ant FM08 was on the winning side against Birmingham. Most of the action, in the EPL at least, happened in Fulham’s 1-1 draw with Sunderland, Brendan Petersen finished well after 17 minutes despite appeals for offside and Lewis Hamitlon put away a rebound from Jack Smithston’s shot to level things up just before the half hour, Smithston would later spin off and put himself out for 2 weeks with a neck injury. Moony ran from inside his own half and scored from an improbable angle and distance in a 4-1 loss to Barnsley. In Scotland James Knowles played in a 0-1 win over Kilmarnock, Arthur White headed in to open the scoring for Falkirk as he and Alex Rodgers played in a 1-2 win as St Mirren. A surprise win in one derby and a surprise start in another, Haowan headed Rangers 1-0 up against Celtic after 11 minutes, Bob Mcbob got his side back in the game with an unstoppable effort from 25 yards just seven minutes after going behind. Mcbob was in again late in the second half and when he slotted past the keeper it was to make it 1-3 and Celtic collected the three points. With his third brace in as many games Bob Mcbob has emerged as a leading candidate to win the race.

So we went into the last lap with Bob Mcbob hoping he had done enough to win this race, he knew he was safe from any challenge by Padraig O’Halloran but it was drivers outside Scotland he needed to be weary of.

Fuzzy Lightning wasn’t one of those drivers going into the last lap and although he played in a 1-1 draw he didn’t score. And so it was left to the players in England to provide the challenge, a deflected free kick rebounded to Lewis Hamilton who finished well to give Fulham a 0-1 win over Middlesbrough, Mat Frith also played. A good run and a good pass to Nicky allowed him to sneak his shot under the keeper to give Leeds a valuable away win at a snow covered White Hart Lane. Brendan Petersen put Sunderland 2-1 up against Man City after his initial effort was save and then a square pass in the 92nd minute gave the Australian an easy finish for his second goal in a 4-1 win. Moony claimed a brace in a 6-2 win for Blackpool.

Driver of the Day - We are yet to see anything like the form that won him the drivers championship last season but Bob Mcbob is still right up there, trying to defend his title at the half way point this year. Solid if not spectacular performances seem to be keeping him in touch with the leader although Mark Cator’s unfortunate illness certainly aided the champion. Brendan Petersen and Lewis Hamilton both collected their 5th ever podium spot while Hamilton collected his first points of the season but in the end it goes to Mcbob.
