anamericanego
Taken Peterhead from bottom to top. It has taken about 10 years and I've bought young and sold prospects to make $. Board built me a 21,000 all-seater after I had about 100M in the bank. For the last 5 seasons I've ALWAYS had at least 75M in the bank. This season I have 140M after lots of prospects 'wanting to move to a bigger club.' So my point. The only thing that has changed is a new stadium being built. I was in the CL the previous season, and I'm only in October and my tax rate has gone up 5x the previous rate. Anyone else had this? I paid more tax in one month then all last season. Someone tell me why the government wants all my money!
athos7
I believe they're taxing you on your income from selling players.
anamericanego
I believe they're taxing you on your income from selling players. I thought so too, but I only made 10M more this season, then the previous one buy selling players.

Adelaidean
I believe tax in FM is calculated from last season's profits + this seasons wage bill taxes, so if you made a larger profit last season than the season before, you can expect to have much higher tax this season. anamericanego
Here's the income sheet. Keep in mind for all the 'blokes' out there that the £ > $, so the income may look a little inflated.

anamericanego
I ended the season with paying 26.7M in taxes. That's a 24.3M raise in taxes in one year. Can't be normal.
jayahr
Sounds odd indeed. Maybe worth asking in the bugs forum. However, the details of the economics in FM must sometimes not really be asked about. I have the feeling that SI just pull on some strings to get the final result about right without actually worrying about the correctness of the details themselves. The focus is just on the overall balances and the amount of money available in the game.
