Race 6 - January

The Falkirk drivers got the jump on the rest of the pack as they played on New Years Day, Arthur White scored on the counter attack just a minute after half time and doubled the lead as his shot from an impossible angle took a big deflection. Alex Rodgers benefited from Hearts desperately trying to get back into the game and on 80 minutes he had far too much room and killed the game off making it 3-0. The following day Moony played in a 1-0 loss to Chesterfield, Nicky played in a 0-1 loss to Chelsea and Brendan Petersen played in a 0-0 draw with Reading. A Lewis Hamilton inspired Fulham claimed a 3-1 win in the London derby with Arsenal, despite the gunners going 0-1 up after 5 minutes. Hamilton scored the equaliser after 33 minutes as he tucked away a rebound, ten minutes later a long ball over the top allowed him to fool the keeper, this time providing himself with an easy finish. Any hopes of a comeback from Arsenal were extinguished with 15 minutes to go as Hamilton passed the ball into the net from 18 yards to claim his hat-trick, Mat Frith also played but Hamilton was obviously the star of the show and took the race lead. Fuzzy Lightning played for Barcelona in a victory in the Spanish Cup.

Mark Webber started off the action two days later as his headed effort from a corner went in off the post for his 100th Celtic goal, the Australian seemed keen to celebrate in style and within 10 minutes had scored again from close range. The day was complete for Webber after 72 minutes when he scored again from close range after some nice play to give him his hat-trick and Celtic a 0-5 win, Bob Mcbob also played. James Knowles, Haowan and Michael Schumacher all played as Rangers won 1-0, some good chest control and a calm volleyed finish from Alex Rodgers levelled things up momentarily but Falkirk went on to lose 2-3 to Dundee Utd, Arthur White also played. Andrew Billen has hopefully found his goal scoring touch, he scored an easy goal after 14 minutes to set Hibs on their way to a 1-2 victory. Lewis Hamilton clearly felt Mark Webber breathing down his neck and the young Englishman pushed hard to hold onto his lead but there was a price to pay, possibly trying too hard Hamilton was his own worst enemy and crashed out of the race with a hamstring injury keeping him out for up to a month. The injury came in a 4-2 defeat at Portsmouth with the highlight being a well placed finish earning Mat Frith a goal. Nicky scored following a quick free kick for his side after just 5 minutes, it was his 50th goal for the club and turned out to be an important one as it earned them 3 points as they battle relegation. Moony played in a 1-0 win over Exeter and Fuzzy Lightning played in a 1-1 draw at Elche.

At this time last year we saw a few drivers agree to move at the end of the season and we saw a repeat performance this year, with Lewis Hamilton, Jack Smithston and Mat Frith already at Fulham it seems strange they would want another striker and slightly stranger that one would want to join them however even with offers from Reading and Hull, Alex Rodgers decided to join Fulham in July. Andrew Billen has obviously done something to impress this season despite his dry spell and he’ll be joining Hull at the end of the season.

It was FA Cup weekend in England and Loic Flamilson was man of the match despite not scoring in a 3-1 win for the toffees. Brendan Petersen played for Sunderland in a disappointing 1-1 draw at Hartlepool. Mark Cator returned from injury for 64 minutes of a 3-1 win before he picked up another injury keeping him out for a further week. Mat Frith scored for Fulham as they went through 3-1. Andew Billen might have been distracted by off the field matters as he failed to score any of 5 goals scored by Hibernian as they won 5-1, Mark Webber continued as he started the race, with a goal inside the ten minute mark to put Celtic ahead. Falkirk drew level and just after half time they took the lead through Alex Rodgers who scored from an unlikely angle, the game ended 2-2 with Arthur White playing and Bob Mcbob getting booked. Two powerful strikes sandwiched a delicate chip from Michael Schumacher on Sunday as he scored a hat-trick in a 2-4 win over Dunfermline. James Knowles captained Aberdeen on Monday night and he put in a captains performance as he scored a brace that helped his side to a 4-1 win over Hearts.

The following weekend it was time for the Scottish Cup, Alex Rodgers scored a consolation goal for last years winners as they fell at the first hurdle in a 3-1 loss to Motherwell, Arthur White also played. James Knowles put in a rebound to make it 1-2 to Aberdeen and they went on to beat Queen of the South 1-4, Andrew Billen scored a good goal from 18 yards to put his side 2-1 up as they went on to beat Ross County 4-2. Fuzzy Lightning played for Barcelona as they won 4-0 over Espanyol. In England Nicky played as Leeds lost 4-0 to Man Utd and Mat Frith scored a winning goal for Fulham as they won 1-2 away at Aston Villa, Jack Smithston also played. Brendan Petersen fired low and hard into the bottom corner to give Sunderland a 2-1 lead over Bolton and they eventually won 3-2. Moony scored twice in a 2-3 defeat. On Sunday Loic Flamilson played in a 0-0 draw with Reading, back in the Scottish Cup their was a highly anticipated match between Celtic and Rangers to be played, Celtic got off to a flyer in the form of Mark Webber as he scored from close range but a fairly difficult angle. The league leaders doubled their advantage after 16 minutes of play and again it was Webber, scoring an almost identical goal but from the opposite side. Celtic pushed on and Bob Mcbob struck the 4th and final goal in the 58th minute, Padraig O’Halloran, Haowan and Michael Schumacher were all also involved.

On Tuesday night there was a goal each for Arthur White and Alex Rodgers in a 2-1 win over Hibernian although Rodgers’ goal looked more than a little offside, the big news though was between them the Falkirk drivers forced Andrew Billen off of the track and put him out for up to a month. On Wednesday James Knowles played in a 1-0 loss to St Mirren and both Bob Mcbob and Mark Webber played in a 0-0 draw. Michael Schumacher scored twice for Rangers as they recorded a 3-0 win over Kilmarnock, Haowan played from the bench. FA Cup replays saw former Kilmarnock player Ant FM08 play in a 2-1 loss to Liverpool as well as a game and a yellow card for Nicky in a 2-1 loss to Plymouth. Brendan Petersen scored a 1st minute penalty against Hartlepool which turned out to be enough to send Sunderland through. Fuzzy Lightning played the full 90 minutes in a 0-0 Spanish Cup game with Athletico Madrid.

Saturday saw a debut performance and it was from Gold Member as he played the last 10 minutes in a 0-3 loss to Chelsea. Also involved in losses were Brendan Petersen, Nicky and Loic Flamilson however Jack Smithston and Mat Fith played in an exciting 3-3 draw with Blackburn, Frith set up Smithston for the first goal of the match with a cross that allowed Smithston to head in, Mat Frith supplied the pass for the second goal as well which was cooly slotted away by Jack Smithston and then in the second half Frith again supplied the pass that allowed Smithston to score again and claim a hat-trick and put them 3-1 up but they couldn’t defend well enough and ended up with a point. Both Mark Cator and Moony failed to find the net as they played in 1-1 and 2-2 draws respectively. Two Fuzzy Lightning goals, one in each half was enough to send Barcelona through to the next round of the Spanish Cup as they drew 2-2 with Athletico Madrid but went through on away goals. James Knowles, Arthur White and Alex Rodgers all played in a 0-2 win for Falkirk and then at Celtic Park Bob Mcbob found the bottom corner to open the scoring after just 22 seconds. Mcbob scored again this time after 22 minutes and this time finding the top corner as a free kick was teed up for Bob to strike and it flew in from at least 35 yards, the hat-trick was complete before half time, as a ball was played in Mcbob turned and shot in one motion beating the keeper on power alone. Padraig O’Halloran and Mark Webber both played in the match which ended 4-0 over Motherwell. On Sunday Michael Schumacher played in a 0-1 win over Morton.

During the week Fuzzy Lightning played in a 1-1 draw in the Spanish Cup against Real Sociedad.

The weekend started with a headed goal from former drivers champion James Knowles in a 1-2 loss to Dundee Utd, Haowan put away a rebound 5 minutes before half time to give Rangers a 2-0 win over Motherwell and a comeback in the last 10 minutes was completed by Mark Webber as he blasted past the keeper with 90 minutes played to give Celtic a 1-2 win over Hibs, Padraig O’Halloran and Bob Mcbob also played but it looks like Mark Webber is set for another race win. In the English Premier League Ant FM08 and Nicky played in a 2-0 win for Newcastle and then attention turned to the FA Cup. Gold Member followed up on his debut last week with two goals inside the opening half hour for Birmingham as they cruised to a 1-4 victory over Burnley, Brendan Petersen played in a 1-2 win over Coventry. Mat Frith and Jack Smithston both played in a 2-0 win over Millwall, Mark Cator played in a 1-1 draw with Wolves and Loic Flamilson came up with a goal in the last 10 minutes in a disappointing 3-1 loss to Championship strugglers Wigan. On sunday Marky Mark played for Benfica as they won away from home 0-1 and Fuzzy Lightning was booked in a 3-0 win for Barcelona, Alex Rodgers and Arthur White both played in a 1-0 loss to Dunfermline.

With one day of transfer activity to go Michael Schumacher made a surprise £1.5m move to become the third driver playing in the Bundeliga as he joined Stuttgart, just in time for the re-start of their season.

Schumacher’s former club suffered a loss the day following his exit, they went out of the Scottish League Cup on penalties to Hearts with Haowan playing. Mikael Schøler returned to action as he played in a 3-0 win for Schalke in the German Cup. Then in the Premiership team mates Ant FM08 and Gold Member both grabbed some last minute points as they both featured in a draw and a loss respectively, Lewis Hamilton returned to the Fulham team and scored within a minute of the game starting to put them 1-0 up against Man City. Two goals from City put them in lead but Jack Smithston flicked the ball past the keeper after 25 minutes to level things up again. Smithston scored again ten minutes later as he beat his defender before chipping the keeper to give his side the lead but City equalised before half time. Two second half goals from Man City looked to have won them the game but Jack Smithston swept the ball into the net to claim his hat-trick for the second consecutive Premiership game and give his side another way back into the game. Mat Frith came on as a sub but Fulham couldn’t get back into it and eventually lost 4-5.

Driver of the Day - I don’t like to keep giving this to the race winner so this month it goes to Jack Smithston, scoring hat-tricks in consecutive games is no mean feat, especially in the Premier League so hats off to him for that. On the back of those six goals he managed a second place finish, only losing out to Mark Webber because the Australian had played more games, on that note Webber also deserves a mention as he won the race and joined Bob Mcbob and Mark Cator in a 3 way race for the drivers championship while pushing his team even further ahead in the constructors. With 4 races to go things are tighter than they’ve ever been and there are plenty of drivers who could still take the championship other than the top 3, the constructors race looks pretty much sewn up to me but anything could still happen.

Race 7 - February

The race started on Wednesday with the second semi final of the Scottish League Cup, Mark Webber, Bob Mcbob and Padraig O’Halloran all played for Celtic as they won 2-0 with James Knowles playing for the losing side. Mark Cator played for Southampton as they smashed 4 past Cardiff in a 4-1 victory, Nicky played for Leeds as they lost 3-1 to Preston, Loic Flamilson played in a 4-2 loss to Aston Villa. Brendan Petersen got the first goal of the month as he put the ball in the far corner to score the winner in a 2-1 win over Hull.

The weekend came around and Loic Flamilson took advantage of some poor goalkeeping to put Everton 2-0 up against Fulham, Jack Smithston scored with a headed goal from a corner in first half injury time. Less than two minutes into the second half and Lewis Hamilton dispossessed a defender before scoring the equaliser and the game ended level. Mark Cator played in a 1-0 loss to Swansea, Moony scored twice in a 0-2 win over Southend and Quick Nick played the full 90 minutes in a 2-2 draw for Werder Bremen. Final action of the Saturday saw a good cut back allow James Knowles an easy goal to put his side ahead in the Scottish Cup after 5 minutes and his free kick from 35 yards deflected off the wall and beat the keeper to double the lead just before half time, the game ended 1-4 to Aberdeen. Gold Member kicked off Sunday with a bang as a wonderful curling effort from 18 yards beat the keeper, unfortunately it was only a consolation goal in a 1-3 loss to Liverpool. Nicky and Brendan Petersen both played the full 90 minutes in a 2-2 draw between their sides. Mikael Schøler played for Schalke as they won 1-0, they sit 3rd in the table but a massive 12 points away from top spot. Marky Mark featured as a last minute substitute in a 2-1 win over Porto, putting Benfica just a single point behind the legue leaders. In the Scottish Cup Bob Mcbob scored a good goal to put Celtic 3-0 just a minute after half time and he went on to score to make it 4-0 with a curling free kick from the edge of the area, he was one of 5 scorers as Celtic triumphed 6-0 over Dundee Utd, Padraig O’Halloran played from the bench but wasn’t amongst the scorers.

The following weekend saw a charge to the front from Lewis Hamilton as he scored the opener against Reading after a nice one-two, the youngster doubled the lead in the second half as he put away a rebound and Fulham ran out 2-1 winners, Jack Smithston also played. Gold Member played in a 2-0 loss to Preston whilst Brendan Petersen played in a 1-0 win over Tottenham. Mark Cator played for Southampton in an FA Cup replay as they crashed out on penalties to Wolves, Moony played in a 1-1 draw with Watford. Quick Nick played for Werder Bremen as they beat Gladbach 2-0, in Scotland Andrew Billen came off the bench to make a delayed start to the race and almost instantly spun off again putting himself out for a possible further 3 weeks. Bob Mcbob and Mark Webber both played in a 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock and James Knowles hammered in a volley from inside the box to claim his 15th goal of the season, helping Aberdeen to a 1-2 win at Motherwell and to take the race lead. Mikael Schøler opened the scoring for Schalke on Sunday after less than 2 minutes as he beat his defender before sending a rocket past the keeper and into the net, it was the first of 6 goals in a 3-3 draw. Loic Flamilson played for Everton as they lost 3-1 to Man City and the Frenchman pulled a rating of 5 and saw his form publicly criticised by his manager. Haowan scored on the stroke of half time to put Rangers 1-3 up at Falkirk, the home side pressed on and were awarded a penalty with barely seconds of the first half remaining, Alex Rodgers shouldered the responsibility but his penalty was saved well by Chris Kirkland. Rodgers would redeem himself slightly in the second half as his cross set up a goal for Arthur White but had he scored the penalty Falkirk could have come away with a point instead of a 2-3 loss.

On Tuesday Mark Cator played as Southampton won 1-0 against Sheffield Utd and Nicky played in a 2-0 loss at the Riverside. On Wednesday Bob Mcbob scored a headed goal after 20 minutes to put Celtic 1-0 up, James Knowles and Mark Webber both played in the 1-1 draw between their sides and with his goal Mcbob joined Knowles out in front. Arthur White and Alex Rodgers both grabbed a goal in the first half as Falkirk ran out 3-1 victors over Kilmarnock. On Thursday night the Uefa Cup returned and Marky Mark played in a 1-1 draw away at Bordeaux, Haowan played for Rangers as they beat Spartak Moscow 2-1.

At the weekend it was FA Cup time again and Lewis Hamilton and Mat Frith played in their last cup game for the season as Fulham lost 1-2 to Tottenham. Sunderland on the other hand progressed to the next round despite going behind after just two minutes, Brendan Petersen rescued his side with an equaliser shortly after going behind and the Australian went on to score the winner in the second half. Mark Cator played in the Championship as Southampton again won 1-0, this time against Burnley. Moony played in a 2-0 loss to Stoke. Arthur White and Alex Rodgers both played but neither scored for Falkirk in a 0-2 win over Morton. On Sunday Mikael Schøler played in a 1-1 draw away at Hertha BSC, Marky Mark played in a 1-2 win for Benfica and Fuzzy Lightning played in a 0-1 win for Barcelona. Haowan played in a 3-0 win for Rangers over St Mirren, Bob Mcbob looks like a good bet for the race win and he helped his cause with the opening goal against Dunfermline, Padraig O’Halloran doubled the lead as he placed the ball in the far corner after 16 minutes. O’Halloran grabbed his second of the game on the stroke of half time as he powered a free kick into the bottom corner from all of 20 yards, Mark Webber also played in a game that ended 0-5. On Monday James Knowles made sure Bob Mcbob knew he was in for a battle if he wanted the win, Knowles put away a rebound to score what turned out to be the winning goal in a 2-1 win over Hibernian.

On Wednesday Bob Mcbob, Mark Webber and Padraig O’Halloran all played as Celtic drew 1-1 with PSG in the Champions League, Fuzzy Lightning played in a 2-2 draw with Lyon in the same competition. Mark Cator scored from 6 yards out as Southampton claimed a 2-3 victory at Norwich. Thursday evening saw Marky Mark play for Benfica as they drew 2-2 with Bordeaux and went out of the Uefa Cup on away goals. Ant FM08 had no such dramas as he came off the bench in a 1-0 win over Monaco with Newcastle progressing, Haowan played in a 0-1 win over Spartak Moscow as the Scottish side also went through.

Andrew Billen returned to the Hibs squad on Saturday in a 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock, James Knowles also played in a draw, this one was 2-2 with Dunfermline. Fuzzy Lightning played for Barcelona as they lost 4-2 to Real Madrid, Mikael Schøler played in a 1-1 draw away at Kaiserslautern. Mark Cator played for Southampton as they beat Charlton 1-4, Loic Flamilson scored for Everton to equalise against Blackburn but Everton went on to lose 1-2. Brendan Petersen scored from outside the area to put Sunderland 0-1 up against Birmingham, in the second half Petersen latched onto a long ball and despite looking offside he kept his head, rounded the keeper and slotted into the empty net to double the lead and score what turned out to be a crucial goal as Birmingham managed a consolation goal in the last minute, Gold Member played some part in the game. With his goals Petersen suddenly found himself at the front of the race and Sunderland find themselves 6th. On Sunday Lewis Hamilton put himself right into the fight for the race win as he scored a header after 25 minutes to put his side ahead against Bolton, three minutes later Hamilton diverted a low cross goal wards from 6 yards out and after striking the post he had doubled the lead and pulled level with Petersen out in front. Five minutes away from half time Hamilton brought down a high ball before beating 2 defenders and smashing a goal of absolute quality past the keeper for his hat-trick and the race lead. Hamilton might have had a 4th goal after 55 minutes when his shot was saved by the keeper but still nearly crossed the line, as it happened Jack Smithston got to it first and stole a goal, the game ended 2-5. Nicky played only 13 minutes for Leeds as he hit the wall coming into the last corner of the penultimate lap and put himself out for 2 weeks. Marky Mark played for Benfica as they won 3-1 and maintained the pressure on Porto at the top. Haowan scored a wonderful effort from 18 yards before ten minutes had been played to put his side in the lead, then on 30 minutes his first header hit the post but he got a huge chunk of luck as it rebounded to him and he headed in at the second attempt. Things didn’t go all his way though and just before half time, like Nicky before him he picked up an injury that will keep him out for up to 2 weeks. Having seen first Brendan Petersen and then Lewis Hamilton overtake him, Bob Mcbob wasted little time trying to hunt them down, a nice bit of control got him on the inside of his defender and he curled past the keeper after just 4 minutes. Signs that Mcbob was in a hurry were confirmed as he doubled his and Celtic’s tally after 10 minutes when his deflected shot found the back of the net, after half time a fantastic pass picked out Mcbob on the edge of the penalty area and he made quite a difficult finish look easy as his side footed volley found the top corner for his hat-trick. A heavy touch from Padraig O’Halloran took him past the keeper but it looked to have taken him out of play as well, the Irishman surprised everybody though as he got to the ball just in time to find the empty net, Bob Mcbob probably thought his scoring exploits for the game were done but when a terrible pass back to the keeper found Mcbob instead he couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a 4th to increase his lead, back at the front of the race. Mark Webber also played in a game that ended 1-7 against Morton. On Monday night Arthur White and Alex Rodgers participated in a 0-1 win for their side.

On Wednesday evening the German Cup quarter finals took place and Mikael Schøler played for Schalke against Stuttgart, at full time it was 1-1 and as they headed into extra time the stage was set for someone to become a hero, and it was debutant Michael Schumacher who stepped up as he nipped in front of the goalkeeper before prodding the ball home in the 115th minute to claim the win.

Driver of the Day - Several candidates for this race really with Mcbob, Hamilton and Petersen all having good races but for this one I’m taking previous races into account as well, Haowan finished in the points again and although he has rarely finished on the podium let alone won a race this season he is sitting 4th in the drivers championship and still has a small chance of winning the title. Back to the championship and Bob Mcbob takes the lead but Mark Cator isn’t going anywhere, with only 8 points the difference, Mark Webber is still in the picture but he needs to re-find his goalscoring touch if he wants to dethrone his team mate. Mathematically it’s still possible for anyone as far down as Arthur White to win the drivers championship but I think this one is going to be between Mcbob and Cator come the end of the season.

Race 8 - March

Fuzzy Lightning started the race in a positive manner for Barcelona, he latched onto a good ball over the top before rounding the keeper and doubling his sides lead, the American picked up man of the match as they beat Levante 3-0. Mikael Schøler played for Schalke as they managed a 1-1 draw away at Gladbach and Quick Nick played in a 1-2 win over Rostock. There were no goals for Lewis Hamilton or Jack Smithston as they both played in a 0-1 loss to Newcastle, Nicky played in a 3-0 loss to Arsenal but Brendan Petersen managed a calm finish after tackling a defender to put his side back in the game against Chelsea, unfortunately Petersen’s efforts were wasted as the London club won 2-3. Mark Cator desperately needs to find the sort of form he had at the start of the season if he wants to wrestle the drivers title away from Bob Mcbob, he didn’t find it this week as he only played in a 3-1 win. Mcbob wasted little time in taking the race lead and a huge deflection helped him as his shot from 30 yards beat the keeper, he didn’t need any help for his second goal though as he scored from a tight angle just a few minutes later and Mark Webber assured them of the 3 points just ten minutes after Mcbob’s first goal as they beat Rangers 3-2, Padraig O’Halloran also played. Arthur White and Alex Rodgers both played in a 4-0 victory over St Mirren and James Knowles was part of an Aberdeen side that beat Kilmarnock by the same score, Andrew Billen came on as a sub in a 3-0 win. On Sunday Gold Member played for Birmingham in a 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough, Loic Flamilson opened the scoring as he passed the ball into the Reading net after only 65 seconds and Everton went on to win 3-1.

On Tuesday Fuzzy Lightning played for Barcelona as they lost to Lyon and crashed out of the champions league, Bob Mcbob played for Celtic and Mark Webber picked up man of the match for his two assists as Celtic went through. Mark Cator seems to have listened to me as he opened the scoring to claim his 20th goal of the season mid way through the first half, Cator then placed a shot from 18 yards in the far corner for his second and helped Southampton to a 2-4 victory. On Thursday night Haowan returned to the Rangers side and marked his return with a quality goal as he chipped the keeper from the edge of the box to earn his side a 1-1 draw with Udinese in the Uefa Cup.

On Saturday there was no goals for any of the drivers in the English Premiership as Loic Flamilson, Jack Smithston, Lewis Hamilton, Mat Frith and Nicky all played in separate matches, Lewis Hamilton however picked up an injury that could see him miss 2 weeks of action. Mark Cator is pushing for the drivers championship and he knows he needs to pick up his game, he scored a delightful goal as he found the top corner from 18 yards just after half time to make it a 4-0 win over Colchester. Moony played in a 3-2 loss to Bradford. Quick Nick and Fuzzy Lightning both played in wins for their sides, both came off the bench in 2-1 and 4-2 wins respectively. Bob Mcbob knew he had to respond to Mark Cator’s increasingly good lap times and he did just that as he headed Celtic to a 1-1 draw away at Morton in the Scottish Cup. On Sunday Ant FM08 scored a goal in the last 20 minutes to give Newcastle a 1-0 win over Man City, Ant rounded the keeper to collect his 5th goal of the season and put his team just 4 points off the league leaders. Sunderland had Brendan Petersen in the starting 11 as they only managed a 1-1 draw at Cardiff in the FA Cup. Mikael Schøler played for Schalke as they beat Wolfsburg 2-1, Haowan and Andrew Billen both played as Rangers beat Hibs 2-0 in the SPL and in the Scottish Cup James Knowles scored before 2 minutes were up to put his side in the lead before scoring again in the 71st minute to again put them in the lead before Aberdeen eventually drew 3-3 with St Johnstone. On Monday night Alex Rodgers and Arthur White played in a 1-0 win for Falkirk.

On Wednesday James Knowles picked up where he left off against St Johnstone as he scored against them again to thwart any ideas they might have had about another comeback as Aberdeen progressed to the next round of the Scottish Cup 5-2, Bob Mcbob scored another header against Morton, this time in the opening 10 minutes instead of the last and Mcbob scored a second on the hour mark to complete a 3-0 victory to see them through. Mark Cator saw Mcbob fly past him and knew he needed a goal to keep in touch with the new race leader but he failed to find the net in a 2-1 loss to Bristol City. On Thursday Haowan played for Rangers as they lost to a penalty goal in Italy that saw them go out of the Uefa Cup.

Arthur White got the weekend started with a bang, or more specifically a goal as he headed in an Alex Rodgers cross from close range to score an 82nd minute winner for Falkirk. Gold Member came off the bench for Birmingham in a 1-0 loss to Arsenal, Jack Smithston and Lewis Hamilton both played in a 3-1 win over Leeds with the opposition goal being a headed effort from Nicky in the 24th minute. Mark Cator fired low, hard and into the back of the net to give Southampton a 1-0 lead over Doncaster after 23 minutes and his side went onto win 4-1. On Sunday Mikael Schøler scored from 8 yards out to level the game up just 2 minutes after Schalke had gone behind and they eventually won 1-2 over Hannover, Quick Nick played in a 0-0 draw for Werder Bremen. Loic Flamilson played in a 1-1 draw with Newcastle and in the SPL Haowan played in a 0-1 win at Aberdeen. Also on Sunday was the Scottish League Cup final and Celtic went into the game having won the last 4 years in a row, their opposition were Hearts who had been finalists for 3 out of Celtic’s 4 consecutive wins. Celtic looked to gain an early advantage and they managed it when Bob Mcbob’s deflected cross found Padraig O’Halloran on the edge of the 6 yards box, the Irishman finished well to give his side the lead. Things didn’t look good for Hearts and it got worse just 3 minutes before half time. O’Halloran returned the favour as his through ball allowed Bob Mcbob to get 1-on-1 with the keeper and double the lead before the break. A dull second half saw no goals and Celtic claimed their 5th League Cup in as many years.

On Wednesday Gold Member played in a 3-1 win over Portsmouth, Andrew Billen played for Hibs as they lost 1-2 to Hearts and Celtic continued to dominate in the SPL with a 6-3 victory. Bob Mcbob chipped the keeper after 32 minutes to make it 3-1 and Padraig O’Halloran was slid in to make it 4-1 just before the break, far from being done O’Halloran popped up on the edge of the box and curled in a low effort which beat the keeper for the final of the 6 goals.

On Saturday Mark Cator closed up on Bob Mcbob as they battle in out for the drivers championship, Cator opened the scoring after just 2 minutes in a 3-2 loss to Derby but he is still some way off the leader with Mcbob playing on Sunday. Gold Member put the finishing touches on a wonderful derby win as Birmingham beat Aston Villa 4-1, Gold Member picked up the 4th goal with a headed effort in the 85th minute, Nicky played in a 0-0 draw with Man City. Sunderland came from a goal behind to beat Preston 1-3 mainly thanks to Brendan Petersen, there was a hint of offside about his first goal as he slotted past the keeper to equalise and there was a question mark over his second goal as well when he headed in to make it 1-3 but Petersen got the goals and Sunderland got the points. Everton had been locked in a 1-1 draw away at Hull for most of the game but much like Sunderland they had one mn to thank for their eventual victory, Loic Flamilson powered in a goal after 54 minutes to give his side the lead from 20yards, the Frenchman was then gifted his second goal to put any thoughts of a comeback to bed as a poor back pass found Flamilson instead of the keeper. Haowan was another player who grabbed a brace in another 3-1 victory, he headed in to double his sides lead before effectively ending the game before half time with a close range finish. Andrew Billen played in a 3-1 loss to St Mirren while Quick Nick played in a 3-1 win over Dortmund. On Sunday Mikael Schøler played as Schalke won 3-2 against Rostock to remain third in the Bundesliga. Five drivers played in a single game as Falkirk hosted Celtic in the SPL, Mark Webber flicked on at the near post from a corner to claim his 25th goal of the season to make it 0-2 to his side, Bob Mcbob showed some good skill and composure to make it 0-3 just two minutes before half time and Mark Webber chipped the keeper from 25 yards in first half injury time to make it 0-4. Arthur White, Alex Rodgers and Padraig O’Halloran were all involved but couldn’t score as the game ended at 0-4. Jack Smithston and Lewis Hamilton played for Fulham at White Hart Lane and it was the combination of the two that brought them level, Hamilton supplying the pass and Smithston getting the goal to make it 1-1. Smithston scored again just before half time with a quality goal from 18 yards to put his side ahead and then he went on to grab a hat-trick with a well placed effort in the second half and give his side a 1-3 win. James Knowles played on Monday night in a 4-1 loss to Hearts.

Going into the last lap the race very much resembled the drivers championship, Bob Mcbob looked to have the advantage with Mark Cator and to a lesser extent Mark Webber chasing down the leader.

Celtic played Hearts on Friday night and after Bob Mcbob had his shot saved Mark Webber poked home the rebound to give Celtic the lead 10 minutes before half time, Webber picked up a booking in the 1-1 draw. Then on Saturday Celtic were expected to play again, less than 24 hours after their draw with Hearts, Mark Webber came off the bench to grab a 90th minute goal in a 2-0 win over Dundee Utd which also involved Bob Mcbob. Also in Scotland Andrew Billen grabbed a goal the earn his side a 1-1 draw with Falkirk in a game which saw Alex Rodgers sent off for 2 bookable offences, James Knowles played in a 1-0 win over St Mirren. Mark Cator finished well from inside the box to give Southampton the lead and claim his 25th goal of the season as they beat Plymouth 3-0. Brendan Petersen played for Sunderland in a 2-2 draw with Blackburn and then things really got going, first of all in a 3-2 win for Fulham over Birmingham. Lewis Hamilton did well to control a cross before finishing well to make it 1-0 with the only goal before half time, less than 5 minutes after the break a good delivery from a free kick allowed Gold Member to get his head to the ball and level things up. Birmingham didn’t have much time to celebrate as less than 2 minutes later Lewis Hamilton was in again after Jack Smithston played him through and Hamilton restored the lead, Fulham didn’t spend long in front either though and from another free kick Gold Member picked up a rebound and equalised again. The action died down for a while before Lewis Hamilton repaid the favour and his good pass allowed Jack Smithston to round the keeper before slotting in the winner. If that game was exciting it was nothing compared to the next, Everton looked to be going in at half time 2-0 to the good but 2 minutes before the break Nicky got on the end of a cross and grabbed a goal. Leeds pushed for an equaliser in the second half and it came on the hour mark as a poor back pass found Nicky and he finished emphatically, Loic Flamilson played a nice one-two out on the wing before scoring from a tight angle to regain the lead for his side just 4 minutes later and the Frenchman headed in to double the lead 3 minutes after his first goal. Ten minutes later Nicky got his head on a cross for his hat-trick and to give his side hope again in a game that looked to be over, for the second time. But in the end Leeds just couldn’t find the net again and Loic Flamilson scored his third of the game in injury time from 18 yards as Everton hit them on the counter attack and secured the three points.

Driver of the Day - Bob Mcbob may have won the race by some way in the end but given the amount of games he played compared to everyone else he really would’ve been expected to, taking that into account and because I can be quite sentimental when I want to be, dotd goes to Loic Flamilson. It was great to see the former drivers champion back on the podium after all this time, a tremendous hat-trick on the last day of the month earning him 6 points and his first ever third place finish. Another special mention for Gold Member who sneaked into the last points place, getting him and his team off the ground but also meaning that for the first season ever, all 12 of the constructors have scored at least 1 point.

As far as the championships go both are still up for grabs, the constructors championship will require a Cator/Billen 1-2 finish in both races with Webber/Mcbob not scoring more than 2 points over the 2 races so I think it’s safe to say it’s looking like a third consecutive title for Webber/Mcbob. The drivers title is an interesting one, Mark Cator is refusing to go away and this season could be decided by whether Southampton achieve automatic promotion or they enter the play-offs. They have a break from football at the end of April in the SPL which should give Cator the advantage for the next race given that he should play more games. In the May race though Cator will hardly get to play a game unless Southampton reach the play-offs, in the case of them not doing so the advantage for that race goes to Bob Mcbob.

Race 9 - April

The race started on the Sunday, just a day after the end of the last race and April fools day, unfortunately the joke seemed to be on all of the drivers involved as Fuzzy Lightning, Mikael Schøler and Haowan all played in losses for their teams with Haowan also being booked.

There was also a booking on Tuesday night as Brendan Petersen picked up a yellow card after coming off the bench in a 2-1 loss to Man Utd, team mate Quick Nick played in the champions league as his side lost 0-4 to Real Madrid. On Wednesday night Rangers messed up a free kick but the mistake fooled the Hearts defence as well allowing Haowan an easy tap in as they won 0-2. Celtic travelled to the New Anfield in search of a good result and in the 94th minute Mark Webber struck from 35 yards to give his side a crucial away goal and a 0-1 win, the goal may have sounded spectacular but keep in mind the goalkeeper was some way out of his goal.

Before the action could get underway for the weekend Arthur White, after a whole host of contract offers decided he would leave Falkirk at the end of the season and move on to White Hart Lane and Tottenham Hotspur.

Brendan Petersen started the weekend on a high note, he cut in behind his defender before scoring from the edge of the box for his 20th goal of the season, even better for the Australian it was the winner in a 0-1 win over Reading in the FA Cup semi final so Petersen is off to Wembley. Mark Cator played for Southampton as they lost 4-3 to West Ham and despite losing guaranteed themselves at least a play off place. Quick Nick played for Werder Bremen in a 2-0 win over Stuttgart whilst Fuzzy Lightning played in a 2-2 draw with Celta. Andrew Billen did well to score from just outside the six yard box for Hibs to make the score 4-2 as they lost to Dundee Utd, Haowan played in a 2-1 win over Morton. A flick on from a free kick found the head of James Knowles and in turn his header found the back of the net to put his side 2-3 up and they eventually ran out 2-4 winners over Falkirk, Bob Mcbob scored at the near post after 21 minutes and it turned out to be enough to beat Motherwell 0-1 with Mark Webber and Padraig O’Halloran both playing. On Sunday Mikael Schøler picked up his 10th goal of the season after first a long shot and then the rebound were both saved, Schøler picked up the pieces to put his team ahead after just 8 minutes and they went on to beat Leverkusen 2-0.

Monday saw action the Premiership as Nicky played in a 0-0 draw, Ant FM08 fired low and across the keeper to score one of Newcastle’s 6 goals as they beat Hull 6-1, Jack Smithston headed in from a corner to put Fulham 1-0 up against Man Utd after 20 minutes, Smithston then found the back of the net again 5 minutes before the break to make it 2-1 after Man Utd had equalised. Lewis Hamilton and Mat Frith both played for the London side as a last ten minutes turn around saw them lose 2-3. Mark Cator played for Southampton as they drew 0-0 with Wigan.

On Wednesday Celtic welcomed Liverpool to Celtic Park and the Scots held the advantage with their away goal, Bob Mcbob and Padraig O’Halloran both played and the Irishman turned out to be the unlikely hero. Celtic’s lead had disappeared and they were trailing 1-2 which would see Liverpool go through on away goals, O’Halloran got the ball on the edge of the area before composing himself and smashing a left footed effort into the top corner and it was that goal that saw Celtic into the semi finals.

Loic Flamilson seems unable to settle wherever he goes and that appears to be the case at Everton as well, the Frenchman may have handed in a transfer request but he still managed a fantastic goal in a 3-1 loss to Chelsea, he poked the ball through the defenders legs before smashing in from just inside the box. Jack Smithston and Lewis Hamilton played in a 4-2 loss to Liverpool and Brendan Petersen played in a 0-1 loss to Arsenal. Mark Cator scored a very good curling effort from 18 yards to double the lead for Southampton as they eventually won 4-1 against QPR. Mikael Schøler played in a 1-0 loss to Dortmund and Quick Nick played in a 1-1 draw, Alex Rodgers, Arthur White and Haowan all played in a 2-1 win for Rangers. In the Scottish Cup semi final Padraig O’Halloran and James Knowles were both on target with good goals in an exciting game that ended 2-2 before Celtic went on to win 3-4 after extra time, Bob Mcbob also played in the game. On Sunday Fuzzy Lightning had a goal handed to him as a cutback left him an easy finish barely 2 minutes into the second half, the American’s goal earned his team a 1-1 draw with Recreativo. Nicky and Ant FM08 both played in a 1-0 win for Leeds over Newcastle.

On Tuesday Brendan Petersen played in a 4-2 win over Middlesbrough, Mikael Schøler absolutely hammered a low shot past the keeper after 12 minutes to give his side the lead, the keeper really didn’t stand a chance it was so powerful and Schalke went on to win 3-1. On Wednesday Andrew Billen fired a shot in at the near post to beat the keeper and claim a 1-1 draw for Hibs and grab his 10th goal of the season, Bob Mcbob and Mark Webbber played in a 1-3 win over Hearts but once again Padraig O’Halloran outshone them, he scored after 31 minutes to put Celtic 0-2 to the good and went on to claim man of the match. In the Premiership Loic Flamilson is putting himself out there and showing any potentially interested parties what he can do, he scored to level the score with Tottenham but Everton eventually lost 3-2. Nicky scored twice within the opening 20 minutes to put Leeds 2-0 up against Reading, the second half wasn’t even ten minutes old before Nicky had his hat-trick as he headed in from a corner and Leeds won 3-1.

Before the weekends action Mark Webber, who had been the subject of many transfer bids decided to join Tottenham at the end of the season for £9.5m plus clauses, he’ll join up with Arthur White next at White Hart Lane.

Webber may be leaving Celtic come the end of the season but he wasn’t leaving without his 30th goal of the season, he turned and powered home the only goal of the game as they won 1-0 against Aberdeen, Padraig O’Halloran also played. Haowan played for Rangers in a 1-2 win at Dundee Utd and Arthur White grabbed the first of six goals scored by Falkirk as they destroyed Hearts in a game that also involved Alex Rodgers. Fuzzy Lightning came off the bench to play for Barcelona in a 2-2 draw away at Valencia.

On Wednesday night Celtic welcomed Lyon to Celtic park in the 1st leg of their champions league semi final clash, it got off to a dream start for the Scots as a long through ball found Bob Mcbob who controlled well before finishing from 6 yards to put them in the lead, Padraig O'Halloran also played and Celtic ended the evening as 2-0 winners.

Loic Flamilson got his wish as he secured a summer move well before the start of the transfer window, he turned down Blackburn, Fiorentina and a new Everton deal to join Aston Villa for a cool £15.25m.

Newcastle were also in the semi finals of a European competition and Ant FM08 gave them the lead just past the half hour mark in only his 3 start in their run to the semis, the game against Porto ended 2-2 which handed the Portuguese side the advantage having scored 2 away goals.

We entered the final lap of the race with Mark Cator scoring a truly spectacular goal as he hit a first time shot from 30 yards which curled and dipped and curled some more before finding the top corner just a minute before half time to give his side a 2 goal advantage, Southampton eventually won 1-3 which saw them take second place with only one game to go. Nicky played for Leeds in a 0-1 win over Hull as they desperately fight relegation, with 2 games to go Leeds are 2 points from safety, Loic Flamilson also played in a 1-0 win this time over Man Utd. A deflected shot fell kindly to the feet of Brendan Petersen and he finished from six yards to give his side a 0-1 lead after 7 minutes at Villa Park, the home side equalised not long after and it wasn’t until the second half that Petersen put them back in the lead when a free kick was headed into his path and the Aussie gave his side the 3 points with another close range finish. On Sunday Lewis Hamilton, Jack Smithston and Mat Frith all played some part in a 0-1 loss to Preston and Ant FM08 played in a 2-1 win over Tottenham. Mikael Schøler played for Schalke as they lost 1-0 to Stuttgart and Marky Mark played in a 2-1 loss for Benfica who, despite the loss are sitting top of the league by two points.

Driver of the Day - A short race is often one of the most difficult to win and win Padraig O’Halloran did, taking Celtic to the Scottish Cup final and the brink of a Champions League final along the way. Brendan Petersen could have been sharing the 10 points with the Irishman but his booking saw him slip to second proving that a clean disciplinary record can be very important. The constructors race has been over for some but it was officially won following this race for a third consecutive year by the Webber/Mcbob team, the drivers championship is still up for grabs and going into May Bob Mcbob could potentially play in 6 games, Mark Cator on the other hand is looking at a maximum of 4 games but only one game if Southampton get automatically promoted instead of a playoff place. It’ll be nothing short of a miracle in my opinion if Mark Cator can walk away from this season with the drivers championship but stranger things have happened so don’t rule him out.

Getting from Falkirk at the end of the season will hopefully kick-start my career - do you think i will get games at tottemham?

Honestly I can't see you getting many games unless there are injuries, Spurs still have Berbatov who is currently partnered by Marco Borriello and Mark Webber is due to arrive over the summer as well.

Race 10 - May

The race started with the championship leader Bob Mcbob playing in the biggest game of his career, the champions league semi final 2nd leg in Lyon. Mcbob was absent from the score sheet and Celtic lost 2-1 but that single away goal was enough to see them reach the champions league final 3-2 on aggregate.

Saturday was by most counts one of little action in the SPL, Andrew Billen played in a 1-1 draw while Arthur White and Alex Rodgers played in a 0-0 draw. There was some excitement in the old firm derby though as Bob Mcbob beat his defender before driving towards goal and powering his shot into the top corner to make it 0-1 and take the race lead. Haowan levelled things up for Rangers though as he finished at the second attempt after his header had hit the post, Padraig O’Halloran and Mark Webber also played. Loic Flamilson fired a low, hard effort past the onrushing keeper to put Everton 0-1 in the Merseyside derby and it looked to have been enough to win them the game until an equaliser arrived 5 minutes from time. A knock down from a corner found Nicky with his back to goal, he turned and found the bottom corner to give his side the lead and eventually it was the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Blackburn, Leeds still sit 2 points from safety. Brendan Petersen came close to a race win last month and he continued his good form as he scored from a tight angle to put Sunderland 3-0 up with 54 minutes played, Lewis Hamilton had something to say about it though and he scored with 15 minutes left to put Fulham back in with a shout. The young Englishman scored again after 83 minutes, again from close range this time with the assist coming from Jack Smithston but that was all Fulham could muster and they lost 3-2, Mat Frith also played. Fuzzy Lightning played in a 3-3 draw for Barcelona and then in Germany Mikael Schøler rounded the keeper to score after 39 seconds and put his side in the lead before doubling the advantage 20 minutes later after the keeper saved his initial shot, Schalke claimed a 2-0 win and Schøler joined Lewis Hamilton out in front. On Sunday team mates Ant FM08 and Gold Member faced off as Birmingham drew 0-0 with Newcastle, Marky Mark played in a 4-1 win for Benfica and Quick Nick played as his side won 1-0, everyones eyes then turned to the final game in the Championship, Mark Cator fans would be desperately hoping their man had managed a goal or two but Southampton had lost to give him a better chance of winning the race. Wish number 1 wasn’t granted as despite playing Cator didn’t find the net, wish number 2 wasn’t granted either as Southampton came away with a 3-1 win and earned themselves automatic promotion, in doing so they handed the drivers championship to Bob Mcbob.

Mikael Schøler played on Tuesday night as Schalke drew 0-0 with Aachen, on Wednesday Quick Nick found the bottom corner 5 minutes after half time to give his side a 2-1 lead and they went on to beat Mainz 3-1.

Mikael Schøler was back in action and back on the score sheet on Saturday as he found the net from just inside the area to put his side 2 goals ahead and it turned out to be the winning goal as they won 2-1 against Frankfurt. In Scotland Andrew Billen played in a 0-0 draw, Haowan played in a 1-0 loss to Aberdeen and Bob Mcbob, Mark Webber, Padraig O’Halloran, Arthur White and Alex Rodgers all played in a 1-0 win for Celtic. On Sunday it was the final day of the Premiership and Loic Flamilson picked up a yellow card in his final game for Everton as they drew 0-0 with Preston, Nicky captained Leeds to a 1-2 loss against Tottenham which saw his side condemned to relegation. Brendan Petersen struck from a tight angle to put Sunderland 0-1 at half time but they fell apart in the second half and ended up losing 3-1 to Man City. Fulham smashed 6 goals past Middlesbrough, the first coming after just seven minutes when Jack Smithston finished well from about 8 yards. Smithston turned creator just past the 20 minute mark when his square pass allowed Lewis Hamilton to slot into an open goal, Hamilton put away a rebound just over 10 minutes later to take the lead of the race and Fulham went in at half time 4-1 up. Two more goals for Fulham in the second half and the final one came 9 minutes from time when Lewis Hamilton claimed his hat-trick and maybe the race win to go with it as his free kick from 18 yards beat the keeper.

Ant FM08 didn’t play on Wednesday night in the Uefa Cup final but he was on the bench as Newcastle lost 1-3 to Valencia.

Mikael Schøler kicked off the action for us once again on Saturday as he placed his shot in the bottom corner to help Schalke to a 2-2 draw with Werder Bremen and earn them a 3rd place finish in the Bundesliga. Andew Billen scored from 30 yards after 30 seconds as his deflected shot beat the keeper, Billen then rolled an effort past the keeper and into the far corner to make it 0-2 after less than 10 minutes as Hibernian beat St Mirren 1-2. Finally everyone could turn their attention to the FA Cup final between Tottenham and Sunderland although at half time the attention of most was starting to slip away as they went in at half time level at 0-0. Brendan Petersen livened things up though in the second half as he latched onto a long ball and scored 15 minutes after the break, Sunderland scored again 5 minutes later and then in the 89th minute Petersen’s pace once again got him in behind the defence and he scored a goal very similar to his first. Spurs piled forwards looking for a goal but in the 3rd minute of injury time another long ball coupled with Petersen’s pace could only mean one thing and that was a hat-trick for the Australian as he calmly chipped over the keeper as he dived at his feet. A truly remarkable performance from Petersen saw him take the race lead and an FA Cup winners medal to go with it. On Sunday Celtic rounded off yet another SPL win with a 1-4 victory over Dundee Utd, the title race has long been over but still, it was nice to go out with a win. Bob Mcbob is safe in the knowledge that the drivers championship is his and he celebrated that fact with a headed goal after 33 minutes before Padraig O’Halloran once again wreaked havoc upon his former club, he grabbed a brace in the second half with the goals coming 12 and 3 minutes from time, with full time came joy for Celtic as they had gone the entire league season without losing a game. Haowan played for Rangers as they won 2-0 and then Arthur White scored twice in the last 20 minutes to give Falkirk a 2-0 win over Aberdeen, White’s first goal came about following a knockdown from Alex Rodgers.

Wednesday was the Champions League final and Celtic faced La Liga winners Real Madrid, the daunting task was made slightly more appealing when Sergio Ramos was sent off after 9 minutes and even more so when Celtic took the lead after 18 minutes from the penalty spot. Just before the half hour mark Bob Mcbob was played in and he looked set to cap an amazing season with a goal in the final, as it was his shot was saved and Padraig O’Halloran picked up the rebound to put Celtic 2-0 up at half time. There was no fight back from Real and the game, which also involved Mark Webber ended 3-0 giving Celtic their third trophy for the season with a possible fourth coming their way at the weekend.

The Scottish Cup final took place on Saturday as Celtic looked to complete an amazing quadruple, the opposition were St Mirren. It turned out to be a bit of a joke final really, Padraig O’Halloran headed them into the lead after 7 minutes before doubling the lead with a close range finish 2 minutes later. O’Halloran headed in his hat-trick after 22 minutes to make the score 5-1 and he made it 6-1 with another header after 26 minutes. Two minutes later and O’Halloran grabbed his fifth of the game as he slid to convert a long shot that looked to be going wide and Celtic went 7-1 up, Bob Mbob would usually have been expected to pop up with a goal in such a high scoring game and he did just a minute before half time with a close range volley. With the score 8-1 at half time Celtic fans must have been dreaming of double figures while St Mirren fans were dreaming of supporting Morton, no goals came in the second 45 minutes though and Celtic claimed their 4th trophy in emphatic style to round of a historic season.

Driver of the Day - Two race wins in a row, a goal in the Champions League final and 5 goals in the Scottish Cup final, third place in the drivers championship, third place in the constructors championship, it has to be Padraig O’Halloran. The race looked to have been won by Brendan Petersen who deserves a mention for his hat-trick in the FA Cup final if nothing else but O’Halloran really stepped up in the very last lap to win comfortably in the end. And so ends another season with Celtic having the drivers and constructors title to add to their 4 trophies this season, Mark Cator gave Bob Mcbob a good run for his money this season and going into the next season there are two questions on everybody’s lips, can anybody beat Bob Mcbob? And can anybody dethrone the partnership of Webber/Mcbob?

Drivers Champion 07/08 - Loic Flamilson

Constructors Champions 07/08 - Villeneuve/Flamilson

Drivers Champion 08/09 - Loic Flamilson

Constructors Champions 08/09 Villeneuve/Flamilson

We won the CHampions League!!!! although I didn't do anything in that game, or all month for that matter, but I've still got a Champions League Winners medal!

I think I'ts a good time to move away from Celtic as Padraig is playing fantasticaly, and he's now taken my plae in the side. Whoopy, Which other strikers will I be competing against at Tottenham?

Berbatov, Marco Borriello, Stefan Kießling and Arthur White should be your main competition for a starting place.

Give us a go Bob Mcbob and how did I (Brendan Petersen) miss out on 1st place!

I was doing so well and even got Sunderland back into Europe only for Mr O'Halloran to come along and score 5 goals! 1 goal would have been nice and would have tied it, 2 goals would have edged him into the deserved lead, seeing as how well Celtic did, but 5 goals! That's just rubbing it in.
