Nvidea Gforce gt 520mx problem

If you mean the match engine judders, you're playing in windowed mode and you're using Aero:

- Right-click on FM.exe

- Switch to the compatibility tab

- Enable "Disable desktop composition" (I think that's what it's called in English, unfortunately my Windows isn't English)

I have a GT 520 (non-laptop) and the above worked for me (and also worked with my previous OEM GT card). Aero seemed to be the culprit.

Other things to do would be to close things like your browser (especially if you've got pages with flash content or similar) and or other applications you don't need. If that still doesn't work, try scaling down the graphics settings in FM.

You need to find FM.exe, which is located in the directory that steam installs your games to. I'm at work, so I can't tell you where it is on my computer. Maybe someone else can tell you where to look. You might also be able to get there from within steam (try right clicking on FM in steam and see if that lets you find out where it's located).

You could also just search for "FM.exe". The search in the latest Windows is useless however, you might want to install something like this:

http://www.voidtools.com/

Note that this won't help if you're playing in full screen mode. I had no problems in full screen, only in Windowed mode. It also made no difference which drivers I used, it seemed to be a conflict between Aero and FM.

Interesting :)

I'd also say update drivers, but changing the compatibility setting takes 2 seconds so you might as well try it; updating the drivers isn't that quick (I know because it was the first thing I tried too).

I don't recommend changing the compatibility setting.

Well it fixed the stutter for me, while updating the drivers didn't, so I would definitely try it... I guess one could also turn off Aero completely. But seriously, why not use the compatibility setting if updating the driver update doesn't help? I mean, what have you got to lose? It's not like the compatibility settings are something to avoid - you make it sound like they're detrimental to your computer or something. You can always switch back if they don't help.
