Two very different systems?

Recommended Posts

Now we all know that you can prepare three formations/strategies in FM.

Currently I'm working with a short passing, possession based 4-2-3-1 which seems to be going very well. What I'm wondering is would I be able to prepare a tactic that would be the complete opposite, long ball, playing of a target man. I've got the players to be able to do both, I think. But would this be too much of a contrast in ideas to work?

Any ideas and thoughts would be much appreciated.

Cheers

I always have two plan B tactics. It takes more time/workload on match preparation but helps when I need to change tempo/passing/mentality etc.

Extreme and different settings on match prep. also allow me to use wide range of shouts effectively. Example: I use zonal marking as my main setting but for some matches I need shout "hassle opponent" which changes my marking to man - so having tactic with man marking on my match preparation prepares my team to that sittuation.
