PAULHOLMES
I am curious whether anyone has had any luck playing a traditional big man up front, either as a lone striker or as part of a traditional big/small slow/fast combo. I'm referring specifically to goalscoring. I have Lukaku playing as a target man in partnership with Sturridge, and Sturridge scores plenty and Romelu has a fair number of assists. But Lukaku scores in the mid single digits on average, and doesn't get many when I play him as a lone target man (in games where I expect to struggle and pack the midfield). What advice do people have for turning a big, aerially powerful striker into a goal machine?

aderow
I played Lukaku as part of a front 3 and he scored plenty. I wouldn't necessarily say he was a lone striker because the other 2 players usually got into the box very often.
JackJCFC
In my Chelsea saved Lukaku scored more goals than games played after the 2nd season. That was as the attacking target man of a 4-3-3. maybe it depends on formation.
Eastwood
Got 27 goals off Adebayor at Tottenham, and he rotated quite a bit. Not a bad return really, played him as advanced striker.
DuncanJM
I wouldnt us Lukaku as a TM, they are hard to work effectively on this game. Try using him as a Poacher but set team instructions to use him as a target man. I have had a little bit of success with andy carroll like this, although he is very hard to get to score goals! Turneep
I am currently playing 2 strikers, one big, one small and quick, up front at the moment. Both are regens. My Poacher literally bangs in goals like nobodys business and the TM will score every 2nd or 3rd game but he gets alot of assists!
