akaranzo Posted October 28, 2011 Share Posted October 28, 2011 I'm in my first season with Sunderland and there have been quite alot of sackings already Bolton - sacked Owen Coyle, hired Steve Bruce Chelsea - sacked Andre Villas-Boas, hired Louis Van Gaal Newcastle United - sacked Alan Pardew, hired Andre Villas-Boas West Bromwich Albion - sacked Roy Hodgson, hired Alan Pardew Queens Park Rangers - sacked Neil Warnock, hired Glenn Roeder also David Moyes in on the verge of being sacked by Everton. anyone else had this many manager changes in their first season? Just started February and so far: Blackburn - sacked Steve Kean, hired Paul Lambert Norwich - hired Mike Phelen to replace Lambert Newcastle - sacked Alan Pardew, hired Harry Redknapp Aston Villa - sacked Alex Mcleish, hired Tony Pulis Stoke - hired Alex Mcleish QPR - sacked Neil Warnock, hired Pardew Man City - sacked Roberto Mancini, hired Louis van Gaal Sunderland - sacked Steve Bruce, hired Mick McCarthy Wolves - hired Alan Shearer Phew, think that's it so far! kris0710 Posted October 29, 2011 Share Posted October 29, 2011 I posted on another thread that my first season 5 managers lost their jobs, 3 of which were from the teams who went down so it sounded reasonable to me, since then there seems to be manager changes on a weekly basis. A few were down to managers retiring, Ferguson/Redknapp etc. Was suprised to see Mick McCarthy sacked from Wolves at Christmas given they were 8th in Prem and almost the same number of points they had for the whole of the last season.
