gechal
Hello I have no Internet and a new laptop sat here, fm 12 installed, but steam won't let me use offline mode, keeps saying it can't connect. We know that, that's the point of offline mode! I'm here in front of my laptop and I can't play fm ! Any help?
Falahk
you probably need to set the game library as your starting page on steam instead of the store page (which seams to need an internet conncetion to work)

gechal
Ok I am a genius, I made my iPhone a personal hotspot, connected the laptop to it, opened steam, set to offline mode, closed it turned off phone and hey presto. I thank you.
Guest
I'm assuming that you're using your mobile to access the forum, does it have the ability to create a personal wi-fi hotspot? As you only need to access Steam online to set it to offline piggy-backing on a 3G signal should be sufficient. Open wi-fi networks are also your friend, take your laptop to MacDonald's or a pub with free access.
gechal
Cheers barside that makes two of us right clever. Worked a treat, just hope the whole process didn't cost me 100s of pounds in data charges.
