Mafino
I've been promoted to Conference Premier as Vauxhall Motors and I know for a fact I have one, if not two players who should be playing for a League One team. The rest of the squad are quite decent. I've beaten Port Vale, who got promotion to League One (I know!) 3-0. I really didn't expect that. Should I see this as a sign of things to come or just a bad/good game for either side? How do I know the difference between luck and genuinely being better? johnhughthom
I find I win about half of my pre season friendlies against higher division teams, and I read nothing at all into them in terms of how the season is going to go.
red265
I am using droylsden, and have giant killed league one teams and drew Stoke in a 1-1. I don't read too much into them, but it is a useful indicator of your current strength~
ManUTactician247
I just really love the feeling of beating teams in a higher division, as Tamworth in the BSN I took Port Vale out of the FA Trophy, and almost beat Hereford and Exeter in pre-season but they got lucky. Jord @S
I don't look too much into it but it shows that your squad is strong enough to win those games so you should be beating the other teams in your division also.
Caius Joaquinum
Everton crushed my Cork City with a 0-9 in a pre-season friendly
Phantom147
Although I don't read into the results of my pre season games much, they are great for building a strong morale before the start of the season.
