History

Beginning

The world into which the 'Wolves' were born was a rather bleak one. In the city of Wolfsburg, which had been destroyed during the Second World War, there was little by the way of cultural activity. Hard work was the order of the day, as the residents of Wolfsburg attempted to build a new city from the crumbling ruins. Some of those citizens believed: "We need a sports club if we want a place to make use of the free time that we have."

German Championship 2009

"To play amongst the big boys and establish ourselves at the top". The plan was, in the not all too distant future, to have a word to say about the destination of the German championship title, but few saw the ambitious 'Wolves' as having much chance of over-taking the competition from Munich, Bremen or Schalke. In and around the Volkswagen Arena though, the target was set and after 34 breath-taking match days in the 2008/2009 season, the 'Wolfsburg Masterpiece' was finally complete! It all began in the summer of 2007 with the signing of two-time double winner Felix Magath, who had been ousted by Bayern Munich and took over VfL, guiding the club up the table after two seasons of struggling against relegation. The coaches physically draining training methods earned him the title 'Quälix' (derived from the German word for torture), but in his first season, Magath had already set a trend for the Green-Whites. Finishing fifth in the table was not only the best final position in the club’s history but also ensured VfL a European qualifying place.

At the very latest, on the 26th match day of the season, the rest of the league were sitting up and taking notice of VfL Wolfsburg, following their gala performance against the then title holders from Bayern Munich, which saw the Green-Whites take top spot in the table. Grafite’s stunning goal to make it 5-1 was beamed around the world and was later almost unanimously declared ‘Goal of the Year 2009’. There was a further tough challenge on the way to the title in the form of Werder Bremen, but again the 'Wolves' were up to the task. With a 5-1 win over Werder, VfL Wolfsburg secured the title and initiated a genuine football frenzy. All of the fans, the league and basically the whole of Germany were at the feet of VfL, who convinced the nation not just with their stunningly potent strike duo of Grafite and Edin Dzeko, but also with the inspiring manner in which they played football. Over 100,000 Green-White fans converged on the Wolfsburg Town-Hall to celebrate the championship win on the largest possible scale. 'German Champions 2009' – the next morning, the VfL fans had to pinch themselves once again as they awoke as the cream of German football.

Squad Overview

GOAL KEEPERS

One of the squad key players, which has been a integral part to the team success over the past 5 years. Has 2 years remaining on a hefty $50K per week salary, I recommend to sign a contract extension prior to the season start. - Recommendation - Quality Player 3.5

DEFENDERS

A strong area for the squad with recent additions such as Christian Trasch (Club Captain), Chris, Kyrgiakos Marco Russ & Patrick Ochs will add plenty of competition for places. The biggest draw back here is Simon Kjaer on loan to AS Roma with a $6,000,000 buy out clause. The only issue is that your defence are all over 30, so careful recruitment with 1 or 2 younger players will benefit the your team long term.

Marcel Schafer is all quality at left back, with the new signing Hassan Salihamidzic stepping in at right back or at his preferred right winger. Christian Trasch who is best suited in the midfield can also offer cover at right back.

Madlung & Chris would be my preferred pair at the back. But it is an area I will in my game bring some players in, resulting Kyrgiakos to settle for a back up role. I would suggest sign a natural right back for the squad such has Sime Vrsaljko would be a perfect fit.- Recommendation - Rafael Tolo $2.5M / Douglas $6.5M/ Sime Vrsaljko $2.9M

MIDFIELDERS

Another strong area of the squad with experience and quality among the group. The squad however does lack a genuine Left Sided Winger, but is capable of getting by without one if you had too. The midfield is anchored by your captain Christian Trasch with supporting cast of Josue, Japanese sensation Makoto Hasebe, Thomas Hitzlsperger and Jan Polak, and Thomas Kalenberg.

Above you have 3 quality players to work your midfield around, with a great support cast. I would look to add a more attacking player to this group to add some flair and back up to Kahlenberg - Recommendation - Christian Eriksen $10M

FORWARDS

Wolfsburg signed Croatian Target Man Srdjan Lakic on free transfer from Kaiserslautern, the forward brings a solid presence in the air up front. This will only compliment the other forwards in your squad of Patrick Helmes, new Swedish signing Rasmus Jonsson and Mario Manzukic. The strength of these four, is the versatility you have up front, as they are all different and of good quality.

Mario Mandzukic is the stand out player in this group along with Patrick Helmes. Rasmus Jonsson will need some time to develop, but looks like he will be a good player. Srjdan Lakic even though brought in on a free, his wages at $83K per week, you can get better value. - Recommendation - Look to sell Lakic and bring in a cheaper replacement and the end of the season.

YOUTH PLAYERS

The development program at Wolfsburg needs some investment to help the club progress. However there is one shinning light who is on the verge of breaking into the first team. Tolga Cigerci, a central midfielder who at 19 needs games to help aid his development.

Will not start every game, but make sure he features as a substitution at the very least. When the game permits bring him on as a late sub and start in the occasional winnable home game. - Recommendation - Potential Key Member 4.5 stars

Marwin Hitz GK – Back up to Benaglio. (2.5)

Sotiris Kyrgiakos DC – New arrival from Liverpool, very reliable Defender, but a slow side (3.5)

Alexander Madlung DC – Tall solid defender who still has something to offer. (3)

Chris DC – Signed on a 12 month deal at 32, will offer some short term benefits, but is declining. (2.5)

Macro Russ DC – Signed from relegated Frankfurt will be useful squad player. (3)

Christian Trasch D/WB (RL), MC – He is that impressive, that he has been installed as club Captain in his first year at the club. (4)

Hrvoje Cale D /WB (RL) – Will offer cover on either side at the back, only a back up player at best. (2)

Jan Polak MC – Another solid midfielder in this group, still has lot too offer with solid all round stats a handy squad player. (3)

Thomas Kahlenberg AMC / M(LC) AM (L) – A dependable creative midfielder. Starts of injured for 3 months. But a well sort after player. (3)

Ku Ja-Cheol MC / AMC – At 22, this player could be the creative piece you need or could be a flop. But he is highly rated. (4)

Ashkan Dejagah AMR / AM (L) – Technically sound, lacks any teamwork and along with other poor mental stats could be a transfer candidate. (3)

Rasmus Jonsson Striker / AM ® – Potentially could be a very good player for the club. Has time on his side and will need to wait for an opportunity, but I don’t think he will have to wait that long. (3.5)

Srdjan Lakic Striker – Is a good player with extremely high wages, I he worth it? At best he has the season to convince. (3)

Mario Mandzukic Striker - Has a physical presence and good all round attributes to be a club legend. A key player in the squad and at 25 will build your attack around. Quality (3.5)

Patrick Helmes Stiker – Lethal! One word up front. Not a team player, just knows how to finish off opportunities. 18 Finishing, 16 Composure, anticipation & concentration- Very good (3.4)

Sime Vrsaljko (19) Defender/Wing Back Right / DM, M © (Dinamo) - Well known, well sort after at the start of the game. For $2.9M well worth trying to pick him up and is well suit to Wolfsburg team along with other National players within the Team. - Potential Key Player (4.5 Stars)

Christian Eriksen (19) Attacking Midfielder (Ajax) - Highly Rated within the forums, able to retrained to play as a Attacking Winger on the left (best Position IMO) Can be brought for $10M which is a bargin in the first year. Potential Key Player (4.5 Stars)

FORMATIONS

Wolfsburg under Felix Magath has generally played a 442 but has occasionally opted for a 4231. Playing a 442 your only draw back is who to play on the left, Hitzlsperger and Jonsson have been used IRL of late, but the squad is lacking a out & out Left Winger for this formation. If you opt for the latter 4231, I think you are best utilising the depth in your midfield group, but the outside left side player will still be problem area.

You could look to play a 4132, 4312 or a 433, has you squad can cater for all those positions quite easily and exploit the flanks with attacking Full Backs. This again highlights the strength & versatilely of the squad.

My thoughts are that the 442 & 4231 are best suited to maximise the quality players in their best positions. Okay on the left will be a development area, but with a target signing in that area or as it is, Jonsson, Kahlenberg or Mandzukic can cover the position and still be brilliant.

CLUB DEVELOPMENT

With Wolfsburg it is important you have a plan to how you will develop the club before you start. The club is very financially sound, but needs investment into its facilities over time. My priority would be increasing your youth training, networking with small investments into recruiting under 18 players for your youth team. In the short term, you will have initial funds to target transfers, but you will need to spend wisely to maximise your returns. If you can buy development players and sell them after a season or 2 for a nice profit, it will allow you to keep and target the 4-5 Key players you will need to continue to challenge within the league and in continental competitions.

The clubs coaching and scouting staff needs to be reviewed totally. Bringing in coaching staff not only to aid the first team, but at least 2 youth coaches to develop what youth players you have would be valuable. Scouting staff bar one all can go and the club's stature can easily attract high quality scouts. This is an area you will need to use all staff allocations and invest time into scouting for youth prospects and re-salable development players.

The window of opportunity is now with this group of players. Smart signings will have you challenging for the title and living the Fairy Tale.

Having played through to the end of the transfer window, we have gone 4 games unbeaten and not conceded a goal yet and sit atop of the Bundesliga.

Formation & Tactics

Even though my opening posts look to use a 442 or 4231 as Wolfsburg use IRL, the versatility & the strength of the squad favours a more central formation with some little tweaks to tactics to really capitalise on the strengths of your players.

I have decided to go with a 4312 tactic for the following reasons -

• Utilising 2 of your best forwards in the majority of games (Helmes & Mandzukic)
  
• The squad has a strong attacking Midfielders in Kalhenberg (injured 3 months) and up and coming Ja-Cheol.
  
• Playing 3 strong creative midfielders centrally, you can really boss the middle of the park around. Looking at Trasch and Jouse ven though their natural position is at DMC, they are still rated highly in a central midfield role.
  
• Full backs you start with are very attacking in Schafer (best in the League) and Ochs, with back in Salihamidzic and Cale providing cover if needed.
  

Transfers

Below is my big spending transfers in for the first season, with payments over 48 months. I will explain the purpose behind each signing and the relevance to the squad and future development.

Douglas - DC - As mention in the OP, the squad has an ageing group here in defence and will lose Kjaer sometime over the course of the season, so Dougles is a like for like replacement, pre-empting this departure.

Lucas Andersen -AMC - Playing with a AMC, this a signing for the future 4-5 years season.

Christian Eriksen- AMC - Kalhenberg is 29 and has 2 seasons left as a possible starter, I expect Eriksen to make this position as his own, with Kalenberg and Ja-Cheol to offer back up.

Rafael Toloi - DC - With an ageing defence, Toloi can rotate for the next season or 2 through the back and replace any retirements.

Sime Vrasljko - DRL - This player really suits my formation and tactics and can offer good cover for both full backs.

Emre Can - MC - Future development midfield to end up replacing Polak.

Oliver Buff - MC - Future Development player.

Romario - DRL - Will join the squad in Jan, a 18 year explosive full back (insurance for Vrasljiko in case i lose him to a bigger club)

Ivancic - ST - Will join in the squad inJan, another young Croatian to fit in with other Nationals in the squad. The squad lacks young quality forwards.

FEBRUARY 2011 (season 1)

My form has been outstanding thus far putting me 7 points clear on top. I have a Home Quarter Final in the German Cup against Schalke, which I am hoping to make it through and onwards to the Final. Back to the league, Helmes and Mandzukic have both chipped in with 12 and 11 goals respectively, with Eriksen leading the league in assists with 13 and Helmes with 7.

The table looks like this below, I think the big surprise is Dortmund struggle in the bottom half, who I have at home next match.

SEASON 2011 / 2012 OVERVIEW

We were able to maintain our early season form after the Christmas break and clinch the title with 4 games remaining over Bayern Munich. HSV, Dortmund and Werder Bremen all had poor seasons by their own standards and finished in the bottom half of the table.

German Cup - Was beaten well by Bayern 3 - 0.

SEPTEMBER 2012 (season 2)

I am staying with the same formation and tactics as the season before. A 4312 counter ( I have pre-made 2 sets of custom shouts)

Transfers

With all my loanees returning from their clubs, I was very surprised to say the least that Roma did not make a move for Simon Kjaer? The season prior transfers were based on losing Kjaer to Roma, hence the 2 x Defensive Backs signed in Douglas and Toloi. However my gain. This meant that Chris was released from his contract. Kyrgoakos was shipped out cheaply.

As the previous season I will explain the transfers -

Kyrgiakos DC - Moved on cheaply to allow room for the returning Kjaer.

Kahlenberg AMC - Didnt see enough first team football as expected, due to the form of Eriksen.

Pekarik DR - 4th Choice full back and would not get an opportunity.

Klich MC - Didnt have the quality to break into the team.

Hrvoje DL - Made a few appearances, but better players in front of him.

Jonsson ST - 18 appearances for 6 goals, with the arrival of Kravets, dropped down the pecking order.

Polak MC - A well served back up player and with younger and better talent emerging would struggle.

Caiuby ST - Returned from loan and would not feature.

Hitz GK - Wanted first team football.

In

Kravets ST - signed on a free at the end of the season. Blistering pace and nice finishing.

Yesil ST - 18 yr old spotted on trial at Man Utd, and signed under their noses. (very happy with this capture 4 stars)

Hasan MC, AMR - 15 yr old 4 stars, bargain price at $250K

Kovacic AMC - My marquee signing of the season at $7M 18yrs old already looking quality - to rotate with Eriksen.

Kessler GK - Promising goal keeper to support Benaglio.

Currently playing 4-1-2-1-2 with Hoffenheim and I was considering moving my DMC into CM this season but wanted to see what your instructions were and compare them to my own. How do your FBs play too?

The formation I am using is as above. I start of every game with "counter", and make changes as needed from there. I have created a couple of "shouts", Attacking, Defending & Wide Play. But I generally like attacking full backs. My Full backs are set to get forward, hug line & cross from by-line.

In regards to my midfield, they are as above, not special instructions.

No I dont use a target man, as Mandzukic is usually on support.

Just away on holidays for a few days. I am currently into my third season, I will post some Screen shots when I get back in a few days. But I finished 4th in my second season, and reached the Quarter Finals of the Euro Cup after getting knock out of the CL in the group stage. Currently about 10 games into my third season and sitting back atop of the league.

SEASON 2012 / 2013 Season 2

As you may notice I am trying to balance the books and not drain to much from my bank balance. So its a sell before you can buy policy, but I will go out on a limb if I identify a must sign

SEASON 2013 / 2014

Really challenged Bayern this season, but lost a couple of games that I could have picked up points. On the Champion League front, I had a good run until I was knocked out of by Real Madrid in the QF 4 - 2, Real went on to win the Champions League Cup.

Once again the focus is on balancing the books in regards to transfers. Picked up Sturridge on a free from Chelsea who has fitted into the team very feel, becoming one of the clubs top scorers. Fabio was a margin left back at $3.1M and Petrovic a solid player at $4M. Was able to offload some big name players who were on big wages, Deigo (100K p/w) and Helmes (55k p.) helped free up some space in the salary.

SEASON 2014 / 2015

A terrific year holding off a fast finishing FC Bayern to clinch our second title under my regin. In addition claiming our first European Champions Cup with a 3 -1 win of Olympique Lyonnais.

Transfers

The seasons major signing was for Lacina Traore coming in for $12.5M, extravagant signing for Wolfsburg in recent times. Hot prospect full back Nikola Barisic from Dinamo was tautly tipped as the one to watch fro the future. Experienced German midfielder Marc Hensel was brought in on a free as back up to the midfield.

SEASON 2015 / 2016

Wolfsburg go back to back for the German League Title out pacing rivals FC Bayern & Dortmund to clinch it by a single point on the last match day of the season. In the Champions League, we were knocked out in the Qtr Final by Olympique Marseille 3 nil over both legs.

Transfers

With Daniel Sturridge moved on for a $9M profit, Seydou Doumbia came in for a record transfer fee of $25M to add some much needed case up front. Henriksen was acquired at a margin of $4M, with earlier bids of $7.5M rejected by Wigan. Kherdira was also added at $4.8M from Real Madrid in a knocked price.

Club Favourite Mario Mandzukic was sent off to Juventus for $6.5M with excessive wage demands, didn't fit into the salary structure at the club.

SEASON 2016 / 2017

Transfers

Looking to slightly rebuild the team during the summer, with long time players Hitzlsperger & Makoto departing the club as their contracts have run out. Other notable players were also moved on such as Petrovic & Fabio who wanted increase wages above their stature. Lacina Traore was also moved on for $8M as patience ran out with him.

Incoming -

Albin Ekdal from Ajax for $6M a adequate replacement for Petrovic.

Gianni Bruno from LISC for $2.2M could become a margin player as his pre-season from looks like gold, Although a back up player to Doumbia.

Tomas Necid from CSKA for $7.5M, pretty much a straight swap for Traore. But theres a lot more quality about him.

Terzi Ferth - brought in a free from Danish club Lynby. At 20 looks very good, but is unlikely to break into the team in his first year, so he has been sent back to Brondy for a seasons loan.

it has been quite a while since someone posted in here, so I'm gonna bump this thread up.

I've been looking at Wolfsburg as I think they're an interesting looking save. I had a few questions that I hope someone can answer.

have Wolfsburg been busy in January IRL? as someone who doesn't watch or follow the Bundesliga too close, I'm really not sure what has happened in terms of Wolfsburg signing or selling anyone.

my reason for asking this is that if they haven't done much business I was going to start a save with Wolfsburg now. if they have done any business I'll wait for the latest patch first.

also, how do you rate Wolfsburg's chances of bringing in German talents? I want to have a squad that has a strong focus on German players with a few Asian talents like Ku and Hasebe. I'd love to focus the team around Ku and Hasebe at MC in a 4-3-3 with Trasche in behind them. I'd then look to bring in Germans to strengthen the squad, but I'm unsure of their likelihood of signing Germans as I know that it could be difficult to bring in domestic players when Wolfsburg are a big team.

basically, do I have much chance of signing Germans with Wolfsburg and IRL, have Wolfsburg been busy in the transfer window? if they have, is it worth waiting for the latest patch?

I think they have been quite busy, signed 5 or 6 players including ricardo Rodriguez from Zurich and a few other players that I don't know anything about. I'm pretty sure you'd be able to sign young Germans without much trouble.

It looks like the club IRL has added some Wingers to the squad.

comprehensive list there shame that very few of them are Germans, but that's not too important.

I'm waiting until the patch before beginning a save with Wolfsburg. Looking forard to it a lot.

Awesome post mate, I am currently in the 3rd season managing Wolfsburg and using your formation, who do you suggest for the midfield spots and have you had any luck with Cigerci? I am thinking of giving him a run in the first team this season.

Anyone still playing with the original database? I started a save recently and just wondering what people did with Diego in the 2nd season. I've already replaced him, so I'm hoping to get a good bit of money for him.

Going on as Wolfie manager from nov 2012 and until I've won the German league. Started off as Inter manager, won the Italian double and resigned, went on holliday with applying for high division teams, and Wolfsburg came along- aim now is the win the league and then move on to another league

Wolfsburg were in 5th position when I took over, hoping to give Bayern a run for the title when my new signing joins in January - 6 points after atm, might be a little to much to catch, but then there is always next season, with my team hopefully jelled in by then

Mission Statement

Ranked Number One Club in Germany - Ranked Number One Coefficient Club in Europe

Summary -

To achieve the above the club needs to run at sustainable profit levels per season. With a 30,000 stadium capcity in a small catchment area of Germany, extra revenue will be critical to the success of the club. Revenue needs to be from alternative sources other than traditional gate receipts as compared to league rivals of Bayern Munich, Schalke, Leverkusen, & Dortmund, with host of others who have Stadiums over the 40,000 capacity.

The most logical addition to revenue would be to qualify for Champions League with its attractive TV Revenue and additional matches to help boost the clubs coffers, but this will need to be sustain over the long term. The reality is that if the club fails to reach this competition, it would severely impact the clubs finances the following season, with the most likely out come that club runs at a loss.

To move forward, the clubs financial model needs to be refocused on multiple levels and not be dependant on one revenue stream for survival. We need restructure our wage model and transfer policy of the past regime, and look for more value in the players we attract to the club. The club supporters will need to adapt to this model as the club adopts return on investment approach to player transfers as this will become a future source of income.

Transfer Policy -

The transfer policy in the mainstay is to buy cheap and sell for the maximum profit, despite squad status. This requires a diligent approach to the transfer market and to the scouting process - Constantly tracking targets that fit into the squad requirements as well as wage structure.

Players are identified in the following ways - 1) Will the player be serviceable to the squad. 2) is the player saleable after one season. 3) Is the player under 26, If the answer is yes, yes & yes, We look at the cheapest possible way of acquiring them, usually out of contract or unsettling them, of if team is relegated.

Selling players is vital to the clubs financial success, for the reasons outlined above. Its a constant process with high wage earners or players with high wages demands are cashed in upon and this allows for the next player to evolve and to develop into the first team.

Might start a save with Wolfsburg in a few days. I am currently playing with OB in Denmark but I have loaded too many players and it is just too slow to process everything. I did want to start at a low team in Denmark and then build myself up for bigger jobs but Wolfsburg looks like a good challenge, plus then still have a whole host of higher rated clubs/divisions to choose from should I not wish to carry on with them.

Bundesliga - With one of the leagues best defensive records, we were not able to put away few sides in the closing stages of the season. This left us 4 points a drift from the title, as a 2-1 loss to Schalke and 2 all draw with rival Hannover saw Dortmund leap frog over us with 2 games to go.

Champions League - After facing a tough group, we were knocked out, but bounced back to win the Europe League for the second year in a row.

Financial Performance / Transfers

New Signings -

Christian Eriksen $3.7M - As per our transfer policy I have been tracking Eriksen for 3 seasons. I managed to sign him a snap price, as he had a minimum release clause in his contract. Can play centrally or in a Attacking Midfield role. Will provide excellent competition for Wellington Nem, whom missed 80% of least season through injury.

Stefan Savic $2.3M - Was transfer listed. I had already loaned out my 2 young Defenders who are 4.5 star rated to gain first team experience. Another tidy bit of business.

Federico Santander - Free. Scouted him during my first season and have been patiently waiting for his contract to wind down as it did, I ended up signing him for a free. A wonderful talent.

The completion of season 2017, saw us achieve the first part of our "Mission Statement" as the number one ranked club in Germany. We once again won the Bundesliga for the second time in 3 seasons and since taking over the reign we have finished 5th, 2nd, 3rd, 1st, 2nd, & 1st. Last season we won our first Champions League Title after being Runner's Up in 2015.

Financial Performance/Transfers

Transfer Updates -

The most notable player to depart was outstanding Goal Keeper Tim Krul, whom I brought for $4.9M and sold to Tottenham for $17M cash up front deal. Other players to depart were exciting forward Santander who left for $6.5M Cash, who I signed for a Free.

Coming into the side, were Chelsea's want away Forward Romelu Lukaku who was signed on a free Transfer, and I brought in German Midfielder Mesut Ozil on loan with a $10M buy out fee. I eventually tried to secure him for $5.5M but could not negotiate appropriate wage structure, as he wanted in excess of $100K per week.

Progression on Track

As below we are now tracking as the 4th overall ranked club by the co-effecients, with a good run in the next season we may be able to rise another spot.

Goal Keepers

Branescu - Orginally brought for $1M from Juventus has been developing nicely, with a loan spell at Napoli, he is now classed as a Home Grown player and started a career high of 15 matches last season.

Baumann - Was secured on a Free 2 seasons ago from Freiburg and was tracked by my scouting network for 3 seasons. He will sadly be departing shortly as I have accepted bids of $10M for him. I have brought in fellow German Keeper Marc-Andre her Stegen for $6.5M.

Fabry - Another player coming in on a Free from Banik Ostrava, spent last season on loan at Benfica. He is currently list for loan, but may end up staying at the club and competing for starting spot.

Defenders

Prestia - - Brought from Palermo for a bargin at $1.4M is now developing into class defender. Even though not a first choice yet, but picked up 25 starts last season.

Savic - Stolen from Man City at $2.4M, He is about to be World Class. He has just had his best season and is wanted by a host of clubs.

Kjaer - After a years loan at Roma, he has settled back at the club and is regarded as a Key Player.

Boquita - A young Brazilian Centre Back (REGEN) at 19, whom I picked up from Vasco for $750K, started 9 games last season and has stats very simliar to Prestia. Will likely develop further this season.

Wide Players/Midfield

Romario - Brought in for $4M as a cover for Vrsaljko, as he was about to be sold for $23M, thankfully the sale didn't materialise.

Vrsaljko -A first season buy at $3M, and now becoming a very good player. But would have sold him for $23M.

Rodriguez- - One of the original players at the club, now a Home Grown player.

Fernando - Transfer listed at $1.1M, was a no brainer and now Captain of the club

Felipe Anderson - - At $5.2M a big buy in my first year, but now a Home grown player and getting better.

Taboni - A $3.1M buy from Roma, who is just class at 21. He is a must hold player currently.

Wellington Nem - - $3.5M from Fluminense, and is such a good squad player. Covered up front at times last season.

Eriksen - Another bargin buy at $3.7M, 2 years of tracking him, became unsettled and I was able to snap him up.

Forwards

Hermann - A $3.3M buy from a relegated Gladbach. He is such an underrated player, can play anywhere up front, I tend to use him as a Forward(Poacher)

Lukaku - A free signing from Chelsea, now worth $20M and coming into his prime.

Fierro - My most expensive signing at $10M, but from last season with 20 goals from 29 starts he is home grown and at 22 the best is yet to come.
