Micko Fliperic
So lets say i have 2 great cb's. Both can pass the ball and play football. I have them set up as a stopper, who is obviously higher up the pitch and the other one is set to cover. So, which one should get the ball playing role. The one higher up the pitch, who is busy chasing their striker or whoever, or the cover guy who is protecting the space behind him and probably has more space and time on his hands, or feet? flere-imsaho
I usually go with the cover guy, the idea being that he's more likely to be in space when he gets the ball as opposed to the stopper.
Micko Fliperic
yeah, that's what i was thinking too
phnompenhandy
It's what I do too. If you're in possession he'll be level with the other can and can bring the ball out of defence. If you're not in possession he needs to drop into space.
Stefanius
could't the both be ball-playing? If they are both capable then why not?
stemlfc
could't the both be ball-playing? If they are both capable then why not? Depending on their decisions stat, two roaming center backs could prove costly as they're given the license to find space and get the ball. I personally never use BPD unless I have an anchor man in front of him to provide cover.
Falahk
id play both as BPD, regardless of stats
