evertonman
Just wondering if anybody knew do players in the game grow in height and weight? I know height wont change much after around 15-20 but just wanted to know
Dr. Hook
I have never seen it happen, and I don't think it does. However, it should, and it can be done in FM because it was done in EHM which was based on FM code. We created growth charts and Riz programmed them in so our 14 year olds grew and peaked in height in their mid-late teens, and weight I think increased until around 20-21. Obviously not for all players, but it was a nice bit of realism.
Mulliday
Yes it definitely does, I've bought players aged 15 or 16 and they've grown in height and weight over their next few years
Crazy Billy-Jay Jones
I've never seen it happen personally, albeit i'm playing an older version of FM. Would have been an interesting feature to include, would add a touch of realism.
doomwolf
Yes they do grow. I created a player who was 16 years old, (height 170cm, weight 70kg) and when he was 25 he was like (height 176cm, weight 82kg)
achilles-the-victorious
In Fm12 only, or FM11 as well?
billythen
Fm12 and Fm11 both ok
achilles-the-victorious
I checked back through some screenshots of regens I developed over the years and not only does their appearance change slightly (they get 'older' in subtle ways, face is tiny bit wider...) their weight changed as well. Just 1 kg drop in both the cases I looked at, and no increase in height compared to when they were 19.
Nocuous
It definitely does happen, but I'm pretty sure it'll only happen to regens and not players originally in the database already. I've certainly had a regen go from 5'11 to 6'0 before.
pigfacemonkeyman
Fm12 and Fm11 both ok And FM10. xxx

Usually i take note of any freaks of naturethat come through my youth system, there was definitely a centreback who was 6'4 at 16, and ended up being 6'6...pity he couldn't mark to save his life
Richey2008
I'd like the height restriction upper limit taken off. Then i'd like to run an experiment with a 20ft tall goalkeeper to see if he could save Wolves from being relegated.
Rikulec
I've seen Shaqiri grow 1cm on FM11.

I've never understood why football clubs don't just hire sumos and feed them so much that they can simply be wedged in the goal and no balls can fit past them. It's already been done, by Liverpool in the sixties with 'the flying pig' Tommy Lawrence.
