deadfncat
Shouldn't be too much of a problem. Although you need to make sure that San Marino start in the same division as they do to begin (Serie C1/A). Yeh they are. On the way to C1
leonavich
Club 2019-20 Our best season in terms of results, but a very patchy performance with only 1 real hot and cold streak throughout the year, and the remainder being fairly consistent in terms of an average performance. We started the season with a loss in the Italian Cup, which fit in with tradition, but won or opening league game to give us a mixed start to the season. This was followed with a loss, but a good run of 7 games without defeat saw us push into the playoff places early on. We then loss 7 out of 9 games to be languishing in the lower half, near to relegation, and the team was really struggling to hit the back of the net, which seemed to be a problem again for us this year, if not for the form of Laurito. The poor form took us in to the new year, but 4 wins on the trot in February brought us back to within a chance of a playoff spot, as the table was extremely tight this year round. Our form then got patchy, and we ended the season with 4 losses, 3 draws and 3 wins for a fairly consistent set of average results. 2 draws in our last 3 games essentially killed of our playoff hopes as we finished just 3 points away from 6th place, with 62 points and 8th place. We did manage some really big wins this year though, such as the 6-5 thriller with Alto Adige and the demolition of AlbinLeffe 7-1 which showed we can hit the back of the net if we are on our A game. The hope was to push a little better with the signing of Leandro, who was to be a key player upfront, but struggled with only 13 goals. He did however manage a fantastic 11 assists to be second only to Di Tacchio, who notched up 13 in the season. Our main problem was the ability to kill of games, allowing teams to come from behind for draws and wins on too many occasions. The shining light up front was once again Laurito who not only top scored with 32 goals for the club, but took out the Capocannoniere by a solitary goal. This also marked his highest goal total in a competition. Our two rocks on central defence, Bertolini and Cabalceta, once again did very well, but our weakest points are on the outside players with the right and left backs again struggling to keep up with their opposing numbers. Money is still an issue to come by so it will be some time before we are able to strengthen adequately in our most needed positions, Goalkeeper, wide Defence and holding midfield. This year also marked two awards for the side though, with Laurito winning both the Capocannoniere as well as a spot in the Team of the Year. These are his first awards since 2014-15, and the club first awards since Di Tacchio's 4 years ago in Serie C1/A. leonavich
Some bad news on the parent club front as The board mutually agree to terminate the link with Juventus While the link has not been utilized as of late in the way of loanees, I will need to find another parent club to boost some of our yearly income, even if only slightly. TWFL
Leonavich another good season. Leandro looks like an absolute find. I'm surprised at how well Bertolini is doing, I thought he'd just be a decent Sammarinese prospect but not much of a first team player for the club. Guess I was mistaken as it looks like he was solid at the back with the other CB.

N' Suki has started to get more game time now as Laurito is actually having a pretty off year in 20-21. Still only October though so early days, but its the first time I have had to rotate both striker positions due to inconsistency. So far though, the year is looking fairly promising so we will see how far they can go!

TWFL
San Marino - 2013/14Serie B League Table - So coming into this season I was very worried. I really felt like that we'd been promoted too early and that we weren't ready for this level. I was very wrong. To begin with we were trouncing teams with the team scoring freely (especially Leo Aro). But we hit a rough patch around November/December time and lost some confidence. A few were brought in during January with Mads Laudrup coming in and the formation was changed. This helped and kept us above the relegation fight, which meant we finished 17th. The main reason we stayed up was down to Leo Aro who finished 2nd top scorer in the league with 27 goals. This is the position chart. Squad - Managed to get by. Not as strong in depth as last season but it was enough to keep us up. Leo Aro the clear star man of the team and I'm almost certain I won't be able to hold onto him over the summer. The same goes for my keeper Mario Kirev who has been attracting interest from lots of clubs. Youth Intake - Pretty poor but I got one good player in with Alessandro Bianchi my first Sammarinese prospect in the team. The hope of the National Team. Finances - Still worrying although cash injections from the board have made it a bit better. Can't see it improving unless we get into the Serie A sometime soon. Next Season aims: -So after completing just one of my last seasons objectives I'm going to try easier ones. - Win a Cup Game. - Survive again. - Increase Junior Coaching. As I'm already halfway through the next season I will say it's been much harder this year and that's down to perhaps having a weaker squad as I was forced to sell and accept bids for stars of the team and people wanted huge wages. Just hoping I can survive, I have just found a potential Danish ST who could be a saviour so here's hoping.

deadfncat
San Marino - Serie C1/B - 2037/38 - Thirteenth Quite a fun season. We did a lot better than I expected, but still only just stayed up. Quality team is developing but I need to cut the fat from the team. Just waiting on some contracts to run out at the moment. Only just hung on via the Playout to save us from relegation which was lucky. League Table Games Finances - Running out of cash real quick, so we need a good Italian Cup run next year I think. Italian Cup - Did well in the first round against Varese, but couldn't face Novara from the Serie B who snuck by us Serie C Cup - Did really well to get to the groups and we ended up on four points with Beneveto the Witch Team. Sadly, they had a better PD overall and went through. Squad - Quality attack with some real potential, but we need some better defence. There is a decent keeper in the youth team who I will keep there for awhile yet. Key Player Profiles Alex Bonifazi - Another fantastic defender who Will be a rock in the national defence for awhile. Lots of potential. Giuseppe Cagnin - Great Italian defender who sadly wants to move to a bigger club. I told him we could get promoted in the next few years. Player of the Season Alberto Villa (YP1) - Great potential and after only being with us for 17 months or so, has already gained 9 caps and a goal. Youth Players A few youngsters. Really need that facility upgrade. Massimiliano Ciavatta (YP2) - Came through the system this year and was the only standout. Will get some games this season and be a star in years to come. leonavich
International 2020 After the season we had last year, this was a little disappointing for the National team. We had a few injuries to key players, but that was no excuse for some of the performances we put on display. a 5-2 loss to Lithuania was disappointing, but the 1-0 to Chinese Taipei was even worse. We then hit a couple of injuries and took some heavy losses to Romania (6-1) and France (8-0). We at least managed to end the season on a high note, pulling off a solid 0-0 draw with Poland, and followed that up with a 2-1 win in a revenge match verse Lithuania, who beat us earlier in the year. We need to pick up our form next calendar year, but our tough World Cup Qualifiers means we may have some trouble and will need to wait for the Euro draw to get some more wins to our name. We lack any new players that stand out, and last seasons hattrick hero, Righi, spent most of the year out injured so was not able to show if he is the man to lead us up front. Our backline still represents the majority of our best players, as shown in the draw to Poland, but we are still lacking real quality other than Bertolini and Bernardi in goals, who is also quite decent between the sticks. Advancements in the youth development/Junior coaching and training facilities are really needed soon otherwise I feel the national team may be in a static patch around 120-150 in the rankings until better quality comes in. 2020 Best XI Fixtures International Rankings 2012 – 209 2013 – 208 2014 – 209 2015 – 171 2016 – 190 2017 – 163 2018 – 180 2019 – 114 2020 – 145 Overall Best XI There are currently three San Marino Club players in the National team's overall best XI International Awards & Achievements Most Caps - Andy Selva (74) - Damiano Vannucci (67) - Maicol Berretti (59) - Manuel Marani (55) - Aldo Junior Simoncini (54) - Matteo Vitaioli (54) - Michele Cervellini (53) Most Goals - Andy Selva (10) - Leon Breakenridge (3) - Matteo Vitaioli (4) - Mattia Righi (3) - Mattia Stefanelli (3) - Roberto Angelico (2)

deadfncat
San Marino - Serie C1/B - 2038/39 - Ninth Starting to get better. The squad is quite weak in defence, but we don't leak many goals. Need to get the strikers with higher finishing and comp. League Table Games Finances - Low crowds mean the cash bonus we get at the start of the season from sponsership and TV rights just slowly leaks out. Need to get those bums in seats to start saving a bit. Italian Cup - Serie C Cup - Squad - Still great attack but we need that defence boosted. Key Player Profiles Alex Bonifazi - Another fantastic defender who Will be a rock in the national defence for awhile. Lots of potential. Giuseppe Cagnin - Hopefully will stick around for a few seasons more. Player of the Season Alberto Villa (YP1) - Easily our best player, but really need to get that finishing up. He failed on some easy chances this year. Youth Players No good pickups this season. Massimiliano Ciavatta (YP2) - Some quality stat increases this year. Had a few quality games in the top team too. TWFL
Does having Sammarinese coaches increases the number of Sammarinese in the youth intake? If so I did not realize that was the case. From past experience. That's why if you hire say a Nigerian only coaching staff then your Intake will contain a few Nigerians. Deadfncat - Solid season. You've got some very good SM youths, could be really big players for the NT over the next few years.

Bill_Strevros
Yep, I think I am close to bankrupting the club. And I have not got any one anywhere that good in my intakes, well done. I am nearing the end of the first season of my second serious attempt and sitting just outside the playoffs. Don't think I am going to make it there, slow start to the season is going to cost me because I certainly have a team good enough now.
Bill_Strevros
2012-2013 Update San Marino Club Finished 7th after a slow start saw me placed 13th just before the half way point of the season. While the second half of the season saw much improved results as the team played much better winning a number of games convincingly. The highlight being a win over eventual league winner Virtus Entella. League Table I played a 4-5-1 formation with an anchor man, 2 central midfielders and two wingers set as inside forwards. Full backs or wing backs depending on the strategy being used. Signings I signed quite a few players both before and during the season, probably too many for the financial side of the club. The players I signed to be part of the first team squad, as opposed to youngsters for the future. Mahamadou Sissoko - A star defender, formed an excellent defensive partnership with Galuppo in the centre of the 3rd best defense in the league Federico Laurito - My main striker who started almost every game, he topped the scoring with 13 goals, a few more would have been nice. Stefanelli managed 5 goals from 5 starts and 13 substitutions some to play out of position on the wing, this could be seen as a better return from the limited opportunities. Matteo Paro - was my main anchor man until the end of January when I decided to play him as a central midfielder. Good solid performer. Loanee Andrea Rosso - Signed to partner Lunardini as the two main central midfielders. Did an good job but was a little loose at times in passing and had too many long range attempts at goal. Terminated the loan at the end of January when I signed Mateus to be my main anchor man and pushed Paro to central midfield. Carlo Sciarrone - Signed to be my main goalkeeper but made too many mistakes and was disappointing. Still Vivan was not great either when he played so just held the number 1 goalkeeper position for the season. Julio Columbo - A left back who can played center back, something he might do more of next year. Really happy with him. Loanee Valerio Virga - A very good player, really improved during the season to be absolutely dominating in the last third of the season. However his wastefulness in front of goal in the first half of the season definitely was costly. This area of his game came good towards the end of the season when his 6 goals where scored, most of them at key times. Mateus - Signed at the end of January and immediately looked very good, however an injury ruled him out for 6 weeks. At 23 he hopefully will be around the club for along time. leonavich
Club 2020-21 So Close this season but still oh so far. We put in a very good performance for the season, but our final match was very disappointing and shows just how much of a step up we require if we do eventually make it to the Serie A. We started the season much like we ended the last. Consistently inconsistent. We picked up 3 wins a draw and two losses to open our campaign, including a good 5-0 win over Ternana. We then sparked a great 9 game unbeaten run, however only 3 of these were wins, but kept us within touching distance of the top 6. We then won 5 out of 7 coming in to the new years and put ourselves well and truly into the playoff spots, however Cesena were on an unbeatable run and were out to 20 points clear at the top. Our form dropped towards the end of the season as we lost 5 out of 8 but managed to do enough to maintain 6th spot and our first playoff opportunity in the Serie B. We had Chievo in the first round and managed to catch them off guard and strike quickly to give ourselves the lead. Chievo came back but we held on to win 4-2 and take the two goal advantage into the second leg. In the second leg, we once again came out looking to put the game out of reach early and struck up a quick 2-0 lead. With that, key players were rested to avoid unnecessary yellow cards, which allowed Chievo back in the game to make it 2-2 to end the game, but we were through to the finals and a great chance to make the Serie A. We were at home for the first game and played well in a very even encounter, however we were unlucky to concede from a fluke strike which put us a goal down coming in to the second leg. We started well in the second leg and struck first to level it on aggregate, but that is where our run stopped as we seemed to have just hit a dead end. Alto Adige came out and obliterated us once the scores became level as they hit 5 answered goals to really kick us in the gut. We have a long way to improve before we can become competitive in the playoffs let alone the Serie A so this is something we will need to improve on next year. The highlight for the year was the fact that we were not reliant on our usual players as much, which showed a good sign that we are getting a better even spread with our strikers and midfielders. Once again Laurito ended as the top scorer with 26 goals for the season, but N'Suki was right behind with 21. Two other players reach double digits for strikers with Danza getting 16 and Petrucci hitting 11. We also hit 7 players with double digit assists, Di Tacchio topping the charts with 15, followed by Petrucci, N'Suki and Laurito with 11 and Danza, Leandro and Pozzi hitting 10. Di Tacchio, though injured for the first few months of the season, still managed to make the Team of the Year, which is great news, but was not our only record/award for the season, with us beating the previous record of goals in the regular season, hitting 107 for the new Serie B record. Lupoli was signed onto the backroom staff to mark his return to the club as a scout which now sees us with Vivan, Lupoli, Miccoluci and Poletti as ex-players now in the backroom staff, as well as Flavio Roma and Roberto Baggio as previous international stars also helping out behind the scenes. Bill_Strevros
107 goals, that is a lot. Good to see the team continuing to improve. Hopefully next year to Serie A I also just realized I scored 51 points in both my completed first seasons, first time good enough for 5th, this time only 7th. I think the team played better this time as well but next year I will be right up there I am sure.

leonavich
decent Serie A potential anyone else have serious financial trouble in their first season ? Serious financial trouble even now in Serie B. The TV rights at the start of every season and the prize money at the end of the season save me as I usually go 1M+ into the red 107 goals, that is a lot. Good to see the team continuing to improve. Hopefully next year to Serie AI also just realized I scored 51 points in both my completed first seasons, first time good enough for 5th, this time only 7th. I think the team played better this time as well but next year I will be right up there I am sure. Yeah, I was surprised by such a large tally as well. My only worry now is that my key players, Di Tacchio and Laurito are into their 30's. I have not really had any other players step up until this season, so I am hoping that some of the younger ones who improved continue to impress this season as well to carry on the good form. leonavich
In other news, we had a potential take over, with talks taking place on the 26th May 2021. After having a few rocky patches, the take over finally completed on 14th of June 2021. No money was invested, and a £1.9m loan was taken out which will only worsen our yearly cash flow. The loan is bad as it was not required due to our yearly injection from TV revenue, sponsorships and culling that bring us back in to the red at the start of every season. My only hope is that this money will allow us to get some advancements to facilities that we badly need.
leonavich
Another win as we got the Junior budget and Youth Training facilities upgrades approved. The works is due to be completed in 2 months time.
TWFL
Am thinking of starting this challenge, but not sure about having to post so many screenshots.Does it matter what you set your manager reputation to at start of game? No it's up to you to decide what level you want as that varies the difficulty, although it is highly recommended just to put it to Automatic.

TWFL
My awesome San Marino DR is playing youth Internationals for Italy I need to get the national job !!! A common nightmare. I've recently got the NT job and I have a great dual nationality prospect but he is refusing a call up. I going to keep bugging him until he finally caves. Bill_Strevros
I lost my link with Juventus at the start of the second season. Said it was being underutilized. Juventus would not let me loan any of their players so there was no loans. Not a great loss if I was not going to be able to loan anybody anyway. deadfncat
A common nightmare. I've recently got the NT job and I have a great dual nationality prospect but he is refusing a call up. I going to keep bugging him until he finally caves. Yeh I have a feeling he will wait it out and try to get an Italian call up. Probably play 1 game for them and never again :/ Might have to call him up to the SM NT at like 15 just to lock him in
