Whytecliffe
Kriss, Can you not close this, my point was valid and numerous respondents took it off topic meaning my question didn't get addressed. Don't think my question violated anything. There seems to be a lot of patches happening in quick succession with little changes thisi year. I did read somewhere on the forum that rumours were there were going to be little & often patches over the course of the year. Although I understand that the patches are not really affecting saved games, SI's policy has always been 'For the best possible experience, we always recommend you start a new game" This is obviously going to be a problem if a patch is released every week which has been the case with FM12 so far. Can somebody from SI clarify the position this year please as to what the plans are as I am concerned about starting a career game etc (although you can never really do that until after Feb update in my opinion) if there are going to be changes week on week. Many thanks
Äktsjon Männ
These are all really minor changes that won't affect saved games negatively. You don't need to start a new game every week.
Whytecliffe
I'd like SI to clarify as every other year with every patch they have said it is best to do so, why different this year?
Matt ex SEGA
There is no official plan for patches at this point - when there is, we'll announce it here. Until you hear otherwise you can work to the assumption that hotfixes that we announce as they go live are savegame compatible. Enjoy your career game... slipknot67
I'd like SI to clarify as every other year with every patch they have said it is best to do so, why different this year? Bacause this year so far there effectively haven't been any 'patches' as such yet, just minor updates which in my experience are pretty much fully save game compatible and have zero negative effect on a long term game. I've been playing my 5 season save since the demo and each individual update has done nothing but improve my game play experience.
