masticator Posted September 3, 2012 Share Posted September 3, 2012 im getting pretty fed up of managing in the english premiership. im sick of managing a top team, hammering them for 90 mins, and then when they have their first attack, they score! its become a bit of a standing joke during our network games. im not suggesting it doesnt happen in real life, but the amount of times it happens when managing in the english premiership is just silly. i have proof of this. my theory is that because FM is an english based game, the scouts that provide for it are biased towards their players and clubs. therefore, the premiership is the hardest league to manage in. Last season after finishing the last 2 seasons in 2nd place(1 time with 95 points) I thought it would be my season,it was a nightmare,I forgot how many times the opposing keeper got man of the match. I would batter them and either only get a draw or on far too many match's I lost when it just did not seem possible...I honestly considered cheating and reloading as it did not seem to be either fair or lifelike. I did not want to cheat as I know I would have deleted my save having cheated...so I spent the last 2 months worrying I was going to lose my job(2021 only managed Nuneaton and brought them to the semi final of CL and 2x2nd in Premiership). Thankfully I am a legend at the club and after finishing 8th having said I would finish in a Euro slot I kept my job,maybe the League Cup win may have helped as it gave Euro football. The entire season was just a washout with game after game seemingly going against me,hell 1 game I had 32 shots at goal with 14 on target,the other team had 3 shots and 1 on target and I got beat 1-0 <shrug> No point whining to much mate as like I said it has been spoke about to death here and either people will <shrug>and agree it needs looked at or people will<shrug>and say it is your tactics(well these days they have to add a bit more text than just that but it comes down to the same thing). Best just move on, I have only added a few back up players to my team and this season we are flying,my 2 strikers have both scored 10 goals each after only 5 league games and last season they were hitting the pie stall more than the goal<shrug> Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
