Wow what happened to Birmingham?? Takeover?

They had a promotion from within first season but haven't spent that much money. There has been tons of consortium takeovers in this save but not one at Swans.

I played Britton as a deep lying playmaker defend and Allen as a ball winner support, worked a treat first few seasons till Britton got to old and Allen wanted a new challenge.

I am using 4-1-2-3 and won my first game 6-1 away to Sunderland! Got Blackburn at home next but struggling transfers wise got rafeal toloi but need a striker

EDIT: Beat Blackburn 3-0

EDIT: Beat QPR 1-0

No more transfers and I am regretting it as Danny Graham is struggling badly and we are just scrapping by with pens and lucky goals.

I recently played Chelsea away and mega p***ed as we lost 1-0 but as usual it was a Luiz long throw and mata tap in, really grinds my gears when he does that during the game he is not Delap!! sort it out SI

Then I played Liverpool away in the League Cup drew 2-2 lost 5-4 on pens and it was the most sided game i had 21 shots against their 7 shots, Sinclair and Dyer (Graham might as well be non exisistent) were so wasteful but i am more upset and angry with our strikers than going out of the comp.

Just means I will have to finish higher in the league!!!

Finished 1st season in 6th place. The tactic looks good as Swansea real-life playing style. Lot of pass and..... struggling at front. So, I decided to starting new game again. Tweaked the tactic, more attack, increase the tempo.

And now my Swansea just unstopable, at least until away at etihad.

just coming to the end of season 3 in my save.

have had my most successful season so far currently sitting 4th with two games to play. season 1 i finished a respectable 8th and picked up the manager of the year award, season 2 wasnt so good and only managed 12th.

have been playing a combination of 2 formations this season. a 4 5 1 when i play the big boys to accommodate a ball winner in midfield and a 4 2 3 1 for the rest of the teams. switching between the two set ups has been really good and have managed to do the double over man city and take points off all the other "big 4" apart from united.

have tried to go down the road of buying british players for the team and am pretty happy with the squad ive assembled. arron ramsey being the jewel in the crown, a 6mil purchase star of the season as he wasnt getting games at arsenal. Alberto Paloschi (sp) picked up on a free at the end of season one has tuned into a beast and has got 20+ premier league goals the last two seasons.

one thing id recommend people look at is a tall strong midfielder to break up attacks etc. i started out the first two seasons with britton/allen in the middle but as u can imagine i was loosing the Ariel battle. Javi Garcia solved that problem. the guy is a rock and it gives you the freedom to send more people forward.

Just started my 8th season in charge of Swansea. Last season managed to get into the Champions League for the first time after having a good season and finishing 3rd. In the pass year we've added the first bit of silverware with 4 trophies in a few months the F.A Cup, Europa League, Euro Super Cup and Community Shield.

Last seasons league table

Over the years Ive managed to build a really young side with tons of potential, hopefully in the next couple of years we can start winning PL's and CL's on a regular basis

I've decided to start a Swansea save along side a Real Madrid save that has become to easy, I've decided to not buy or loan anyone and so far ive been surprisingly successful playing the swansea way usually having much more or the ball ! after 12 league games im leading the pack in the premiership ! remaining unbeaten after winning 9 and drawing 3 games. although still remaining unbeaten i still have to play the likes of United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea away from home but i played City away and drew 0-0 and generally deserved to get a point which was encouraging.

The only problem ive had is with the rigid 4-2-3-1 formation and short passing im currently struggling to create many clear cut chances, ive decided to change things around slightly and have changed to a more fluid game whilst decreased the mentality of my two widemen and increasing there passing to mixed rather than short an this lead to me creating 2 clear cut chances against Chelsea at home in which i won 2-1 ! I just wondered if anyone has any ideas how i can increase the number of chances i make whilst keeping hold of possession ?

Finally got hold of one of the big trophies after a decade in charge at Swansea. It has been a good season all round with a 3rd place finish in the Premier League and winners in the F.A Cup, Carling Cup and Champions League.

Here's what we've won in the first 10 years on my reign at the club.

1x Champions League (2021)

1x Europa League (2017)

1x Euro Super Cup (2017)

2x Carling Cup (2020, 2021)

4x F.A Cup (2017, 2019, 2020, 2021)

3x Community Shield (2017, 2019, 2020)

After we had won the Champions League 7 on my players had gained worldwide reputation. I think now we are ready to win that elusive Premier League title after all the years of 3rd and 4th place finishes. I'll report back at the end of next season on how the season went and if the team is now ready to go on and dominate the Premier League.

I've decided to give a Swansea save a blast over the summer as my current Newcastle save is currently missing in action, and it's in the hands of the gods* as to whether I'll pay it again.

* the 'gods' being the Bug Forum boffins...hoping they can salvage something!

Currently approaching the end of the 1st pre-season and so far I've only added 2 players to the squad and sold one. Kemy Agustien left to join Reggina for £1.1 million though most of that will be paid over 24 months. I snapped up Andile Jali the South African midfielder for £350,000 as he's too much of a bargain to miss at that price and he should work well with the likes of Allen and Britton. My other signing so far is Bashkim Kadrii from Odense Boldklub for £1.4 million. He's an AMC who can also play out on the left wing or upfront, initially he'll provide some competition for Sinclair but is also a backup for Super Siggy.

I did have a deal agreed for another right winger, but that fell through due to a work permit and we're waiting for Jelle Vossen to decide if he'll join us or not. With a bit of luck that deal might go through in time for our first league match against Bolton.

Like a lot of folks on here I've gone with a variation of 4-2-3-1 as my main tactic, and a more traditional 4-3-3 and 4-5-1 as alternatives. The main tactic has flat back four then a DMCL and MCR just ahead then AMR, AMC, AML and the ST deployed as a Defensive Forward. So far it's worked fairly well in the friendlies and we've generally had between 65% and 75% of possession home and away, but we have played some pretty weak opposition in a few of those games. Also our shooting has at times been woeful, and we have been cut open by a couple of the teams playing quick, direct (but accurate) passing.

Our last friendly was a case in point, we finished the game having had 65% possession (had been as high as 72% at one point), 87% pass completion, 23 shots on goal including 9 on target and 2 off the woodwork and 11 corners. Compared to Zaragoze who managed 4 shots, 3 on target and who won no corners at all.

And the game finished 3-3, with them leading 3-1 at halftime :p

Could be quite a ride for the season ahead.

Just completed my 11th season and managed to win the Premier League pretty convincingly in the end after it was tight between 3 clubs up until late March early April.

2021-22 League Table

2012-05-28_00001.jpg

After wrapping up the Premier League we had the chance to win the treble with an FA Cup final against Newcastle and a Champions League final against Man City (if we won both it would be 4 FA Cups in a row and back to back Champions League wins). Both games proved to be really tough with a penalty shootout win in the cup final and a 1-0 win over City in the Champions League final after going down to 10 men a few minutes before scoring the decisive goal.

Congrats on the treble there  Any of the original squad survived to your 11th season?

Managed to sign Vossen for my side and we've made a reasonable start to the 1st Premier League season, wins over Bolton and Newcastle and a narrow defeat to Arsenal at home, narrow defeats away to Man Utd and Liverpool and a 0-0 draw away to Norwich that we really should have won.

Main problem so far has been our finishing, Dyer and Sinclair both guilty of wasting a lot of opportunities when through against the keeper. (Dyer did score a worldy against Arsenal tbf).

Yeah still got Sinclair playing as a back up left winger to my English regen. Scotty has been unbelievable in my reign becoming the clubs all time top league scorer with 148 goals. This season will be his last at the club now he's 33 but he will always be remembered by the Swans faithful after along with me becoming the only legends.

He's been struggling for form so far on my save, but wasn't helped by picking up an ankle knock in pre-season. Really hope he finds his shotting boots as a lot of chances we create are falling to the two widemen.

On a tangent, currently playing Fulham in the league and Leon Britton (that'd be 5'5" Leon Britton mind...) has just flattened Pavel Pogrebnyak with a shoulder barge by the touchline :D

EDIT: On a less amusing note Joe Allen picks up a serious hip injury in the same game and needs to be sent to a specialist, 3 months out at least. :(

SWANSEA CITY

2011-2012 Season review

So, I've completed my first season with unexpected results. The most successful season in club history.

Here's a quick review from league table and the tactic also.

LEAGUE TABLE

Carling Cup = Winner vs Newcastle

SQUAD

- Julian Schieber

- Jake Sinclair

Transfer Out :

- Darnel Situ (Loan)

- Federico Bessone (Loan)

- Mark Gower

- Kemy Agustien

- Andrea Orlandi

TACTIC

swanseacitytacticsteami.png

From 4-2-3-1, I try to make fluid in the midfield area. As we know, in real life, swansea playing with short passing and build attack from back. There's a lot passing between GK - Defender - Midfielder. DMC - MC - AMC is the important area in this formation.

Britton play deep to offer save passing from defender, while I want he still support when attack as well. So, I tick the roaming (when free role ticked, players tend to move forward). And the midfield will looks very dynamic. It can like 1-2 (DM-CM) when defend, and 2-1 (CM-AMC) when attack.

Joe Allen plays more like Xavi in Barca. Advanced simple passing than Britton. And Sigurdsson as False 10.

Here's some match stats, showing how the passing working.

Pict 1 | Pict 2 | Pict 3

*Allen/McArthur role producing at least 60 - 70+ pass per game.

And Sigurdsson play well as False 10, bagging lot of assist and goal also.

And now I'm in 2nd season, maybe I'll make one more alternative tactic with 3 defender. 3-4-3 or 3-3-4 maybe.

Sorry for my bad english. Cheers.

Brilliant first season muhammadrizka well done:thup: took me 11 years to win the PL, what an achievement to win it first season!

On a less amusing note Joe Allen picks up a serious hip injury in the same game and needs to be sent to a specialist, 3 months out at least.

If you have the same experience I had with Joe Allen he will want to leave for a new challenge after around 5 years. I managed to keep hold of him for 8 seasons but the last few year he was constantly moaning about a new challenge and putting in poor performances. In the end I got tired of him and sold him to Wolves for £10.5m.

@Chicha_14

I'll be happy enough with 5 or 6 good seasons out of him...though it would be great if he was happy to stay and become a real legend. He's done well for me so far this season, fortunatley Andile Jali is available as his replacement. Also have Bodde as an option, though doubt it'll be long before he gets injured too.

@muhammadrizka

Great first season  Love the tactic, always like seeing slightly oddball looking formations for some reason

Thanks dude. Yeah brilliant 1st season, but I'm worried with UCL this season haha

Confused about my transfer policy, I want to keep the original squad. But in other way, we need to improve the squad.

Already get Vela and Sigursson permanently. Looking to signing Caulker and Havard Nordtveit.

2011/12 Season - Halfway Stage

englishpremierdivisionos.png

We've reached the midway point in the first season and we're ahead of where I expected us to be at this point. Sitting fairly comfortably in the top half at the moment, with a bit of luck we can challenge for a European spot as long as we remain fairly injury free.

Not surprisingly Gylfi has been our star performer so far, with 10 goals and 12 assists in his 21 appearances and an average rating of 7.60. Apart from him the most consistent performer has been Neil Taylor (another ever present) with a rating of 7.42 so far. After slow starts Jelle Vossen and Scott Sinclair are really starting to find some form, both having pitched in with 8 goals.

Results so far

swanseacityfixturesfixt.png

A little more clinical in front of goal and we could have turned some of those 7 draws into wins, we've also dropped a couple of major defensive clangers in matches but we've started to tighten up defensively as the season progressed (barring a horrendous at the back against Villa).

I've been enjoying a Swansea save over the last few days so thought I would share my progress. I've just started the 2nd season but I will start from the beginning.

1st Season Transfers

Craig Dawson - £1.4m

Ruben Yttegard Jenssen - £1m

Guti - free

Chris Gunter - £2.8m

Hernan Crespo - free

Birger Maertens - free

Junior Hoilett - £2m (January)

Gower, Tate, Agustien, Bodde & Lita went for about £6m in total

Competitions

League Cup - Morecambe and Blackburn were seen off easily in the first 2nd & 3rd rounds before a hard fought extra time victory over Everton in the 5th. The Quarter final draw wasn't kind as we drew Man City but they fielded a team that was almost all youth/reserve and we hammered them 5-0. The Semi-finals were against Wolves which we beat 4-3 on aggregate. The final was against my favourite team Man Utd so I wasn't expecting to win but we managed to pull off a 1-0 victory to win some silverware!

FA Cup - The 3rd, 4th & 5th rounds were easy enough seeing off Cardiff 5-1 in the Welsh derby, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa. The 6th round saw us come up against Wolves who we completely dismantled 7-1. The Semi-final was against Everton but they couldn't stop us and fell to a 2-0 defeat. In the final we had Tottenham and quickly raced to a 2-0 lead by half time. The squad was knackered after a long season and injuries meant we only had 2 substitutes available so when Tottenham leveled it at 2-2 and took it to extra time it was always going to be difficult to get the win and we ended up losing 4-2 after extra time. I was still very pleased with the run.

Premier League - The whole season can only be described as overachieving. We started slowly losing to teams like Bolton and floated around the midtable region for the first 8 or so games. After this we clicked and went on a good run picking up several wins some of which were against much bigger teams including Liverpool and Man Utd. The table at Christmas looked very strange with Man City a few points ahead of Stoke, Fulham and us in 4th. Utd, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool were battling it out for Europa league places at this stage and Chelsea were in the relegation zone! As the season reached the business end we were still in contention for champions league places and maybe even an outside chance of a title challenge. United and Arsenal started to put wins together so it was between those 6 teams for the first few places. Stoke and Fulham began to fall away at the end and we found ourselves clinging onto 2nd but Arsenal had 3 games in hand. City went on to win the league with 2 games to go so the others were left to battle for 2nd. On the last day we needed to win with a better scoreline than United to beat them on goal difference and hope Arsenal were beaten away at Everton to finish 2nd. Fortunately both these things happened and Swansea secured their highest ever league finish!

Players

The standout player was Gylfi Sigurdsson who played 45 scored 15 and assisted an incredible 40, finishing with an average of 7.88 and winning premier league player of the season. Unfortunately Hoffenheim weren't willing to sell him permanently but I will be hoping to bring him back in the future. Scott Sinclair was very good and ended as the top scorer with 17 goals outscoring Graham and Crespo, Dyer chipped in with a few aswell. The defenders were very impressive but Tottenham refused to let Caulker return as they now consider us rivals for the top positions.

2nd Season Transfers

Moore, Routledge, Crespo, Maertens, Guti, Bessone, Dobbie, Moreira, Orlandi and Situ all went for cheap/free and I was given a budget of £30m so purchased:

Kyle Naughton - £1.7m

Johan Martial - £800k

Sidney Sam - £725k

Kolbeinn Sigthorsson - £5.5m

Demba Ba - £5m

Yohan Cabaye - £11m

Younes Belhanda - £13.5m

Dedryck Boyata - loan

Tim Krul - £4.8m

Aurelian Chedjou - £9m

Yagiz Ozbag - £4.5m (4.5 star regen)

Newcastle were relegated so I took advantage of that and poached some of their players. Hopefully the squad is now ready for a season in the Champions League but we were given a difficult group with Barcelona, Juventus and Wolfsburg. Played 2 games of the 2nd season beating Everton at home and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Link to post

I have seen them relegated several times on other saves aswell.

Champions league campaign has gone well so far, got through the group stages easily. Finished 2nd behind Barca on the same points depsite scoring more and conceding less (?). The Liberty has been a fortress so far winning every single game there and its now mid December. Juvetus were beaten 6-0 and Barca 5-2. The bad news is my star man Younes Belhanda, averaging over 8 for the season has broke his foot and will be out for 4 months. I'm working on an incredible coup to replace him but won't say who it is yet incase it doesn't pan out.

Link to post

Wasn't getting Belhanda a big enough coup for you!!! :p

He's a cracking player, bad luck with the injury there.

Newcastle actually managed to stave off relegation on my save, they were in the bottom three for most of the season but somehow went on an amazing run of form in their last 8 games. Somehow only dropped 2 points out of a possible 24 and got big wins over Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea in those results. Got them all the way up to 11th at the death. Couple of their players still making noises about wanting to leave though, so may still poach a couple if the transfer fees aren't too high.

Stuck at work at the moment, but will update my season when I get home later, went a lot better than I'd expected. One first for me during the season that I had one of my signings announce that he was signing for Swansea due to the 'friendliness of the club', not seen that before. Had players sign because they wanted to move to a better league or bigger club, or due to the challenge of European football or the quality of the club facilities....but never friendliness.

2011/12 - Season Update - Passports at the ready Boys!

englishpremierdivisionok.png

swanseacityfixturesfixt.png

Despite being convinced that we couldn't hang on to a European spot throughout the second half of the season the players managed to completely exceed my expectations and we ended up holding on to the last Champions League spot. We'd actually been as high as third for a while, but gradually injuries, suspensions and fatigue began to tell on a small squad and our form wobbled quite a bit in the last few weeks. Thought we'd totally blown it with our worst performance of the season against Blackburn (I mean Blackburn for the of........) where we got spanked 4-0 and then losing to Spurs in the next game despite dominating the match. (The result there meant Spurs went up into third and we suddenly had Liverpool and Chelsea breathing down our necks for that 4th spot)

However the team meeting after the Spurs result seemed to refocus the players and we grabbed a couple of vital home wins in a row and whilst Liverpool stayed hot on our heels, Chelsea suffered their own blip. Liverpool still had a chance to pip us on the last day of the season, but even though we threw away a 2 goal lead against Chelsea (in a proverbial game of two halves), they couldn't do the necessary and lost at Sunderland.

Gylfi was rewarded for his excellent season with the Footballer of the Year award, with 19 goals and 18 assists he'd been the third highest goalscorer behind Defoe and Rooney, and the second highest assist maker behind David Silva. He also made more key passes during the season than any other player (By quite a way too, 56 key passes comapred to second placed Danny Murphy with 39). Leon Britton and Michel Vorm made it into the top three in terms of pass completion, with Joe Allen not far behind. Only Gylfi made it into the full team of the year though.

Overall, absolutely over the moon with the players efforts and largely happy with how our formation worked out during the season, barring the shockingly bad performance against Blackburn and an FA Cup tie against Man City we were never really outplayed by anyone and fingers crossed we'll be able to say the same in Europe.

Plans for 2012/13

I sold Agustien, Stephen Dobbie and Mark Gower at various points during the season just past, once the summer transfer window opened I offloaded several others with Leroy Lita, Luke Moore, Ferrie Bodde and Wayne Routledge being either sold, released or loaned. Wasn't too bothered about the fees I got for them, just wanted their wages gone and to not have to deal with their constant moans about not starting enough matches.

The plan for rest of pre-season is to add several 1st team ready players in certain areas of the pitch to add more quality and competition, and also allow for a bit more rotation as we'll have more games this season. Looking to add a striker, a winger (possibly 2 unless I can add one comfortable on both wings), a central defender (again possibly two, budget allowing) a first choice right back and a backup for Taylor at left back. I'd already arranged some deals for some youth signings recommended by the scouts and added 3 players who while not quite 1st team quality yet, will get some games in the cup competitions this season.

I was offered a £27.5 million kitty for a top half finish, but pushed the boat out a little and went for Europa league qualification which means I have £35 million to spend if I want.

The first priority though was to get Gylfi Sigurdsson signed on a permanent deal and toward the end of June I persuaded Hoffenheim to sell for £6.75 million upfront and another possible £4 million in clauses. I have tried to get Caulker back as well, but Spurs won't drop their price to below £10 million, so I've decided to look elsewhere for now. Agreed a deal for Bolton's Lee Chung-Yong, but unfortunately he failed to get a work permit. Missed out on Nicolas Gaitan for a bargain £4.5 million as he refused to talk to us and went to Malaga.

The other completed deals so far:

Kyle Naughton - signed from Spurs to be 1st choice right back. Cost £1.5 million as he was transfer listed.

Didac - Spanish left back, signed from AC Milan for £2.7 million, again he was transfer listed. Quick, hard working player will provide some serious competition for Taylor.

Kolbeinn Sigthorsson - signed from Ajax for £4.8 million, there are probably quicker, more composed strikers out there for the money but this guy is still young and has no real weaknesses to any area so decided to snap him up. Plus he's a fellow Icelander to make Gylfi happy.

I also have deals agreed for Andreas Granqvist and Ciaran Clark in central defence, and have been offered the Italian midfielder Luca Cigarini for £800,000 which I decided to accept as Andile Jali is injured and Cigarini would provide another excellent free kick taker in the squad.

So last week I started a save with swansea I'm currently at end of 2nd season

First season I only brought in paddy court for 550k and kept everyone except a few youngsters who got loaned out

I didn't do good enough to survive and sadly got relegated on the last day of the season but I kept my job after getting to the semis of the f.a. Cup where I lost to chelsea ( would post screenshot of fixtures but writing this on iPad)

Secnod season I got rid of quite a lot of players including routledge, monk, Tate, bodde Moore lita and agustien and other for a total of 4.7m along with 6m budget I had 10m to spend. I bought Formica (to replace gylfi) Joe mattock, Paul Taylor seb Hines Scott wootton mcarthur g.gardner (loan) vellios (loan) sisi j. Blackman and dani Fernandez for a total of 5m

With these player I managed to win the championship losing just 9 games scoring 73 and conceding only 37! I would of liked to score more but I'm pleased my defence was good

Finished my 2nd season. I thought the 2st season was an overachievment but this was borderline ridiculous. After finishing 2nd in the first season I told the board I would mount a title challenge. It was a two horse race all through the season with ourselves and Liverpool, they were 2/3 points ahead of us right until the last 3 games where they had to play Man Utd, Arsenal and Norwich whereas we had easy games against bottom half opposition. They lost to United and Arsenal so in the end we won the league by 4 points ending on 93 having scored 117 goals.

We failed to retain the league cup after losing against my bogey team Arsenal in the final and we were knocked out of the FA cup by Liverpool in the semi's. The Champions league was more successful however as we finished 2nd in the group with 15 points behind Barca and easily ahead of Juventus and Werder Bremen. In the first knockout round we faced Schalke and it was over after we hammered them 6-0 at home in the first leg. The quarters were a much tougher ask as we went up against Real Madrid but having beaten Barca handsomely in the group stages I felt like we had a chance and we managed to beat them 4-3 on aggregate. The Semi-final was against Valencia and we saw them off relatively easy. The other semi was between Barca and Lyon and surprisingly Lyon won on penalties. Going into the final I was confident and it turned out to be one of the most exiciting finals of all time as we played out a 5-3 victory to become Champions of Europe.

All sorts of good players were interested in moving to Swansea after the Champions league win and I soon tied up deals for Marek Hamsik (28m), Eden Hazard (30m), Dusan Tadic (10m), Gary Medel (7m) and made Pastore's loan deal permanent for a bargain 15m.

ive decided to restart now ive got my tactic sorted and know a bit more about swanseas team

btw sinclair is amazing in the last season he got 16 goals and 13 assists as an inside foward

Yeah, took him a while to get going on my save, but once he did he was constantly terrorising defences. Finished the season with the highest average dribbles per game in the league, not surprisingly. Hope he picks up where he left off this season for me

I started a Swansea save a week ago, but i had forgotten about the downloaded editor i had with all the classic players as 18 year olds at their 1st clubs - after signing Linekar, and future transfers of Maradona and Eusebio - and seeing Man Utd racing away with Bobby Charlton and George Best running riot - i have got a little annoyed. So, back to a new save with them. I had developed 2 tactics for the Swans which both worked quite well, one for home games, one for away but both put emphasis on a good passing game. I had signed players like Zubar, Craig Dawson, Jorge Ribeiro (on a free and playing very well), Jelle Vossen, Adam Maher etc so hopefully i will be able to build a decent side for the 1st season again. I will post progress on here

Just completed my first season with Swansea and managed to attain 8th position . Bought in Toloi, Chris Gunter , yttergard Jessen and Guti(free) during the July transfer window.Toloi and Gunter were superb and on-form most of the time. However, striker Danny Graham couldn't score for nuts and had no stamina so I decided to splurge $8.5million on Jelle Vossen from Genk on the last day of the Jan transfer window (had to adjust transfer budget for the deal to go through) . Vossen was a beast as he scored 16 goals in 16 PL games and we even managed to beat liverfool , arsenal and drew with chelski to leapfrog from 11th to 8th position .

Can anyone recommend any good right and left winger/inside forward who can replace inconsistent Scott Sinclair and Nathan Dyer? I am playing 4-3-3 formation with Sinclair and Dyer playing as inside forwards on the flanks and Vossen as a poacher .

Possible future siginings: Wilfried from Vitnesse (replace danny graham ),sigurisson( scored 19 while on loan to swansea),Dodo, Jack Rodwell (to replace Joe Allen) .

Adam Johnson usually ends up on transfer list after the first season, might be worth a cheeky bid. I had a deal agreed but Liverpool decided to stick their oar in on last day of the window. James Milner might be another City player looking for a move. Junior Hoilett at Blackburn, might be available fairly cheap if they got relegated.

Sidney Sam at Bayer Leverkusen could be available for £5 million or so, not a good crosser but bags of pace and a decent finisher.

Hey guys. I've just started my first season with Swansea and I'm struggling to make any worthwhile singings. I don't have the update so no Gylfi or Josh. Anyway, do you have any advices on a quality AMC and CB who would be willing to talk to me?

I got bids accepted for Gylfi, Strootman, Kovacic, Vrsaljko and Badelj, but none would even listen to my offers :/ Any advice? I sold Routledge and got a 7mill transfer kitty, so I've got circa 10mill to spend.

PS i'm on a small database so no Yttergard, Bressan and Svenssen which sucks.

Thanks for the quick replies! I'll try drahun and henrikson, maybe they'll be more willing to play for welsh barca ;)

Yeah, I'm from Zagreb (the city where Badelj and Vrsaljko's club Dinamo plays in) so I jumped to get those guys straight away. Badelj signed for Porto, Vrsaljko wouldn' even listen to my proposal and Kovacic signed for Man City (dumb move, he'll warm the bench)

I even tried some other highly rated youngster such as Bertolacci, Strootman, Kvekveskiri and Toro and all were either uninterested or denied the WP. At the end I even got snubbed by Rochina ffs.

Anyways, I really should've loaded the medium database at least, I just don't have a very quick laptop, so I went for the safe option.

EDIT: Wigan kinda saved me, sold me Jordi Gomez for 2mill. I know it's not ideal, but I'll make do for the first season. Hope I can capture Gylfi at the start of next season. Also, I got Erick Torres, Berra and Prestia. Do you think I can stay safe?
