FAQ

* What does this release do?

We have changed the maximum substitutes allowed from 3/5 to 3/7 starting from the second season. We have also added our Real Fixtures from our existing work on fixtures for England.

* Why do I need to add All Key Staff?

I recommend you tick 'Add key staff'. That way all the staff you need, i.e. a physio and assistant manager will be generated for the clubs where there is not one set in the database.

As with all other editor data files, this release is not save game compatible.

* Is this release compatible with your other releases e.g. the England Levels 7&8 release?

Finally :applause:

Is it possible for me to merge it with my database? Cos you know.. I had spent almost 2 damn weeks tweaking default dbase to make it more tough/realistic to play. If not, then it will be no point to download it.

Thanks!

Hey, great file thanks.

I really wanted to use this, because

A. it makes the game realistic. (from the 2012/13 season in real life, teams can you use 7 subs)

B. allows me to give a couple of young players/ fringe players a chance on the bench.

C. you haven't changed any of the rules/ league setup etc.

Anyway I've noticed a couple of things. First one, when using this file, Portsmouth do not start with a -10 points deduction.

If you load the 12.2.2 database up with no xmls/ editor data files, Portsmouth start on -10 points.

This didn't bother me, it's no big deal as Pompey didn't get the 10 point deduction untill near the end of the season in real life anyway..

The 2nd thing though, seems to be a rule change?

I've just finished the season and gotten into the Championship Playoffs, all ready to play Nottm Forest.

But instead, the Playoff's are now in a Cup draw format:

In real life, and with the default FM settings, 6th place plays 3rd place.. 5th place plays 4th place. (And the team who finishes lower in the League table, plays the first leg at home)

It seems this file changes/ resets a few things.

It's a shame, as a really want to be able to use 7 subs in the Football League from the 2nd season onwards (as they can do in real life) while keeping all the rules/ league setup to the default setup.

Anyway, thanks for putting the time and effort into doing this file.

I've checked the file and the setup is definitely correct for the playoff. Not sure why it's making a draw, but you should still get the right team.

I'll release an update soon with the points deduction.

Hm, I'm not sure it could be.

I did get Nottm Forest at home in the first leg of the Playoffs (in the draw)

But Derby were drawn at home to Hull the first leg. (Usually the first leg, would be played at the team who finished 5th) Derby finished 4th and Hull finished 5th.

I'm going to carry on with my save, I can live with the draw process (and hopefully like you said, the future draws will still be the right teams)

But if not, I can still live with the random draw for the playoffs.. at least I'll be able to have 7 players on the bench, like real life.
