Welshace
they dont tend to do major boosts for the winter update.... but i'd certainly agree Rhodes will get a boost of some sort.... and possibly chamberlain.... not sure about frimpong though
coopie54
Can someone please explain what the -8 and -9 is about? does this mean their stats decrease by 8 or 9? or does this mean they are 8 out of 10 or 9 out of 10? i am assuming ability is marked out of 200 and so 160 is good but not great....?
Deano565
-8 means the player will be randomly given a PA of between 130-160 in game, -9 gives 150-180, -10 gives 170-200.

jeesh
Quick question. What if a player was -9. Assistant coach keeps on saying the players progress has stalled due to severe lack of experience. Can his PA become less than 150? Or does -9 guarantee a 150+? Secondly does PA change of players? For example at the beginning my scouts rate Luciano Figueroa pretty high (His PA is fairly good). But after 6 months the coaches rate him fairly good from quality player.
manreaction
I'd assume that your coach saying that about the player means that the player is becoming unlikely to reach his potential, because he's not getting enough game time. His PA won't change, but he just won't reach it. So PA doesn't change
elio j
His PA (Potential Ability) is guaranteed to be in the -9 range. His CA (Current Ability) is down to the training he receives. The PA of players does not change, but it is possible they do not reach their potential.

dan99
Robbie Fowler that high....? wtf? Isn't that his PA? If so, his CA will be much lower, he's old so he'll never reach it. His CA will probably never go up, just down. Rooney 184 to 183...huh? 1 point difference means **** all really what has lucas leiva done to deserve an increase? He was awesome in the first half of the season before getting injured. Best defensive midfielder in the league imo, tiny bit ahead of Parker & Tiote. waynehead
Lucas's PA raise is well deserved. Should have been around 170 imo, especially as Fellani had a PA of 172 comparing to Lucas's 162.

Deano565
Chicharito's CA is 156 which is entirely fair when you look at the strikers who have similar CAs. He's only young so a PA of 175 isn't unreasonable. Plus consider the way the stats are distributed, most of his CA points go towards stats like finishing, composure, off the ball, pace and acceleration, which perfectly reflects how he is a great striker but not necessarily a great technical player. If a player is -9, this means they have a random PA between a set amount, yes? but what is the difference between a player having a -9 or 182 PA? does it alter the rate that they improve or something? if a player has -9 PA then at the start of each save he has a fixed PA between 150 and 180. the difference between player X with -9 PA and player Y with 182 PA is that player X will have a different PA each save ( once 158, once 178 once 161 etc) and player Y will have the same 182 PA each save. the rate that they improve has nothing to do with this
