tugboat
When playing a long career game where i only want to manage one club, do i set all leagues to playable or view only, and does it make a difference to the ammount of newgens coming through on a large data base and as many leagues as possible.. Scab
It has an effect. Amaroq has some great posts on this subject: http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/152955-How-to-get-the-best-possible-regens-in-FM10?p=3997870&viewfull=1#post3997870 http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/164850-how-do-view-only-leagues-work?p=4199062&viewfull=1#post4199062 http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/162055-match-detail-playable-leagues-question?p=4156105&viewfull=1#post4156105
SWaRFeGa
With "View only" nations, you'll find that only the top clubs have a full squad of newgens - whereas the smaller clubs in the same league will have only a handful, if any at all. Having the league as "Playable" will ensure a full compliment of players. Obviously you can't load up every league, so it's up to you to pick and choose the nations that are important to you. For myself: Playable - England - France - Germany - Italy - Holland (top division only) - Portugal (top division only) - Russia (top division only) - Scotland - Spain - Argentina (top division only) - Brazil (top division only) View Only - Belgium - Turkey - Ukraine - Serbia Also helps to retain players from certain nations - USA? Australia? African countries? Places that won't be covered by any leagues perhaps. Having said all this, FM12 might well be played very differently - as you can add and drop leagues as your season progresses. Check out the sticky threads for more reading on that.
