Toronto Blizzard
I've got a custom league with two teams being promoted/relegated between the top and second division. One of the two relegated teams (it's a different team each time) ends up both being relegated and staying in the top level, while the other one goes down. The next season, then, the team plays in both leagues, while one of the two teams that should have been promoted doesn't get put into a league at all. Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions? Thanks.
phnompenhandy
You need to report this in the thread for that custom league.
Toronto Blizzard
It's my own custom league... so I guess I can report it to myself??
Heath Matthias
This happened in my US edit. Was due to the San Antonio Scorpions having "next division" set to NASL, and current division set to AN UPPER DIVISION. I removed them (ended up adding them lower down the chain), and this fixed it. Toronto Blizzard
Hmm. I'd thought that I'd checked all of those when making all my club edits, but that's a decent suggestion to look into, at least. The only thing is that since I've just used the original MLS teams, they shouldn't have "next division" set. If that doesn't work, I'm going to try recreating MLS with a new unique ID. Heath Matthias
I had this issue with the MLS. What it would do is stick San Antonio in the division below, and also relegate a team, but then leave the same team in the MLS. Took me ages to sort it out. Toronto Blizzard
Your tip seems to have worked, Heath Matthias (at least on the first test) - thanks very much!!!
Heath Matthias
No problem, glad to save anyone the "pain" I went through sorting that out! Not sure why San Antonio is even set like that, since that league is non-playable by default.
