carl stanny Posted October 26, 2011 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Hi All, Here is my super six tactic, name given due to my team Man City scoring six against Man Utd in the derby!! When you download the tactic it will actually be called 4-3-2-1 Counter Ajax as I created it on the demo with Ajax. I then bought the game and used the same tactic for my first ever save game using Bolton. This is my first tactic for FM12 but have done tactics for FM11 and FM10. My last tactic on FM11 was a counter tactic so have gone down the same route on FM12. I decided to test with Bolton for a challenge and it certainly was a very good first season considering I had no money and no wages to pay! I had to make do with two free signings who were only signed for backup and due to the small wages they wanted. Anyway onto the tactic. The team instructions are balanced, counter and more direct. The rest are set to default with no playmaker or targetman selected. The player settings are as follows, difficult to say the full stats needed as I had to make do with the squad I had. Although pace and acceleration are a MUST for the striker and the wingers. I tried Kevin Davies upfront but not much success so Ngog was my main man! GK = Goalkeeper / Defend = Usual stats for a keeper RB = Fullback / Auto = Tackling, Marking, Stamina, Workrate, Also pace would be a bonus DCR = Central Defender / Defend = Marking, Tackling, Heading, Jumping, Also pace + acceleration. (Knight only had 12 for pace but 14 for acceleration) DCL = Central Defender / Defend = Same stats as above. LB = Fullback / Auto = Same stats as RB. MR = Winger / Attack = Pace, Acceleration, Crossing, Flair, Stamina. MC = Deep Lying Playmaker / Defend = Tackling, Stamina, Workrate, Teamwork, Also passing would be good as he is a playmaker but Muamba only has 11 for passing and seemed to do quite well. ML = Winger / Attack = Same stats as RM. AM = Attacking Midfielder / Support = Off Ball, Passing, Finishing, Workrate. Pratley only has 12 for finishing but scored 14 goals overall. His passing is only 13 but got 11 asissts so just best stats you can get. AM = Attacking Midfielder / Support = Same stats as above. ST = Poacher / Attack = Acceleration, Pace, Finishing, Composure, Flair, Dribbling. Ngog got me 27 goals and 13 asissts. I managed to win the league cup, beating Fulham on pens so was very happy with that. I also finished 4th in the league which I think is a very good finish with the current Bolton team. I could have Champions league football now next season, just have to play the qualifier so fingers crossed I get through. I'm trying to develop my own tactic when I get the time, so I'm just wondering on the steps you too to decide on the formation and tweaking as you went... might help me! I created the tactic then watched the key highlights too see how it was doing. I then switched to commentry only once I had everything right. I tried a few formations and roles. I found that playing with the two AM helped create space for the poacher as defenders had to move out of position to stop the AM runs. Also poacher seems to be the best setting for the striker, tried a few different roles and settled on that one. In defence, I tried man marking but was giving away too many chances so switched back to zonal and tight marking. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Olympic winners. I beat Brazil who were in my group 1-0 I then beat Spain in the semi final 2-1 then beat Mexico in the final 2-0. Just look at the possession and chances created by my team. I was drawn against Sevilla but managed to win 3-0 at home and 1-0 away so very happy! I was given 13 million at the start of my second season. I spent 500k on Billy Sharp who is hardly a world beater but is doing well for me as Ngog is only just back from injury. I managed to get Bentley on loan as he was transfer listed. In the league I scored 110 goals and let in 23 so very good season.
