Adlain
Well, i have decided to try and make a true career out of this game, and as i find these thread the best way to learn about the game im going to try and post everything for you guys to read and maybe you my see something that you can find useful in your own game. First the settings, 16 Countries, 46 leagues, Large custom Database with UK & Ireland players loaded - should provide a decent game. EDIT - Worth noting, i am using Random Names as i have always enjoyed my games more without having RL prejudices good or bad against players in the game and this solves it neatly - also stops alot of the problems regarding good player Guides affecting my games, i tend to look at them as a way a gauging the good stats to look out for in particular playing roles although i do tend to primarily listen to my scouts. So, i setup my manager (Duel English and Scottish nationality & automatic Experience) and start unemployed, 3 months of kicking my heels later (and numerous job application inc Wrexham, Kettering and a number of German and Italian clubs) i finally land a job at: F.C. Treviso they are down on their luck, predicted 1st place at the start of the season in Serie C2/A, they find themselves 18th as i take the helm in November After only 2 Wins and 4 Draws in 11 Games sofar this season. Definatly not good enough. so armed with my shiny $1,700 p/w contract and a 400K Transfer kitty with 5k free in my 17K Wage budget i set about looking at where its all gone wrong. yea those fixtures dont make good reading So, i take a look at the squad, and tbh although the players they have are good quality - there is a lack of Right Sided players (only 1 RB and 1 MR) so a conventional 4-4-2 they where playing wasn't ideal. they do however have 2 good AMC`s, 2 MC`s, 2DMC`s, 2AMR and that got me thinking - that little used (by me atleast) Asymmetrical formation looks a good fit for this side, and could well tide me over untill Jan when i can get some signings in and by the looks of it i may be right, 6 Games into my reign and we are unbeaten with 4 wins and 2 draws while scoring 12 goals and conceding only 5. not bad considering they only scored 11 in my predecessors 11 Games (More to follow - i seem to have hit a Image limit.................) Adlain
Right, now that i have gotten past that image block (i diddnt know there was one, im sure i have seen posts with more than 4 images in them) my tactics as mentioned above are currently and this is my Squad i have an experienced GK, and 28y/old Striker coming in Jan for Free and a 21 y/old DMC/MC/R whom i have paid 230K for and have high hopes for although i wish my scouts would hurry up abit as they are the only decent ones they have unearthed sofar and it is getting close to crunch time transfer wise as we are now in December. Thats all i have for now, i will be updating as regularly as i can (full time work can put a real stopper in your gaming time i tell you) Please let me know if there is anything you want to know from my game or suggest a format changes to make this easier to read. -Adlain
psychonaut
Good luck. Seem to be doing not too bad with those tactics. Haven't seen a setup like that before, I've just got a 4-4-2 and a 5-4-1.
Adlain
Good luck. Seem to be doing not too bad with those tactics. Haven't seen a setup like that before, I've just got a 4-4-2 and a 5-4-1. Thanks Phychonaut, Yea i have never used this tactic before this game (in any FM iirc) but so far is seems to work as a 4-5-1 come 4-3-3. I find the DM is the key position here as most of my attacks start through him and he is also the one whom breaks up the opposing attacks.
AK22
Your form has picked up a bit now, after a bit of a shaky start. Interesting use of an asymmetrical formation too
Adlain
Right, Quick Update: the Jan Transfer window has Shut (its 6th Feb) and i have done all the business i can for the rest of the season. i have bought in 8 Players whom i feel will add some much needed strength in depth in my squad. Bevilacqua DM/MC/R £230K Beast of a DM, but also able to adequately cover both MC or MR when required, and at 21 should only get better. Alessandro Capasso GK Free Decent Keeper with the ability to step up eo the next level according to my scouts - 2x the player of my previous GK Agustn Dos Santos AML/ ST Free He is in his peak as a player at 28, Decent well rounded stats for both the AML and ST role. i will retrain him to allow for the AMR to be his second position as being right footed it will be a better fit imho. Daniele Barone GK Free On reflection far too expensive wages, but i didn't find Capasso until after i signed this fellow. will be decent enough backup and i expect his contract to not be renewed. I can already tell this will be my worst piece of business Franco Masi DC Free Decent Cover for my first Choice DC`s. Giuseppe Tripodi DC 8K First Choice "Stopper" DC. nothing spectacular but will do a job at this level. Andrea Puccinelli - D/WB/M/AM ® Free He covers all my Flanks adequately and is currently First Choice AMR despite his lack of passing. Romuald Valade DM 16K Backup DM in my Asymmetrical formation, main in my 4-5-1. hated the wage but the player had a good agent and could not get haggled down further. only signed a 6 month contract as a result and unless i can get him to take a wage cut in the future, he will only be here for the season. My Team: My formation is now fluid between the Asymmetrical formation, a 4-5-1 and a 4-4-2 as sometimes a convention formation is just plain better suited for the job. As for my form, we are kicking on now in the league, 3rd in the league, and there is a distinct possibility of at least a play-off if not an Automatic promotion this year if we keep this up. Not bad considering we where 18th when i took over in November (11 Games into the season). Heres hoping for the rest of the season. Adlain.
Adlain
Season 2011-2012 Review FC Treviso Italian Serie C2/A Yup, Despite losing that final game (i was not impressed with my team and let them know after the game!!) we finished second and have been promoted to Serie C1/A it was touch and go, and for most of the final game we were lying in 3rd place due to other results, but it was Alassandria Vs Mantova in the other clash of the day and with a 90th minute equalizer for Alassandria we snuck back into the 2nd spot we held before the days fixtures and finish the season looking forward to a nice long break rather than playoff mayhem. Final Stats: Serie C2/A: 2nd (Promoted) Season Summery Serie C Cup: Out before Arrival Finances: (-£600K) Wages: £21,424/ £20,663 (-£761) Yea, i can take some of the blame here, but i got promotion, so i dont feel too bad - and besides im only JUST above budget as i put my transfer kitty into it to balance the books. Av. Attendance: 3,315 Transfers Personally i signed 8 players for a total of £248K, i will need to move some one next season, but thats a discussion for then. Key Players Allessandro Capasso: only kept 1 clean sheet before he joined, he kept 9 in 18 Games @ 6.84 - nuf said. Agustin Dos Santos: a Frustrating player, 9 Goals in 19 was a good return, but im hoping for more next term Marcello Mengoni: Had a Fine season returning 13 Goals in 34 games @ 7.00 but at 33, 2* Rating and out of contract in the summer - i fear it will be his last for this club, Harsh but i feel i will be able to attract better next term. Gianluca Pesce: Brilliant season for this Left winger, 8 asst and 6 Goals in 37 Games @ 7.11. He is only 20 and with 4.5* CA and 5*PA i have high hopes for him. Offered new contract on improved Terms as he was one of the lowest paid players in the side and he felt he wasn't being rewarded fairly. Giuseppe Tripodi: Held the back line Superbly and at 32 i hope he has at least 1 more good season in him. Overall Best Eleven: the Wrong Formation, but overall it is correct. Fans Player of the Year: Daniele Accardi: 39 Games @ 7.17 3 Goals, 3 Assists, 5 MoM

Adlain
2012/13 Pre- Season Expectations Media: 7th Board Expectations: League: Respectable league Position (Lowest offered) Italian Cup: 2nd Qualifying Round Serie C Cup: Not importent. Transfers/ Wages Transfer Budget: £ 0 :yikes: Wages Budget: £19,489 Ok, so they want me to say in the league but give me no war-chest but they did slightly increase my wage budget. First task is looking at my current playing staff, and to be frank they are overpaid and under qualified - so i organised a boot camp for them............ yea i kicked out 30 players for a total cost of 400K compo, but it has allowed me to restructure my team into a better unit. So, i send for my scouts, and after going through their (rather Large) dossier of talent available i end up with the following 9 Players joining the ranks. Transfers In: Simone Cotroneo: Very Experienced CB, will become my 1st choice alongside Tripoli in the CB - Cover position. Johan Rodriguez: Back up RB Andrej Milic: Very promising Target Man, i am considering changing my formation to allow for 2 up front to accommodate him, but he has gotten injured and as such any thoughts will have to be on the back burner for now. Nahuel Paez: Experianced backup DMC/MC Mattia Bertasi: Quick as lightning ST, i have high hopes as he is a current Youth international for the ivory Coast and has a potential for Serie B according to my staff. Michele Rossoni: more Experience for my Midfield, in to replace my loanee of last season, a natural Ball wining Midfielder and i hope he will add some bite to my side. Andrea Graffagnino: I hate this guys contract, but his abilities will be good as backup to my main strikers, which is just as well as he has a after 30 games increase that i have no intention of triggering at this moment. Giuseppe Pazzaglia: Even More Experiance for my Midfield (im seeing a pattern here) he is a top qulity DM for this level and CM aswel. he will allow me to move Bevilacqua up into the centre and let him look after my back line. Daniele Folla one for the future, he is a natural Deep lying Playmaker and i see him a backup at the moment. Wages total: 21,106 p/w (1.61k over Budget) Personal Aims are to get my side safe in this league and make some plans for the future of this side. it is very much short term at the moment and i would like some long term plan. Esp as my star DMC/ MCR Bevilacqua is attrancting offers, Also my GK, AML and my AMR are also attracting intrest.
noikeee
I may boycott this thread due to a severe dislike of the Black Eyed Peas. On the other hand, italian football <3 Good start so far, impressive turnaround of the situation at Treviso. That Milic guy looks very good, I didn't have much success using target men in FM11 but hopefully things are different in FM12. Didn't someone here did a stint at Treviso a little while ago? Iacovone?

Jolanthustrel
Interesting to see someone else use the Asymmetrical formation. I found it good for when you have players who can play on both sides of the pitch switching it up through out the match. But I was playing with Everton, not a team in the lower Italian leagues. Hope you can stick with it, should work well when you get better players.
Adlain
F.C. Treviso 2012/2013 Mid Season Progress Report Overall, not too bad so far, we are clear of the Relegation play-offs but our form as been patchy at best, that 3 loss start to the season was not what i needed and with my injuries i have picked up during the season so far i am in desperate need of the Jan window to allow some fresh blood into this side. the biggest problem is my wage budget, or more importantly the lack thereof. I am nearly 2k over budget already and i have a Defender on the way with a 1k wage to add on top of that. i need to move some players on, but tbh i am going to struggle as the one i want shot of are old and/ or poor quality. i could get away with some contract cancellations, but with my finances at -600K that feels irresponsible. i have some real thinking to do this month. Key Players: Gianluca Pesce AML Leading goal scorer sofar this term with 7, alongside 6 asst he is ket to my attacking potential Agustn Dos Santos AMRL/ST Moved onto the wing this year and he has been a revelation, 6 Goals 7 Assts he has supplied most of Pesce's goals this term and has been a constant threat to defences. he has managed to get shin splints however and i have no time-scale for his return - this WILL be a problem as i have no fit cover for this position with Milic, my TM/ AMR also out injured. Bevilacqua DMC Moved up into the CM spot admirably and is even scoring goals. he is my dead ball specialist and bosses the midfield allowing my new DM to be a Deep Lying Play-maker and be the focal point for my attacks. Adlain
F.C. Treviso 2012/2013 End of Season Report Final League Standing: 5th in Serie C1/A Italian Cup: Q/F Round 3 Serie C Cup: Out in Round 3 Group C Well, that went better than i could Imagine at the half way point. I did end up clearing out some dead wood from my side and brought in afew players, inc 2 players on loan from Inter ( 1 2 ) and a superb DC for this Level and they made all the difference as we climbed from 12th to 5th and into the playoffs by seasons end. we did unfortunately fail in our playoff attempts, losing 3-1 on agg. but with some restructuring i am confident we can try and push again next season (if they don't cut my wage allowance that is) Fans Player of the Year: Gialuca Pesce (AML) 43 Games, 12 Goals, 8 Asst, 3MoM Please let me hold on to him for 1 more season, as if we get promotion i feel he will stay with us long term. Right, As for next year i have quite a few players that will leave this season due to expiring contracts - this is a good thing as none are my top players and hopefully this will leave me the room i need to manoeuvre this side into a true playoff side next term. Ideally i need some cover for my back-line with a quality CB thrown in as-well, my midfield is crying out for a new ball wining MC and i need some extra cover for my winger slots as Pesce is attracting alot of attention. a ST wouldn't go amiss, but i fear i will have to make do with what i have as i already have 5 natural strikers in my squad as it is and any more would be folly if i dont manage to shift one out aswell. Adlain
F.C. Treviso 2013/2014 Pre Season Report Board Expectations: Playoffs Transfers: In:7 Out: 6 (Screenshot) Wages: £22,614/ £20,215 Transfers In: Nana Boateng 21 y/old AMR/L CA: 3.5* PA: 4.5* On Loan from Fiorentina (Free: 0kp/w) Backup for both wings, cannot complain for no outlay and is hear for the full season. Michael Romano 30 y/old MC/ D/WB/M ® DMC M (L) CA: 2* PA 2* (Free: £800p/w until 2015) Versitile Ball Winning Midfielder who can cover a multitude of positions and has a decent engine. i dont expect fireworks from him but he will be solid enough as a backup player. Akotegnon Koudjo 24 y/old DM/ M © CA: 3.5* PA: 4* (Free: £800p/w until 2018) Useful Ball Winning Midfielder who can play ether centrally, just in-front the back 4 or just behind the strikers. he is a current international with Benin and as such i expect him to reach his potential and maybe even make a profit in a few seasons. Paolo Fabiano Rondina 24 y/old D ® CA: 3* PA: 4* (Free: £700p/w until 2015) Backup RB with the ability to play LB (Training that position from ineffectual) almost as good as my first choice RB and he is attracting attention from Serie B so i needed this fellow just in case. Samy Guerrini 24 y/old D (LC) CA: 4* PA: 4* (Free: £1.2K p/w until 2015) a solid DC and DL. he is now first choice alongside Miranda from last season and i hope these 2 with my GK will keep a fair few cleen sheets between them. Key Players: Gianluca Pesce 21 y/old AML CA: 4* PA: 4.5* Key Creative outlet, he is our current Fans Player of the Year and last seasons top goal scorer. He is attracting alot of attention from Serie B and i hope to keep him and get there this season with the whole team. Bevilacqua 22 y/old DM, M(RC) CA: 4* PA: 4.5* The rock in my midfield. he is capable of playing ether as Deep lying Play-maker or Anchor DMC or Deep lying/ Advanced Play-maker MC depending on the situation, i prefer him in his DLP DMC position in most occasions. I have built my side around this fellow and i know time is running out with him as his stats are such that it is highly likly a higher rep side will soon be willing to take a punt on him soon. like with Pesce, promotion will be req this year for me to keep hold of him i feel. Alessandro Capasso 27 y/old GK CA: 4.5* PA: 4.5* My Goalkeeper i signed in my first Transfer window has been a revelation since his arrival and is now entering his prime. rated a good Serie B GK i am surprised to have been able to keep hold of him, but thankful as he has won me matches on his own. Mattia Bertasi 20 y/old ST CA: 3* PA: 4.5* Joint 2nd top scorer Last season with 7 goals i am hoping for more this year between him and his striking colleague Andrea Graffagnino. He has the quality im sure in this league (rated as a leading star by my JA 16 Coach) and has been out with his countries U20 World Cup Squad scoring 3 goals so far so he cannot be that bad. One for the Future Daniele Folla 20 y/old MC CA: 1.5* PA: 4.5* Im trying to get this fellow to go out on loan, but in the mean time im working on his stamina, strength im not too woried about, but stamina is key in the MC position and if he can get that sorted out he can be a perfectly good Play-making MC. (1st team) Squad (Reserve) Squad Worth a note is that i have completly revamped my coaching setup this season. up until now i have had to cope with just my assistant, 1 fitness coach, 1 first team coach and a physio. that has now changed: that is now 8 coaches and 3 physios, alongside 4 scouts i now have the backroom i need to get somewhere. last season i had to go 3 months without a physio after mine was poached and i was unable to afford any of the applicants. It hurt enough for me to vow to change that this season and with making a 280K Profit last season i seized on the opportunity to pay the going rates and fill my backroom up. Right, so after all that restructuring i am now ready for the season. i have high hopes, the media have bigged us up as play-off contenders and i am hopeful of managing that myself. We have had a productive pre-season and are as ready as we can be for the new season - wish me luck

Thanks , it always felt like cheating the system abit using the names found in the GPTG forum - unfortunately you almost cannot help but use them if you play with real names i find - hence the randomisation in my games. it also make each game feel more unique imho. Adlain
F.C. Treviso 2013/2014 Mid Season Report Fixtures Form League Table Key Players: Akotegnon Koudjo: DM/MC (3.5*/4*) Ako has made a fine start to his career with us, and is proving to be an inspired signing. 3 Goals and 2 Assists @6.8 from my ball wining midfielder is more than i hoped for to start with, and if i switch away from the 4-4-2 i have adopted this season i may get even more from him in his favoured DM role, and at 24 y/old he has plenty of time to continue improving esp as he is a current international with him adding to his 15 caps at regular intervals. Augustin Dos Santos AM (RL) ST (3*/3*) my 30 y/old Striker come AMR has according to my coaches started to show the signs of decline, which is a shame as he has really hit his straps this season in regards to goals - 1 in every 2 games equating to 11 in 21 games sofar. Add to that he has 4 Assists he has been my top dog this season and i am loathed to have to think about replacing him. Conversly to Ako above, his current for is due to my formation switch to 2 up top, he has been liking well with his strike partners and wingers in his favoured AF (Attack) role and if his form continues he could be my first 20 goals in a season striker (Top sofar is 13 by Mengoni in my first season) Gianluca Pesce AML (4.5*/4.5*) My 21 y/old Left winger has preformed as hoped for in preseason. 7 Goals, 5 Assists in 23 Games @ 7.22 he is the tormentor of meny sides i face this season but with ever increasing media speculation i wonder for how long my Serie B rated player will remain with me at FC. Treviso. So, As you can see we have made a solid start to this campaign. I do however have some thinking to do during the upcoming Transfer window. While Dos Santos is currently scoring, my coachs have warned me he is in decline and as such i need a back-up plan if he decides to drop like a lead weight. Plan A is to promote ether Milic, Papalia or Graffagnino into the starting lineup alongside Bertasi, but that causes a problem as Papalia is a Terquartista by trade, which is fine but Graffagnino is a poacher as is Bertasi and none of the 3 have any real aerial presence. Milic, my 25y/old TM has the aerial presence, but lacks any eye for goal. I need a complete striker to replace Dos Santos - but they are not easy to find. My current Plan B is to revert to my 4-5-1, but if im honest - while that has alot of strengths (defensive and possession being 2 of them) i have rather enjoyed having 2 strikers on the pitch again and would prefer to have that remain the case. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Adlain
F.C. Treviso 2013/14 End of Season Report Competitions Serie C1/A: 2nd (Lost playoffs Semi final) Table | Position Graph Fixtures 1 | Fixtures 2 Serie C Cup: WINNERS Italian Cup: Second Round Season Summary Well, we have achieved what the board wanted, a play-off spot by seasons end, however our 2-1 loss to Foggia early in the season ended up costing us dear as it was that game that separated us from top spot and put them in the driving seat for the rest of the season and it was that one result that separated us come the end of it. Preseason started us up well enough, i managed to strengthen the side with 7 Joining us in the close season (4 Defenders, 1 Defensive Mid, a Winger on loan from Serie A and a Right sided Utility player) and our early season form was magnificent, 5 wins scoring 8 and conceding only 2. I was dreaming of a league domination at this stage, that was soon to end with only 3 wins in our next 8 and we lost our grip on the top spot, dropping as low as 4th in the process. Form found us again as the Transfer window re-opened for business. This window was massive for us because it let me get in Maximiliano Ferrari (DC) he may be slow, but boy can he read the game at this level, and he was a massive threat up top aswell, scoring 6 goals and with an av. of 7.47 he quickly became a rock in my defence. However, Despite this we did suffer with some patchy form in the run-in. in our last 11 games, we garnered 5 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses which while good enough to give us 2nd place overall, it was not sufficient to overtake Foggia who would go-on to win the league 5 pts ahead of us. So, the playoffs it was and i had high hopes - but those where quickly dashed when my captain DR was cruelly injured in our penultimate game followed by my star DM add to that i was drawn against a very much inform team Avellino and i was struggling, we picked up a credible 1-2 loss away from home but the wheels came off in the 2nd leg and we crashed out 1-4 on agg. We did win some silverware this season however, a strong showing in the Serie C Cup gave me my first trophy of my career, beating Gubbio 4-3 away in the first leg, and then routing them 4-0 at home to give us an agg score of 8-3 and the cup - Very satisfying. Financial Bank Balance: £32,479 ( - £100,065 on last season) Average Attendance: 4,863 Season Ticket Holders: 2,100 (iirc) Finances are not in good shape, the only reason we look remotly solvent is the board are injecting Cash into the club each year, and to be honest we need the promotion to get the team solvent again. Still, on the positive side we are geting better this year as last year we lost more, so there is light at the end of the tunnel. Our Av attendance is 65% of Capacity so while there is room for improvement, we are on average pulling in a decent crowd to our games. Squad Squad Overview Transfer Summary Team of the Year All Time Best Eleven Fan's Player of the Year: Gianluca Pesce My Player of the Year: Gianluca Pesce (7.30) Top Goalscorer: Gianluca Pesce (15 goals) Top League Goalscorer: Augustin Dos Santos (11 goals) As you can see, Pesce Dominated my end of season awards, but with stats like P44 G15 Asst13 Av.Rat7.30 and you can understand why. He is the creative force in this side, and God help us if he decides to leave because all the money in Arabia would not be enough for me to replace him. As for the squad itself, it showed itself to be horribly unbalanced over the course of the season, I lacked any real ML Cover, my Strikers SERIOUSLY need looking at as i lack a workable pairing imho and my best MR turned out to be my DMC Bevilacqua. I have signed Boatang on a perminant basis after his successful loan last term. as an AMRL he is only matched by Pesce but i am hoping with alittle training he will become more adept at the MR Role to free up Bevilacqua and allow him back into the heart of my midfield. My Defence and GK are areas i am happy with, i have adiquate cover in all areas in my Defence and although i may feel otherwise my coaches and fans all thing my backup GK, Lujan is of sufficient quality (my fans would have me play him over the GK of the Year Cappasso so my priority (after the Highlighted players in my squad pic leave as the end of their contracts is nigh) is to strengthen my Striking options with a well rounded ST, a backup Left midfielder is a must and afew extra body's to fill out the squad in-case of Injuries. Adlain
F.C. Treviso 2013/14 End of Season Report New Contract Wage: £2,000 per week | Contract Length: 2 years (2014-2016) Well, after much debating (and a Heavy Link to a Job) i decided to try for one last push into Serie B. This will be my last contract with Treviso unless i can manage this as the Club deserves Serie B football and if i cannot get this side out of this league by the end of my contract then it will be time to stand aside and let someone else try. While i am enjoying myself in the Italian leagues (no messy rules do help in that regard) i am finding myself yearning to return home to the UK and i will Strongly consider any concrete offer placed in my direction, I feel that i should be getting more attention than i have in recent time as i have a Regional Rep now (having won a promotion and a Cup) and a Job in League 1 and above shouldnt be out of my grasp in the near future. Board Expectations Serie C 1/A: Winners (Media: 3rd) Serie C Cup: not Important | Italian Cup: 2nd QF Round Season Ticket Holders: 2,200 (up 100) Transfer Budget: £6,290 | Wage Budget: £24,990 The board wants a Win, and i cannot blame them. while i don't have the largest budget in the league, the 25K wage is very decent and i hope sufficient to my needs - Italian players seem to be getting more and more Expensive. I a satisfied that they don't expect much i the cups, makes my life easier as i don't mind ignoring them on the whole and if by chance like last year we get to the latter stages i may pay abit more attention then. Squad/ Transfers My squad has shrunk slightly from last year, but i feel the quality has improved. Giorgio Maggi has Serie A potential according to my JPA 16 Scout (JCA 18 aswell btw) but with good pace and decent crossing i have high hopes he will justify his 2.2K p/w wages. Dupont is another Serie B DM into my side, i am blessed with 3 of them now but with Koudjo somewhat inj prone and Bevilacqua constantly linked elsewere it felt prudent to bring in come cover. Nana Boateng is back, and being retrained as a ML - seen as my long term replacement of Pesce and of Serie B Potential i have hopes he will blossom soon. Add to that he can play AML,MR and AMR and he will be a very good player for us. I am hoping Luciano Bonanno will fill the void left by Dos Santos. he was not my first choice, but he was poached by Serie B Cremonese before i could tie him down to a contract. At 19 and with Bags of potential he should have a bright future with us. Transfer Summary Key Signing: Giorgio Maggio (M(RC)/ AMR/ ST) Key Players: Gianluca Pesce (AML) Bevilacqua (DMC/ M (RC)) Sylver Dupont (DM/ M ©) Luciano Bonanno (ST/ AMR) Vicenzo Miranda (DC) Overall Spend: 0k/6,290 Wage Budget: £25,700/ 24,990 Tactic Review I am planning to use my 4-4-2 from last year. It was very successful in 90% of the matches we played, i have an Attacking 4-5-1 and a more defensive 4-2-2-2 (Below). I will be testing the new 4-2-2-2 in preseason to see how it fairs, if the results are favourable i may start with it in the new season to make use of my DMs in my squad. Well, given how you finished last season, a couple of key signings and I dont see why you shouldnt be able to win it Thanks i hope to make a strong showing this year, but as ever time will tell - its my striking options that worry me, i still lack that 15 - 20 goal a season man. DazRTaylor
having never dealt with that in FM (i avoided it like the plague in previous seasons) i am unsure as to the rules. Given your experience of it, could you tell me what it actually entails?? It's a nightmare. If someone is co-owned, it is for a set period, normally 1-2 years. At the end of that time, you both make an offer for the player and whomever makes the highest bid gets sole ownership with the bid money going to the losing clubs coffers. So, you and Milan co-own Zlatan Ibrahimovic (wishful thinking but stay with me!) and agree a 2 year period of co ownership (not sure who gets to play him during this time). At the end of this time, you both make a bid for him (You offer £20m and they offer £19m. So you get sole ownership with you paying Milan £20m). Adlain
F.C. Treviso 2014/15 Mid Season Report Absence Well, while it does seem that I have abandoned this game – I can assure you that I have not. My absence can be attributed to 3 things: Skyrim Big decision regarding the game Christmas Now, Point 2 will become clear later in this post, but lets just say for now I am back and I hope to start making some regular updates again. Season So Far League Table || League Form || Squad || Tactics To sum up we are doing well, we are comfortable at 2nd spot and look set to hold it until playoff season arrives. Im not happy – don’t get me wrong, the team is playing well, Bertasi is doing superbly well (P18 G13 A4) and with Di Maio being the surprise package in the heart of my defence there really is no reason to be upset but I feel we should be top…….. and I hate the playoffs, I always get that sinking feeling that my side will do something stupid and throw it away at the crucial moment. (See Monza and both Alto Adige games all 3 we should win every time but got 2 Draws and a Loss) We have, by some miracle managed to get through the window without attacting anything more than media speculation over my prize assets, and I have even managed to add to my squad (albit in November) in the form of a DLF Salvatore Marchisio whom have made a decent impact already and has really helped to link my attack and midfield – enough to realy make me like the Deep Lying Forward position a lot more that I thought possible. So, My squad is ready for the next half of the season, the board is again explain to me that I should really address the wages deficit I am building and then this happens: Now you can see the Big decision I eluded to earlier. At this point I have been getting alittle homesick tbh – I am enjoying myself in Italy but I want recognition back home, and have been on the lookout for jobs league 1 and higher to further that aim. Now one look at AFC Wimbledon’s Squad told me that if I was to take them up on this offer, I will have next to no time to buy anyone outright (or sell to raise funds for any purchaces) so I would be relying on the exsisting player base and any frees and loans I can con into the club. That said they are not adrift by anymeans and the league is wide open all the way to the playoffs, alittle form and we could get out (im dreaming of my start to my triviso career here) but realisticly survival is gettable. Boy am I tempted. Yea, I took the Job. Profile Triviso Career Stats: P139 W77 D34 L28 G233 A121 (+112) Win Ratio 55%. Adlain
A.F.C. Wimbledon 2014/15 Mid Season Report Squad || League Table || Fixtures 1 || Fixtures 2 || Tactics Board Expectations: League: Avoid Relegation (Not to be Judged this Season) Cups: JPT: Quarter Finals (Not to be Judged this Season) LC : Enjoy Participation (Not to be Judged this Season) FA : Third Round (Not to be Judged this Season) Wages: £23,911/£19.718 (Overspend of £4,193) Suffice to say, they are not asking much of me this season, and I am glad of that. We are in a hole and need to dig ourselves out of it. We are currently in 22nd position and looking good for the drop, my first job was too look over my squad……….. …… ... Yea, Italy is looking rather better already – my squad is thin, of poor quality and half dead through injury and suspention (insert Expletive of choice here). My key players are easy to spot; The GK Connor Weir Daley, DRC Jaakko Jarvinen and AMC Kieran Crompton are the standouts. DM, M(LC) Keith Griffiths and DM, M© Chris Brown are also worth a mention but the rest look decidedly Poor overall – A lot of work was ahead of me. It did however make seting a formation easy – an adapted Asymmetric 4-1-2-2-1 fitted the team well but the next thing I found out was both a blessing and a warning for the future: I HAD NO STAFF!!!!! Well, maybe that was a slight exaggeration but still, a lame Assistant manager, a poor scout and a dodgy Physio were not what I needed. Luckly for me, quite a number of my backroom staff left Triviso with me, and that allowed me to fill up the positions as required here. But for the future, I need to be more careful – I have gotten away with it this time, but I may not be able to attract a decent backroom staff in the future if I find myself in a similer position in the future. So, with that fixed, and my training regime set to the same as my Triviso one I set about improving my squad. My U18’s were culled bar 2, Persuaded Brown to renegotiate his contract to a lower wage and snaped up strikers Graffagnino (0k) and Milic (0K) from Treviso whom had gotten a new manager in quick time and transfer listed them. I did however bodge the Milic Transfer and he is coming at the end of the season. This annoyed me as it is the second time I have done this in this game – must pay more attention in the future. This does still leave me light, and with the window now closed I am looking at frees and emergency loans only when my board announces a link with Manchester United…………. Yea that will do nicely – a quick scouting trip into their reserves later and im sitting pretty on a batch of reports begging me to sign these players – and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Michalis Bounas (DL), Robin Argelier(AML, ST), Peter Geier (AML, ST) and Florian Rintelen (DMC, D/MC) all agreed to sign on 3 month loan deals!!! – now we are in buissness So, onwards ho to the end of Season Report………
Adlain
A.F.C. Wimbledon 2014/15 End of Season Report League Table || League Form || Squad || Fixtures 1 || Fixtures 2 || Final Positions: League: 13th (P46 W16 D12 L18 GD+0 60pts) League Cup: 1st Round FA Cup: 3rd Round Johnstone’s Paint Trophy: South Semi Final Well, All in all I feel that was a good result for me this season. I was out of the cups long before I arrived, so that made my job easier tbh – no extra fixtures to worry about and with the squad I had at my disposal Fitness was already an issue, the league form was very nice to watch but also a tad inconsistent (P20 W10 D4 L6 GD+11 34pts) but a 50% win ratio should always keep your side up in the end. The final standing does mask the fact however this is a VERY poor squad. My team was built around 4 loan signings that I made in quick time when I arrived, with only Graffagnino (ST) and Graham (GK) my sole perm transfers to be added to the squad and I doubt very much that I will get away with this tactic again. My signings from Man U saved this sides bacon this season but with over 10K of players leaving this summer I will have some scope to mould this squad into what I hope will be a safe mid table side. What I looking for next season is Balance. This side was very narrow with next to no quality width players, that will change next season as I hope to get this team (kicking and screaming if required) into a side capable of fielding a 4-4-2 AND a 4-5-1/ 4-3-3 as my Treviso side was – I found that flexibility enabled me to win games I should not have buy being able to change formation but not personnel mid game to counter ether an aggressive or standoff opponent. Financial Bank Balance: -£582,366 (+427,149 on last Year) Wages: £23,842/ £21,689 (£2,152 Overspend) Season Ticket Holders: 3,238 Well, we made a profit – but at what cost. I have cut spending at the club since my arrival, but I have inherited a dire situation. We have loans on our loans on our loans. Yep, you counted right we have 3 loans totalling £ 1,875,000 @ £9,700 per month. This club won’t be debt free until 2039!!! So ether I invest in some youth and hope to get lucky in the lottery and sell for big bucks or I need a plan B – Sensible Recrutment. Now I hate Plan B – it’s a pain to work with (Players always want more than there worth) and come with huge risks in regards to league placement – but I don’t think I have a choice at this time. My training facilities are Adequate, my youth is adequate but rented, but youth coaching is basic and so is recruitment. On the plus side, we had 9 sell outs in the league this year and with our av. Attendance in the 88% range, that does mask our poor size stadium (6,200 seat Capacity) although it is not the smallest it is not going to be sufficient for growth of any kind. This may become a hindrance in the future if not sorted before promotion. Squad Squad Overview || Tactics || Transfer Summery || Team of the Year || All time Best Eleven Fans Player of the Year: Chris Brown (6 Goals, 8 Asst. & 4 MoM @ 7.05av.) My Player of the Year: Chris Brown (6 Goals, 8 Asst. & 4 MoM @ 7.05av.) Top Goal Scorer: Jason Taylor (13 Goals @ 6.68av.) Top League Goal Scorer: Robin Argelier (13 Goals @ 7.28av.) While the team on the whole are poor, there have been some stand out players this term. Chris Brown top among them – as my BWM –S he is at the heart of my midfield and does the leg work for my more creative players around him. Yet with a return of 6 goals and 8 assists has shown he is no mug with the ball at his feet ether. Clearly my player of the year. Robin was a fine addition to my side scoring 13 goals in 17 games during his loan spell, and Peter Gier also chiped in with 1 goal and 9 assits from out wide. We also left our mark on these players as they left wishing us all the best and with AFC Wimbledon firmly planted on their Favoured Clubs list. As I eluded to earlier – we will be having a mass clear-out of the ranks during the summer. No fewer than 11 players are leaving in the summer, taking with them £11,315pw of wage demands, not to mention the £1040 per appearance fees as well. Only 5 where in my final squad of the season, (3 in the first 11) and I have 4 players lined up already to help fill the gaps. But still – this only leaves me with a squad of 16 so I will need some reinforcments still for next year – but that’s a story for later…………

Adlain
Yea, a bnit of threadnomancy, but it is my thread atleast . Sorry for the delay, i will attempt to keep this abit more updated in the future (i have atleast already completed the next season and will post that soon aswell A.F.C. Wimbledon 2015/16 End of Season Report League Table || Squad || Fixtures 1 || Fixtures 2 || Final Positions: League: 10th (P46 W16 D15 L15 GD+4 63pts) League Cup: 1st Round (Out 0-2 vs L Orient) FA Cup: 2nd Round Out (Out 1-2 vs L Orient) Johnstone’s Paint Trophy: South 1st Round (out on Pens vs Oxford) That went better than expected but ohh what could have been if my form was less patchy. With a massive shake up in the squad ( 7 players Leaving and 15!! Arriving) I had somewhat already abandoned my sensible spend idea from last season and through caution to the wind. My wage budget was set at 27k and I was spending close to 30K – Yea, this was not sustainable but I was riding high at the start of the season and tried to build on it with fresh impetus in the mid-season break, this didn’t works as you can see and I was left glad that I had at least used short term contracts on some of these players. Financial Bank Balance: -£1,355,964 (-773,598 on last Year) Wages: £30k/ £27k (£3k Overspend approx) Season Ticket Holders: 3,300 approx Last year I made a profit, this year…………. I didn’t. This just means I need to defiantly do 2 things next season: Lose the Fat from my squad: currently standing at 30 this is too big from my club to support. Granted 2 of these are loanees but still this needs to be addressed. Stick to a sensible wage budget: 30k is a no-no, 25k is more sustainable (and would save me in the region of 260K alone, not to mention the appearance fees!! Squad Squad Overview || Transfer Summery || Team of the Year || All time Best Eleven Fans Player of the Year: Mark Howe (11 Goals, 13 Asst, 4MoM @ 7.14av.) My Player of the Year: Andrej Milic (10 Goals, 3 Asst. & 2 MoM @ 6.91av.) Top Goal Scorer: Mark Howe (11 Goals @ 7.14av.) Top League Goal Scorer: Mark Howe (11 Goals @ 7.14av.) My player of the year may seem odd (low av for one) but tbh I felt this season from him vindicated my purchasing him from my old club, not to mention bringing him in there as well in the first place. He played 48 Games for me over 3 seasons at Treviso and scored a measly 5 goals in that time with only 1 assist to his name to boot – for a Target man that is simply not good enough so why on earth did I re-sign him!!, well he seemed out of place in Italy, there finesse seems to play better than the brute strength Milic brings to the table, however England fans have long loved the proper No 10 “Bullying Striker” and I see Milic as just that so I decided to risk it esp as he was going on a free, Knew English and had me down as his favoured staff. 33 Games and 10 goals later and it seems to have worked out and I was glad. Next season, the team needs a trim, and a quality boost if I am to avoid sliding down this league fast!! The league is filling up fast with Good sides I would expect to be further up the leagues (Wigan, Coventry, Sheff Utd, Doncaster etc) and I don’t want to get on a bad run as it could be all to easy to slip down in this league if im not carful. Oh, and I signed a 1 year Extention on £200 p/w less than I was on previously.
