Warrenwwr
i feel fullbacks need work rate. there's nothing worse than a fullback that doesn't get back to defend
kevt81
Is jumping important for a keeper, or is that just covered under aerial ability?
varun↕§☺☻♫
Wouldn't Bravery and Agility be important for a keeper? You wouldn't want a lethargic goalkeeper or a keeper who is too scared to put his body on the line to save a goal (which could be the equaliser or winning goal in a cup final). Just my opinion though. Also, shouldn't high composure be good for all players regardless of position?
rakhabbit
Composure is more of an attacking attribute, good on mc's, amc's, wingers & strikers/forwards. I read it as a players ability to stay calm & focused, when put under pressure by the oppositions marking/closing down, whilst he has the ball. Concentration is it's defensive counterpart. varun↕§☺☻♫
Composure is to stay calm, focused and not get overwhelmed by the pressure, just as you said. But concentration is the attribute which tells how likely is it that the player gets distracted and how well he can pay attention to the game. Wouldn't composure be good for defensive players too? They need to keep their cool to defend and not make red card tackles. Imo concentration and decisions should go hand-in-hand because if the player can concentrate really well, he is more likely to predict the move of the opposition and, thus, make the correct decision. Just my opinion though. Does anyone else agree/disagree?

Gecko
I am in league 2 finally But I was wondering what standard of stats would I look for, say 10 in all the mentioned stats for that position?

vladislav19
Gecko, just look at the squad of the team predicted to win your league or the one leading it. Then you have your baseline values. The number one attribute - and I feel like I'm telling some sort of secret here - is determination. Nothing is more important. Every player you ever bought who seemed like a superstar from his attributes, but performed like a clumsy ape - low determination. It is the attribute that wins you close games. Thus, I suppose, if you have a terrific, determined team, you can afford to have one or two weak-willed individuals with other qualities (e.g. free kick specialist with a penchant for trendy haircuts). The thing to keep in mind is that naturally all attributes matter. Anticipation, Team Work, Decisions and the Physical Attributes are important for all positions. I'll list the two or three I think critical when assessing a player. There are, of course, other considerations: if you have a wing-based attack with lots of crossing, you want a big lumping striker; if you play with a high defensive line, you want faster central defenders. GK: Reflexes, Positioning. (Irrelevant attribute: pace) L/RB: Concentration, Tackling. CB: Heading, Tackling, Marking. ML/R: Dribbling, Flair. CM: Work Rate, Passing. S: Finishing, Off The Ball. (Irrelevant attributes: marking, positioning)

Off the ball and Concentration too.
