Kier
Evening all, hopefully a quick question. I'm currently managing Chelmsford City, just had our stadium expanded to hold 4,000. I was looking around the facilities page and noticed this. Capacity - 4,000 (1270 seated) (2879 used in regular matches). Does anyone know what the bit in bold means? Thanks. Giggsidan
Just a guess but possibly only 2879 are used for regular league matches and the capacity is used for massive cup games or something?
Kier
Would there be a reason for that? Would have thought they would want as many places as possible.
johnhughthom
Perhaps there is a stand/area that doesn't meet league rules, and can only be used in friendlies?
eple
Maybe a stand in the stadium is closed off to save on expenses. Opening up the stand would mean more match day expenses, but not more income necessarily because you are not likely to go past 2879 in capacity in league games. SLDavies
I had this on a Newport save got to premier league but then told full stadium won't be in use for league games, I guessed that maybe they couldn't sell the non seated tickets for league games. So only selling the seated ones but then for cup games I always had a sell out
