bolulu
I have a new signing and feel lucky to get him. However, it's getting towards the start of the season (Jul/Aug) and one would expect all the players to be into a regime of medium training at least. This git keeps moaning about the extra training, etc. & I am now in a position where he has no specialist training, no new position training & if I move him one more nitch down on the slider he will be on "light" training. I am not having that! Sadly, I am sure if I ignore the request the idle beggar will pop up every team meeting with the same request & show as "unhappy" in other areas. I am sorry but this is a complete crock, totally unrealistic & needs fixing!
La Furia Roja
why? There are some players, quite well known, that have had attitudes like this. I personally have not seen this regularly. If a player is not happy with my training I tell him to stop being disrespectful and I am in charge. If he doesn't like that he is out the door. It isnt something that needs fixing at all, do you look into his personality etc when you signed?
junclot
professionalism < 10 they will start moaning ... and gets worse when tat hidden attribute gets lower
achilles-the-victorious
I have had the good luck to have a highly professional squad now the last couple seasons, and one of the first things I look for in new signings is determination and a personality that will fit in (hence, professional). THEN I look for potential.
BiggusD
Let him be unhappy. Most players I have had who were complaining still improved quite decently when training along with all the others. Just ignore it. Unless, of course, he is so unprofessional and unambitious that he starts deteriorating. Then the only option is to get rid of him asap. Edit: young players with this attitude should be tutored by someone with better personalities.
Super Bladesman
Yeah, some people just like a good whinge. I just ignore the complaints.
bolulu
Got to ignore it! The bloke simply cannot be put on light training durung pre-season preparations, period. He'll just have to suck it up. Interesting points about determination & tutoring though.
Kenco
If he is key to your team and gets results, then give him a light workload. If he can be replaced then sell him. Having players like this is great for the game, gives it an extra bit of realism IMO.
bolulu
Mmmm. Not sure what's going on but have had this bloke (who is my star player btw) moaning for weeks about too much training & is actually on minimum of medium, with no add-ons. He has just now suddenly popped up saying he needs more to do. Great for me; but go figure. I am baffled!
BiggusD
Mmmm. Not sure what's going on but have had this bloke (who is my star player btw) moaning for weeks about too much training & is actually on minimum of medium, with no add-ons. He has just now suddenly popped up saying he needs more to do. Great for me; but go figure.I am baffled! Could be that he is just complaining about too much EXTRA training, so if he is practicing on a PPM, training to a new position and focusing on an attribute at the same time he might feel that is a bit much. I am not sure about this but maybe the match preparation training also comes into the picture; in other words he wants the percentage of scheduled training to go up. Edit: but reading your post once more I realise this is not the case here. I set everyone to the max of Medium workload, and if they complain I ignore them until it is time to sell. bolulu
No morale problems ignoring them Biggus?
Redbyrd
Have you tried talking to him and telling him he needs to improve his training if he wants to remain at the team and/or play on the first team. Usually they admitt that they havent been good enough and the problem goes away for awhile. If they insist they are doing fine tell them they should listen toyou because you pick the team. If they are still a pain then they are still a pain.
BiggusD
No morale problems ignoring them Biggus? Maybe they drop to Okay faster than the others - I haven't noticed any connection so it can't be that strong...
