My scout was not that great, so he left with some of the other staff currently on the books. However, this now looks like a bad decision as I can't get a scout to sign for me at all... but not because they don't want to. Currently my board will only give me £675 a week for scouts, despite me being £6k under the wage budget, but every scout, even the worst will not drop below £825. They won't drop the wage demands, and the board will not give me any more money (even though I shouldn't need it). Anyone else managed to get out of this situation, I'm now a month into the season with no scouts at all, and it's depply frustrating. Thanks in advance! I managed to get around it by giving them a take it or leave it offer. Firstly, start off by offering them a contract 2 times (to which they decline), then locking the contract offer, I always seemed to get scouts to accept afterwards.
